Lost Child from Another World

After lunch, they didn’t have classes for the rest of the day, so they returned to their dorm rooms. Cyrus, Atlas, and Ronan dropped Sophie off at her dorm building first before making their way back to their room.

Atlas wanted to nap while Cyrus wanted to catch up on reading. As for Ronan, he decided to nap with Atlas because he had nothing else to do.

“Do you have to sleep on my bed too? It’s a bit cramped don’t you think?” Atlas questioned Ronan who took off his shoes and his coat.

“Isn’t it fine? We used to nap next to each other all the time.”

“When we were kids.”

“So what? We are just sleeping.”

Atlas sighed and gave up. He knew that Ronan was stubborn, so he went on the side up against the wall and faced it.

He closed his eyes and didn’t say a word. He was really tired and hoped to sleep for at least two hours. Sir Walter, Star, and Lapis also napped on the floor next to his bed.

Ronan laid next to Atlas, but he didn’t nap. He had his back to Atlas, so he wasn’t just staring at it.

He was thinking about what Cyrus said to him on the night of the debut. He did want to be honest with Atlas, but he didn’t know how.

Does Atlas even like him like that?

For the first time, Ronan was feeling insecure and doubtful about himself. It took a long time before he could finally rest his mind.

When Atlas woke up, Ronan was still sleeping. He didn’t know that Ronan had fallen asleep an hour after him.

Atlas slowly got out of bed doing his best not to disturb Ronan. As for Sir Walter and them, they were already awake.

In the dorm, since it was one room with two beds, Cyrus was there, reading at his desk. He noticed Atlas woke up, so he put his book down and turned around.

“Did you sleep okay? Are you hungry?” Cyrus asked since it was nearing dinner time.

“I slept okay and I am a bit hungry,” Atlas responded while rubbing his stomach. “Should we wake Ronan up so we can go eat?”

“I am awake now, let’s go eat.” Ronan woke up while Atlas was moving around but he thought it was cute to see him struggling to get past him.

The three of them left the dorms and coincidentally met Sophie and her friends on their way to the cafeteria. Although Sophie didn’t have any roommates, her friends were nearby, so it was easy for them to do things together. Interestingly, her friends were engaged to each other.

When they arrived at the cafeteria, a large number of students were already there. Many students looked in their direction but didn’t say a word to them.

Everyone got their food trays, but Atlas had an extra plate. He ate a lot, and the portion sizes given to normal students were not enough.

Even though Ronan had seen Atlas eat, he was still shocked at how much he ate.

The table could seat 8 people, but since they were a group of 6, there were two extra tables at the end. Sophie and her friends sat on one side while Ronan, Atlas, and Cyrus sat on the other side. Cyrus was at the end with Sophie.

A brave soul decided to ask if they could join them at the table. The other tables and chairs in the cafeteria were quickly taken while their table still had extra room.

“Hi, my name is Andi. There are no more seats, so can I sit here?” The young man who asked was named Andi Onavin. He had ashy blond hair and blue eyes. He was on the smaller side, so he looked cute and bubbly.

He was once a commoner but was adopted by the Onavin family that protected the Hirean Border by the Holy Kingdom. They were just a baron house, but were given the noble title two generations ago.

“That’s fine.” Atlas smiled but he had a weird feeling about this person.

Andi sat next to Cyrus, eyes full of admiration. “Thank you for letting me sit here. I haven’t been able to make any friends so I was worried I might have to sit outside of the cafeteria!”

Even though he thanked them, he was only looking at Cyrus. He never glanced at Atlas.

Cyrus didn’t say anything and continued to eat his food. Occasionally, he would talk with Sophie, Ronan, or Atlas but ignored the person who decided to sit next to him.

Andi seemed a bit frustrated that Cyrus was ignoring him, but he did his best to insert himself into conversations. Especially the conversation about their electives.

