Chapter 29:

Chapter 29: New Goal

Howl: Extermination

Leona groaned, her eyes slowly beginning to open. As she woke up, she felt groggy, unaware of where she was. Once fully awake, Leona looked around her surroundings, she was inside some kind of cage. “What is this?” She walked over to the front and banged on the glass. “HEY! HEY!!!!” No one answered her. At least, no one on the outside. “No one can hear you while the holes are sealed.” A male voice spoke next to her. She walked over and saw the three slits opened in the right wall. “Who are you? Where am I?” “You must be one of Ferral’s friends, right?” This time, a female voice spoke. “You know Ferral? Please, tell me what is happening?” “You are being held prisoner in the main facility of the Organization,” The male voice said, “You, along with us five will probably be executed sooner or later.” Leona gasped, “Exectued? Wait? Did you say five?” “Yes,” The female voice replied, “Look to your left.” Leona turned her head, spotting the three other cages, each holding an experiment. Two males and one female, they each looked oddly like Ferral.

“Who are you guys?” “We are clones of your friend,” The male beside her said, “I am 9321, and with me is 9322. Those three in front are 9323, 9324, and 9325.” “Clones? I’m out for a few hours and everything seemingly goes to shit.” Leona closed her eyes, trying to remember what had happened. The other lionesses, Clare, and Buck….all killed. By Ferral. “Hey! Where’s Ferral?! What happened to him?!” Leona asked urgently. “We don’t know.” 9322 said. “We haven’t heard from in quite a few hours.” 9321 added. Leona groaned. “Ferral,” She muttered, “What’s happening?”........

Victor laughed, “Given how you only used half of the revival fluid, I’d say you’ve only got about ten or so minutes of its effects.” “I’ll only need five minutes to kill you.” Ferral retorted. He burst forward, dropping to sprint on all fours. He cocked back his right first and went for a punch, but Victor blocked it, the spikes on his body stabbing into Ferral’s fist. He quickly pulled back his hand, Victor whipping his tail at Ferral. He jumped out of the way, only getting his clothes ripped. He looked at his knuckles, the wounds healing up. He was faster than the others, and those spikes around his body will make it harder to get any damage in without taking any himself. However, Ferral wasn’t worried, not as long as the fluid was active. Victor ran at Ferral, ready to go on the offensive. He threw some punches and kicks but didn’t seem to be proficient at fighting. His moves were predictable, but those spikes were making up for his lack of skill. With each block Ferral did, he was still cut or stabbed. Even when he went on the counterattack, Ferral would still get injured.

Ferral punched Victor in the stomach, grabbed his left arm, and threw him over his shoulder into a wall. His hand bled but healed instantly. Victor got up and rushed to Ferral, then he got an idea. Ferral groaned, holding his heart in pain and falling to his knees. Victor looked confused as Ferral reverted back to his awakened state, but continued his attack. He punched Ferral across the face, and again, then tackled him and slammed him through the bridge. As the two fell, Victor punched Ferral again before elbowing him as he hit the ground. He coughed up blood, not getting any time to retaliate, Victor continued punching him across the face. “YOU SEE?!?! YOU WERE NEVER GOING TO BEAT ME!!!!!” Victor laughed insanely. “MY GOAL IS INEVITABLE! MANKIND WILL BE EXTERMINATED, AND I WILL BE IN CONTROL!!!!” He finished his assault with a full-force punch that knocked the two through another bridge. They crashed into the one below, and Ferral lay unconscious. Victor, panting heavily, laughed at his victory. He threw his head back and laughed louder……“UGH!” He groaned after getting hit by something. He looked down and saw Ferral’s left arm through his chest. A smirk forming on his face, Ferral opened his eyes, bright yellow swirling into the crimson to form that flame color.

He punched Victor in the face and he was sent flying back, landing on the edge of the bridge. As Ferral got up, his body transformed into the new evolved state. “For being my father, you really are a fool.” He jeered, “I guess it runs in the family.” As Victor got up, he grunted and the hole in his chest started closing. “Heh, you didn’t think you were the only one who could regenerate, did you?” He chuckled. Victor blinked and Ferral was gone, his eyes widening in fear as he felt the back of Ferral’s left fist pressed against the right side of his face. “No,” He replied, “But, now I know you’re not worth taking seriously. So I’ll kill you now.” Victor growled, spinning around to attack, but Ferral backhanded him away. He chased after him, grabbed his left leg, and threw Victor into the air. He passed through the holes of the two broken bridges and slammed into the third one, Ferral jumping after him and uppercutting his stomach. They broke through the bottom of the bridge, Ferral grabbing Victor’s left arm and spun threw him into the wall.

He bounced off it, but as he was about to hit the ground, Ferral kneed him back against the wall. Ferral let Victor’s body fall a little for kicking it straight and punching across his face and stomach, bouncing his back and forth against the wall. Each punch getting faster and stronger, there was no way to counter. Ferral kicked Victor in the face and sent him off the floor. Ferral jumped after him, curling his legs before slamming them both into Victor’s chest, smashing through several of the bridges. Starting to lose momentum, Ferral grabbed his ankles, spun around in the air, through the hole in the middle of the building, and smashed Victor’s body into the main floor. A small crater formed upon impact, Ferral flipped onto his feet. Victor groaned in pain as he struggled to get up, Ferral running at him and sliced off his right arm. He screamed out, quickly regrowing it, but Ferral sliced off one of his legs. Victor stumbled as he hopped on the other, sprouting out the new one, Ferral slicing off his left arm. Back and forth, over and over Ferral severed one of Victor’s limbs. The strain of having to keep regowing them took its toll and Victor was at the end of his strength. Ferral ended his chain with one final attack, he rushed in and sliced Victor in half from the waist along with his right arm.

He didn’t have the strength to regrow this, and as his body started to turn back to normal, he quickly closed off the bottom of his severed half before hitting the floor. As Victor used his left hand to inch his way forward, Ferral turned around, looking down in disgust. Victor stopped and looked up at his son, “What now?” He chuckled, “Killing me won’t change anything. And it’s like you said, reanimation is only making puppets. In the end, you still lost everything.” Victor laughed hoarsely, stopping to cough up blood. “It doesn’t matter what you do,” He continued, “There will be someone to pick up where I left off.” Ferral began walking toward his father, “You’re right, about everything.” He put his right foot on top of Victor’s head, “Especially about someone picking up where you left off. That someone is me.” “W-what?” Ferral started to push his foot down, “This world is filled with nothing but hate and suffering. But our species? They don't know what REAL pain is. The pain that I feel. So my new goal is to share my pain with mankind. Starting with you, father.” As he put more force into his foot, Victor groaned in pain, grabbing Ferral’s foot to try and take it off, but couldn’t. He cried out in pain as he heard the sound of cracks, blood flooding his eyes, he let out one final scream before Ferral completely crushed his skull.
