Chapter 14

1 month earlier, in the Kyoto meteorological center, Kurao had entered to view the recordings of the metrological readings when he saw the storm which had formed above Kagoshima on the day of the zombification. 

“Kagoshima... So that’s where the source of zombification is,” he thinks. 
It was then that, like a flash, a memory came back to his mind. 

"Kagoshima... But that's where Dad died... Dad, are you linked to zombification? " He asks himself, wearing a look of confusion and fear, turning around and seeing Kiyoko who had become quite pale. 

-Kiyoko! he exclaims in tears

- I'm afraid Kurao. She told him

Kurao gets closer to her, she was weakened sitting on an armchair, that's when Kurao puts his hand on the handle of the Katana. 

- I'm sorry Kiyoko. he said in tears

- why do you say that ? she asks in a frightened era. 
Her voice could barely be heard, she could no longer move, that's when Kurao took the katana out of its sheath, he held it with both hands and raised his arms, the end of the katana pointed towards the heart by kiyoko.

CHAPTER 14: FINDING A SOLUTION

As he was about to strike Kiyoko, the latter's words came back to his mind "if one day I were to be transformed into a zombie I would like it to be you Kurao who could kill me" at the moment when Kurao's katana went and touched kiyoko's heart it had stopped suddenly stop. 

- I know that you will blame me for the rest of your life and that you would rather be dead than turn into a zombie, but I am incapable of killing... Not after things become clear in my heart.. . Kiyoko I would like you to know that you have become my oxygen, an indispensable person in my life and I would like to be your hydrogen, a person on whom you can always count... I will gladly give you a part of me to save you! he exclaims in tears. 

It was then that Kiyoko started laughing while shedding tears. 

- You then, you are irredeemable... At any moment I will be turned into a zombie and I would not want to hurt you... I care too much for you I won't be able to bear it... So please please kill me. She begs him

- I know how to limit your transformation at least for the next 2 months. He said to her, wiping his tears. 

- Really ? she asks

- yes, first I will start by burning your wound to prevent it from becoming infected; the heat will kill some of the microbes then I will use electricity to put the microbes to sleep... But this will not be enough when the electrical anesthesia ends you will immediately change into a zombie to avoid your transformation you will have to take anti-inflammatories regularly. Kurao told him.

Kurao had used his electric gang on Kiyoko who was asleep, he took off her blouse then he put Kiyoko on her back. He had entered the elevator with Kiyoko on his back. while the elevator was going down Kurao couldn't stop crying it was too much for him. 

“I was able to reassure you, but until when will you be?” he asks himself. 

The elevator had arrived at the ground floor, as soon as the doors opened Kurao started running as fast as he could to the house where they had spent the night. He places Kiyoko in a bed, her skin was much paler than in the center. 

"My katana is only half charged, my gang taser is 80% and my glasses are 100%, with that I won't encounter any resistance" he thinks while wearing his blouse. 

Kurao sees Kiyoko shivering from the cold, so he uses a quilt to cover her. Kurao took a car and headed to the hospital. He stopped 50 meters away and continued on foot to avoid waking the zombies. Arriving 15 meters from the hospital Kurao sees an alpha zombie who was awake in broad daylight unlike the others who were asleep this one was taking 100 steps as if he was looking for something, it is none other than a zombie shinji kiyoko's little brother

"Holding an alpha zombie... Is he awake at this hour? He probably sensed me coming... in short, I'm going to neutralize him before he can wake the others" he thinks as he approaches slowly of him. 

Kurao takes a shuriken and throws it towards the zombie, the latter had turned his head towards the shuriken which was coming at full speed towards him, he had simply shifted his head slightly to the left thus avoiding the shuriken. 

"It's impossible that a zombie can avoid a projectile, a lightning bolt still passes but not an alpha zombie" he said to himself as he drew his katana. 

It was then that he saw the zombie smile at him, the next moment the zombie appeared behind him and struck with a straight right. 

“Impossible, an alpha zombie can't be that fast, so how does he manage to be that fast?” he asks himself in a sweat. 

The rear cameras of Kurao's glasses had filmed the zombie, Kurao was crouching as quickly as he could, he had managed to avoid the punch at the same time he had taken support on his left hand and was returning while giving a straight kick to the zombie, it was last seeing the blow coming he used his arm to protect himself, Kurao's kick had hit his arm and not his head, but the impact was such that the zombie was propelled. Kurao puts his Katana back in its sheath and takes the opportunity to take more shurikens and throws it towards the zombie before it can get up. The zombie endowed with combat intelligence was crushed in the wall of a house which was nearby, the shurikens arrived at full speed towards him, he seemed to have lost consciousness, While the shurikens were going to touch his body had reacted instinctively and thanks to his speed he had managed to shift in time, the shurikens were embedded in the cracked wall before catching fire. The zombie born from Shinji had just gotten up, that's when he let out a shrill cry, all the zombies in the surrounding area had just woken up and headed towards him. Barely had he finished letting out his cry when he was pierced by Kurao's katana with a thrust.
