To fulfill Their Wishes

“June. I think it’s about time you get going. Someone’s looking for you after all,”. June looks up at her sister with tears in her eyes. “I don't want to leave you, sis,”. Her eyes welling again with tears.

Penny pulls June up off of her lap and picks her up, planting her down in front of her. “June, Look at me,”. As they to lock eyes, June wipes her face off again. “I’m always gunna be with you. Remember that. I’ll be rooting for ya up until the day we see each other again for real,”.

Penny stands up, towering over June, “Please just promise me you’ll do what I said. Don’t let your fear keep you from making friends you idiot. When you finish your work on Bonnie, go have a proper drink with Eddie. Enjoy yourself sis, so watching over you is even better,”.

“I promise sis. I’ll try to make friends,”. June turns her head to look around for a way to get out. “See ya, sis.” June whips her head back over to her sister, only to see that no one is standing in front of her. “See ya later Penny.” A smile and a single tear runs down her face.

After collecting her thoughts, June searches and eventually finds a cave entrance with glossy yellow crystals leading to a whole cave with luminescent crystals lining the walls. Bright green and orange balls of puffy flora that float like little wisps of light litter the cave.

June sees the crystals and immediately begins to follow into the cave. “I dunno where this goes but something’s telling me that if there's crystals, I’ll find Peewee. The from there we can go back the way they came and head home.

Time passes and after hours of walking, June see’s a set of beady little eyes looking at her from across a section of the cave. “PEEWEE, I’M OVER HERE!” Her voice echoes throughout the entire cave as the two run at eachother.

June notices that Peewee’s front left paw is broken and the rest of their body seems sore. “Oh Peewee, you’re hurt. I’m sorry buddy, Let me carry you out of here,”. Peewee looks up and notices that June’s is unsurprising in worse shape than they are and refuses to be carried.

Noticing Peewee looking at her bruises and cuts, she realizes that Peewee wont make her carry them. “I see, alright you loss buddy. Lets get the hell out of here!”.

Time passes and the two eventually make it out of the cave and Back to Fort Tattie, grab some dinner, and head to bed.

Year 2225

The Next Evening

Badabadabada, click- “June is that you! Oh my god, June! HA, You’re alive!”

With a light uncomfortable feeling in her stomach, June begins to panic for a moment, but feels her sister watching her, and it subsides.

“Hey! Hows it going Eddie! I figured I’d give ya call and thank ya for the research!” June spins in her chair, thinking of how different he looks. His hair is grown out more and he appears to have put on a lean amount of muscle.

“So June, Did ya watch my video I sent ya?” Her face a little embarrassed, “Oh shoot, my bad Eddie, I got too focused on the gravity stuff and totally forgot to watch it. What all was in it?”

Eddie looks at her jokingly mad, “Oh I see how it is,” Changing quickly to a laugh, “Nah I get it. That’s how you always were. Man, I’m sure it doens’t feel like it to you but so much time has gone by since I left, SInce you called, I take that as an invitation for me to yap for awhile.”

For the first time since her sister passed, June here’s someone start rambling about there own life and useless things, and she feels comfort rather than discomfort in the fact that someone wants to yap about their life to her.

“So, major events, I married Sabrina from the scout team.” June feels a sudden sinking feel, one foreign to her but from what she remembers, that feeling is jealousy. “Annnd, we divorced sadly. She was just too much of a party animal for me and we ended up finding all kinda of differences from it,”.

Traditionally, that kind of news is sad, but selfishly, June finds relief in his words. “Woah slow down, You got married to Sabrina? SHe’s wild dude, I could’ve told ya that! I saw her all the time with people-,”. She stops herself feeling like what she might say could upset him. “Sorry, I don’t wanna rub salt in ya wound,”.

Solemnly, Eddie looks up at the camera and says, “Nah, all good June, I already know what she did. What you saw, never stoped when she was with me. But hey, I did get a couple good things outta her!”

Eddie goes to life up a picture, “I become super confident in myself after having her in my life, and-”, He flips around the picture. A little blonde girl laughing looks up in the picture

June’s jaw-dropping, “This is the main thing I said in the video to try and entice you into calling me sooner, but I suppose you gotta watch the video for it to reel you in.”, June looks away in shame.” Sorry by the way,”.

“No worries, anyways, My daughter's name it Juniper. Figured ya would like that one,”. Her face completely changing, confused and a little shocked. “Eddie, that’s my name! Why’d ya name her after me?”

His face was fully in shock, “That’s your real name? I thought it was June! What the heck??” Eddie begins to burst out laughing. “Woah, I mean, I named her after you because while we never were super close, I always admired everything about you, so I saw it as a good luck charm to name her after one of the coolest people I’ve met. Hopefully, she’ll end up as independent and capable as you June!” He sits, laughing in his chair, fully oblivious to her rosy cheek.

The conversation eventually shifts to her and her exploits, eventually showing Eddie Peewee, the slingshot, the gravity-gun, and everything else, leaving Eddie amazed even more. Time passes and June lives on here days, calling and talking more and more to Eddie and continuing her promise to the company, and her promise to her family.
