Chapter 129:

Library at home.

The Lifeless Supermoon: A Fateful Encounter

I have realised something today, Kuze-kun is especially a talented learner. He took most of the information I gave him during the tutorial on how to blind pick and read. In the end, he choose 5 books that he didn't know of, which I actually knew were pretty good books to read. That meant the tutorial was success.

"Umm... Miko-san, if you don't mind, I would like to treat you for today." I thought this was the end of it, but Kuze-kun decided to take me to a nearby cafe shop inside the mall. This is looking more like a date, but I will play along for now. Sometimes, something like this won't hurt much.

"Thank you, Kuze-kun. I don't know how to repay you." I was grateful. Life was fun after he came in. Leading the same boring life again like in the past felt suffocating.

An hour went by when we were inside the cafe. It was on the second floor. It was then when I forgot that I didn't buy any books for myself. A new book released recently and it would be bothersome to come here again for that book. So I decided that as we will be going our separate ways we should go by the bookstore again. And Kuze-kun didn't mind my request. But instead of using the escalator I decided to use the staircase instead.

"Miko-san, do you have a library at your home?"

"Eh? What kind of question is that?"

"No I mean, you read so many books couldn't you technically make a whole library out of it?" I thought of that question for a bit. What he said was technically true in some sense.

"You see, after some time blind pick and read becomes that natural way to find good books, but there will be some books that are not your type that you bought. This happens to me to, and when that happens, I give it to my friends who might be interested or sell to them."

"That's clever."

I gazed at Kuze-kun while we were going down the staircase. He looked more mature now. His personality changed, and I cannot call him muscles for brains any more. "You have changed, Kuze-kun."

"Eh? Have I?"

"Yes. You seemed to have developed characteristics of the mc of the books you read. I can feel it." A smile uncontrollably came out of my face. He really looked matured.

This is the moment when I realised that I should've looked where I placed my feet when I am going down the staircase. I placed one of my legs halfway in the stair, lost my balance and fell down as I saw the horror on the face of him...
