"My stats have changed in the five months I've been here. Though there's nothing great about it," Kael said as he looked at his system window.
"Do you humans sleep for this long all the time?" Alastair questioned.
"Shut up, I've been sleeping like an ordinary human for these past five months because I used to spend most of my time in dungeons and labyrinths," Kael said as he got off his bed and began stretching.
"Well, I'll be going to sleep mode since maintaining this body consumes mana. Don't do anything stupid," Alastair said.
"I won't."
Alastair disappears.
[It's been 5 months since I joined the Academy. Just one month left to complete the first semester. But for the past months, Princess and Eve have been bugging me. It's a complete drag.]
Kael dresses up in his school uniform and puts a white hoodie under the blazer.
[I've been performing well in my studies but thanks to the prejudice, I've never been a top student. I got my deserved marks in the combat department thanks to the fear incarnate. But I worry about my other subjects.
Kael walks into the Academy premises and every single student and staff glares at him.
[Discrimination, Prejudice, and death stare. These are the everyday things I receive. The old me would fear for my life but now I have the power. Things will be different.]
In the Student Council Office...
"It's amazing that he does not quit and he keeps attending, that cursed kid."
{Ophelia Frostvale: Secretary of the Asta Academy Student Council. Year: 3, A. Academy Rank: Exemplar (An A Tier for the Academy}
"It's not impressive, it's just foolish. Both the professors and students don't welcome him and treat him harshly. I say he's just arrogant."
{Gareth Alderwood: Treasurer of the Asta Academy Student Council. Year: 3, A. Academy Rank: Exemplar}
Lyra is just sitting in the office's corner, reading a book.
{Lyra Ashbourne: Vice President of the Asta Academy Student Council. Year: 3, A. Academy Rank: Exemplar}
"It's neither amazing nor foolishness."
{Elowen Heiliger: President of the Asta Academy Student Council. Year: 3, A. Academy Rank: Exemplar}
"Hm?"
"If you've noticed, there hasn't been a single student who has taken him down. He is one of three first-year students with Exemplar rank," Elowen said.
"That's because we haven't held the Asta Academy Exemplar tournament," Gareth said.
"That's why you shouldn't pay attention to him. Now, back to work. Mr. Kim can call us for a mission anytime," Elowen ordered.
"R-right..." 'She sure is scary.'
'In the Kingdom of Nevan, there are those they call the Prophesied heralds, each a genius. Three of the Heralds are Astral Magi already, and three are present in the Academy. If I have to estimate, I'd say he's at the same level as they are. I'd have to check into this kid more,' Elowen thought.
Meanwhile, in the Asta Academy's First Year Class A classroom, Kael comes walking into the classroom and every student watches him walk to his seat. They start murmuring amongst themselves.
"It's been five months and he has always worked alone. This should be a sign that he has no place here," Williams said.
"He's an idiot! An idiot!" Anneliese yelled.
"..." Kael keeps silent.
"Alright! Alright! Alright!"
A muscular man in a camouflage tank top, with orange shorts and grey sneakers comes running into the classroom and stands at the podium.
"It's finally time! Are you all ready Bebe!?" the man yelled.
All the students in the classroom look at the man with dumb expressions on their faces.
"Huh? Didn't you guys hear?" the man asked.
"Ready for what?" one of the students questioned.
"For physical education! So let me hear it!"
The students just stare at him once again.
(What's with this guy? Is he an idiot?)
"The name's Thalion Valmont, I'm going to be your physical education teacher. So all of you prepare to get in shape."
In the female's locker room, the female students change into their sports tracksuits and they watch Eve change with their faces flushed.
"Not only is she beautiful, but she also has a beautiful figure," One of the female students murmured.
"Is she a commoner? How can her skin be so smooth," the other female student murmured.
"She really is like an angel," the third female student murmured.
"Tch!" Elara exclaimed.
In the male locker room, all the boys change into their clothes, and they all look at Kael, who is about to put on his T-shirt. His muscular, lean body is filled with scars.
'So is this what the girls in class were looking at!?"
"Hm?"
The students are jogging around the academy's sports field, and some are out of breath. The girls are screaming in praise as they watch Arthur lead the jog.
"Quite an attention seeker he is," Eve who's jogging next to Kael said.
