Chapter 30:

A New End ( THE END )

The Exiled Explorer

After years of fighting to bring peace, El-Mahra now stands proudly. The city, once shadowed by the threat of evil power, has become a symbol of strength and harmony. The Luminaris crystal, which once caused destruction, now shines calmly, providing energy for the entire city without causing any danger.

In the vast palace garden, Khadija walks alone, her eyes fixed on the still waters of the pond. All of this is the result of their struggle—a struggle that not only changed El-Mahra but also transformed them as individuals. A struggle that reminds Khadija of the one who sacrificed everything for their freedom.

William.

Khadija takes a deep breath. William’s image—perhaps no more than a fragment of memory—still lingers here, in every corner of this city, in every echo of their steps that are now free. But, as William once said, life must go on. No one can turn back time, no one can bring back the lost.

"Alya," Khadija calls, her voice soft but filled with depth. Alya, who had been speaking with a researcher nearby, quickly runs over.

"What is it?" Alya asks, her eyes showing deep concern. They had been through so much together, and Khadija knew that Alya was the one who understood the magnitude of their loss the most.

"Everything we've done... is it enough?" Khadija asks, still staring at the tranquil pond. "Is this world really better now?"

Alya pauses for a moment, thinking about the words. "This world may not be perfect. No world is perfect. But we’ve given everything to achieve it. We’ve created a better future—for us and for the generations to come."

Khadija nods slowly, but her heart still feels empty. Losing William was such a huge loss for her. She hadn't just lost a friend, but a leader, someone who had given them new hope. And though El-Mahra had managed to survive its dark times, nothing could fill the emptiness left by William.

"Alya," Khadija continues, her voice full of emotions hard to express, "I think it’s time for a new step. I want to travel outside the city, to dive deeper into the world we’ve saved. There’s so much more to learn."

Alya looks at Khadija with full attention. "Are you sure? We’ve been through so much. Isn’t it time to rest and enjoy what we’ve achieved?"

Khadija smiles faintly. "I don’t think rest is something I can do. I have to keep moving forward, carrying the vision William left behind. There are many places out there we haven't explored. The world is still full of mysteries, and we have to keep discovering."

Alya says nothing more, only nods. She knows that Khadija’s journey will never be over. Just as William fought to the end, Khadija, too, has an unwavering spirit to keep moving forward.

They stand there, contemplating the future. The palace garden is now filled with children running and laughing, living freely in a safer world. This atmosphere of happiness is the result of what they fought for.

Khadija and Alya look at each other, then turn toward the palace doors. They know that although William is gone, his story will live on forever. In every step they take, in every decision they make, William will always be with them.

After several days of travel, Khadija and Alya arrive at the border of El-Mahra, the place where they first met William. It is now a symbol of hope, with a large monument depicting William in a pose of courage, his hand outstretched as if ready to protect the city from any threat.

Khadija stands before the monument, her eyes glistening with emotion. "I know, William, you will always be part of this journey."

Alya stands beside her, pausing for a moment. "We must continue living for him. This world cannot stop just because one person is gone. We will continue fighting for a better world—for us, for future generations."

Khadija nods. "That’s right. This world belongs to all of us, and we must protect the peace we've earned."

Alya smiles slightly. "I believe in you."

Khadija looks up at the clear sky, feeling the gentle breeze touch her face. They have been through so much, and though the feeling of loss will always be there, they know that life must go on. With the spirit William passed on, they are ready to step into the future.

In their hearts, William will always live— as a hero, a friend, and an explorer who never gave up.