Cyrus mentioned his electives because one of Sophie’s friends asked. He didn’t think anything of it when he answered them.

“I also picked management and accounting,” Andi spoke up, trying to get Cyrus’ attention. “Since we have classes together, I hope we can be good friends.”

Andi was about to touch Cyrus’ arm, but he felt a strong gust of wind push his arm back. When he looked up, he saw Sophie smiling at him, but her eyes were cold and unfeeling.

“I apologize for using magic, but Cyrus is my fiancé,” Sophie’s voice was calm like she was saying something casually. “Since you are new to nobility, I will tell you now that you are not allowed to touch someone with a fiancé unless you are family. Since this is your first time, I hope that you won’t do this again, understood?”

“Ah, I am really sorry, I really didn’t know.” Andi brought his arms to his chest, rubbing them. He actually wasn’t in pain, but he hoped Cyrus would look at him and feel sorry for him.

Cyrus didn’t say or look at him. “Sophie, I am sorry for not paying attention.” Honestly, he didn’t like the way Andi looked at him, so he was doing his best to filter him out. He was negligent and almost let someone else touch him.

“Atlas, can I switch seats with you?”

“Cyrus, let me switch with you.” Ronan volunteered. He knew Atlas wanted to continue sitting next to Cyrus, so he decided to move instead.

Plus, if Andi tried to touch him, he would freeze his hand so he wouldn’t think about touching anyone ever again.

Cyrus thanked him and switched seats. Sophie also switched seats with one of her friends so she could sit in front of Cyrus.

With Cyrus moving without remorse, Andi felt uncomfortable. He moved his seat closer to the edge of the table so he wasn’t so close to Ronan. Andi didn’t talk for the rest of the time. He kept to himself, head almost in his tray of food.

Everyone could see that he approached their table because he wanted to get close to Cyrus. Everyone in high society knew that Cyrus had a fiancée, so they felt it was disgusting that he would try to approach and touch someone who was openly engaged.

Atlas glanced at Andi one more time and finished the rest of his food. Even if he wasn’t the smartest, he was sensitive to strong negative emotions, especially toward himself, his family, and friends.

Andi had strong negative emotions toward him and Ronan. There was fear, disgust, anger, and hatred. As for why, Atlas wasn’t sure. What could he have done for someone to feel this way about him?

Still, he needed to tell Cyrus to be careful around this person.

When everyone finished their dinner, they went back to their dorms. This time, Ronan didn’t follow them into their room, so it was just Atlas and Cyrus.

Once the door was closed, Cyrus looked at Atlas. “You have been giving me this look since dinner. Do you have something to say to me?”

Atlas nodded. “I would be careful around that Andi person… He has strong, negative emotions toward me and Ronan. There was hatred and even disgust. As for why, I am not sure.”

Cyrus didn’t feel that coming from Andi, but he trusted Atlas who was more emotionally sensitive than he was. Honestly, he didn’t want to talk with Andi because he looked at him with admiration and lust, which made him uncomfortable.

“I understand. I also felt uncomfortable around him, so I will not interact with him…”

Luckily, Sophie was also in the same electives as him and Andi, so he could stick with her when the time came. She was protective over him, so he was sure that Sophie would not let Andi get too close.

“That’s good. There is something about him that I can’t shake off…” Atlas was relieved to know Cyrus believed him.

“Don’t worry, Atlas, I will ask Father to check his background. Since he decided to approach me, I will make sure that he would regret it if there are ulterior motives.” Cyrus had already decided to investigate Andi before Atlas said anything to him, but now he felt it was important to get it done as soon as possible.

Grandpa Marky: Hey everyone, sorry about my inconsistent updates. I lost my full-time job due to health issues so it's been rough. I'm still not feeling well. This migraine has been never-ending so I am trying my best to rest and hope for the best.

Anyway, thank you for being patient and I will see you all in the next chapter (whenever that happens). Have a lovely day/night my beautiful grandchildren!