"Says the person who has eyes all over her around the clock," Kael said.
"Wouldn't that apply to you," Eve said.
"Gah!"
"There's no need to hold a grudge against me for something that happened eight months ago. Wasn't one of the mottos teamwork," Eve said with a gentle smile.
"What's your deal with me? Aren't there other men you can bless your attention with? I'm sure that would make them happy," Kael said.
"No, I'm only interested in you right now," Eve said with a smile.
'What's with that damn girl!' Elara and Ada thought to themselves.
Arthur glares back at Kael and an image of a serpent appears in his head, causing him to quickly face forward and start shuddering. After the jog, all the students play sports with each other while Kael sits on the bench with a towel on his head. Someone offers him water, and he looks and sees it's Eve.
"You always gotta hydrate yourself," Eve said.
"..."
Kael takes the bottle of water from Eve, and Eve gently smiles at him.
"Did you poison the water by any chance," Kael questioned with a suspicious look on his face.
"And why would I do such a thing to a fellow student, my best friend no less," Eve said.
(Well, poison doesn't work on me so I should be fine.)
'What's happening? I'm showering him with kindness but he doesn't seem to fall for me. That ability of his, if I could make it mine, my plans will go smoothly,' Eve thought to herself.
"Hey, Eve."
Arthur walks up to Eve and he brushes his hair.
"I'm sure you know, I'm the son of the king. If you're willing, I'd like to introduce you to my family," Arthur said with a flirty smirk.
"Get lost, I'm in the middle of something," Eve coldly said.
"What? Huh?"
"Can you not see I'm with someone," Eve said.
Arthur looks and sees Kael looking at him, the towel covering his left eye and his right eye steady. Arthur moves back, shuddering. As he looks at Eve, he regains his resolve, walks up to Kael, and looks down on him.
"Kael Voss, I challenge you to a football match."
(He overcame the fear incarnate? It happened after he looked at Eve. Could it be one of Eve's skills? Might be Eve and I polar opposites.) Kael thought to himself as the aura he's releasing a serpent, and Eve a maiden. Kael then said, "I'm not interested in your sports game. Get lost"
"Oho, what's this? Is the great Kael Voss scared of gaining his first loss?" Arthur taunted with a grin on his face.
A vein pops up near Kael's eyes and he clenches his fist saying, "Bring it on, you spoiled rat."
A few minutes later, Kael and Arthur are at the center of the field, wearing footbawl uniforms that reads: "Colossal Titan"
The girls all cheer...
"Ahhh!"
"Lord Arthur!"
"He's so hot!"
"Squash that bug!"
"Okay both of you, I want a clean match. No grudges will be held regardless of who wins," Thalion said.
"Understood," Arthur agreed.
"..."
'I'll defeat him and lay Eve's eyes on me, once she figures I'm far stronger than this ant.' "We're free to use our powers, right?"
"Bring it on."
"Begin!"
Arthur picks the footbawl up and comes running at full speed.
"It's time to amp up my speed."
Arthur releases a bright blinding light and begins moving at light speed.
'Let's see what you'll do about this. No Herald surpasses me when it comes to speed.'
Kael appears before Arthur with his face shaded and silver glows coming from both eyes.
"You're too predictable."
Kael tackles Arthur down and grabs the ball from him. He runs to Arthur's side and places a touchdown.
"Five points will go to Kael Voss."
'No way, not only was he able to read Arthur's speed, but he was also able to react. Is this what Reapers are capable of?' Ada thought to herself as Kael looked back at Arthur with his eyes glowing silver.
Arthur clenches his fist and says, "I'm not done yet!"
Kael and Arthur keep playing and Kael keeps scoring on Arthur, leaving him to eat the dirt. Kael is agitated at the way Arthur keeps coming back for more.
'This Kael Voss is far superior to Arthur Armstrong in speed and strength, interesting. I would've said he's a tanker because of the strength but the speed says otherwise,' Thalion thought to himself.
Kael scores the final goal on Arthur, dropping him to the floor. Arthur rests his back on the ground and starts breathing hard, whilst Kael's bangs obscure his eyes. The female students murmur...
"No way..."
"Arthur lost to that guy..."
"The winner of this match, Kael Voss with 95 points to zero," Thalion initiated the points as Kael walks off the field.
