Chapter 21:
Final Chapter
Dracula rode through the forest, his eyes glowing with an intense red light. He and his undead army left a trail of fire in their wake, riding flame-covered horses. Each soldier wore a hooded gown that concealed their faces and most of their bodies, with only their pale, skeletal hands exposed.
Sensing Dracula’s kantar, Hannah shivered.
“His power… it’s increased massively since we sensed it back in Pata,” she thought. “This is what makes a demon lord so dangerous. They rapidly grow stronger through damage taken in battle, and their healing factor is five times more potent than that of a human who can manipulate kantar. He’s become a true threat.”
Knowing she had no choice but to stall him, she teleported to his location. A massive purple kantar sphere infused with her innate technique formed in her hand, and with one attack, she wiped out half of Dracula’s army. The rest, including Dracula himself, quickly regenerated from the damage.
Dracula laughed, his voice twisted and demonic.
"Oh, how the mighty have fallen. You were once a fierce, barbaric celestial warrior — so powerful that even we demon lords feared you. Now look at you… a hollow shell of your former self. Don’t worry, I’ll end your pitiful suffering.”
Hannah smirked.
"You really think I’ve fallen just because I’m human now? I might not have divine kantar anymore, but I still have more than enough power to kill you."
She dashed toward Dracula, her hands glowing with kantar. But before she could land a blow, a soldier jumped in front of Dracula and took the hit. The soldier coughed up blood and began to disintegrate. As he turned to dust, Hannah caught a glimpse of his face—and froze in shock.
Her eyes widened. She turned to Dracula, her aura flaring wildly as her purple kantar surged with intensity.
Dracula grinned.
"What? You didn’t expect me to use my sacrifices as part of my army? I wasn’t planning to… but after my fight with Hanz, I needed to rebuild my numbers."
Rage overtook her. In a blur, she struck Dracula with a powerful blow that sent him flying. Before he hit the ground, she appeared behind him and unleashed a devastating barrage of attacks, causing him to cough blood.
As he hit the forest floor, Hannah stepped on his chest.
"You’ll pay for what you did. They were innocent people. Orphans. I’ll kill you for this."
Her final punch, imbued with her innate technique, began turning Dracula to dust. His screams echoed through the forest — but even as his body crumbled, he wore a twisted grin.
Then she felt it — his kantar… elsewhere.
"He split his core," she realized, gritting her teeth. "That bastard."
Teleporting to the new location, she arrived just in time to witness Dracula's regeneration. Kantar condensed into a humanoid form, rapidly reconstructing his body.
Dracula emerged, smirking.
"The anger on your face… it’s thrilling. I’ll admit, I underestimated you. I thought being in a human body would strip you of your power. But your innate technique still carries half the strength you once had."
Hannah didn’t hear a word. Her only thought: kill him. She charged again, fists blazing with purple kantar. But Dracula blocked every strike with just a finger.
"What kind of technique is this?!" she shouted.
Dracula chuckled.
"It’s not a technique. It’s simple. Right now, I’m physically stronger than you — and my kantar is of a higher grade. We demon lords use Dark Kantar, the inverse of your former Divine Kantar. A kantar technique only works effectively if you’re stronger or possess a superior grade of kantar. Normally, yours would ignore the strength difference. But now? You’re no longer celestial. You have limits."
Hannah growled, speeding up her punches. But inside, she knew the truth. He was right. She was weaker. Once capable of slaying kaiju and demon lords with ease, she was now struggling against the weakest demon lord of a weak generation.
Frustrated and exhausted, she summoned one last attack — a massive sphere of destruction imbued with her technique. She hurled it at Dracula. Trees, stone, and earth were obliterated on contact. But when it reached Dracula… it simply vanished.
He stepped through the dissipating energy and, with blinding speed, appeared behind her. One swift kick to the back, and she hit the ground unconscious.
Standing over her, Dracula smirked.
"You impress me. If not for the difference in kantar grade, you would've won. I thought about turning you into one of my vampire minions... but you'd be too hard to control."
With that, he vanished into the forest, leaving her unconscious body behind.
