Chapter 3:
Ascension of the Void Monarch
The weight of the Abyss pressed harder. Ren’s breath grew shallow. He wasn’t sure if it was fear—or something else entirely.
Then—he saw it.
At the heart of the endless void, a throne.
Ancient. Cracked. Yet still pulsing with power.
It was massive, carved from obsidian-like stone, floating amidst the swirling darkness. Chains of violet energy coiled around it, sealing it away.
[Void Monarch System Alert.]
[First Throne of the Abyss Detected.]
Ren’s heart pounded.
A throne? Here?
Before he could move closer, something shifted.
A voice, deep and jagged like tearing metal, echoed through the void.
"Unworthy."
A monstrous figure emerged from the abyss.
It was nothing like the fiends he had fought before.
A Void Guardian.
Towering over him, its form was shrouded in tattered shadows, its body a fusion of skeletal armor and abyssal flame. Its eyes burned with violet fire, radiating sheer dominance.
Ren didn’t hesitate.
He charged.
The Guardian roared, swinging a massive blade of void energy.
Ren barely dodged. The force of the attack shattered the ground where he had stood, cracks spreading through the abyssal plane.
This thing wasn’t just strong. It was on an entirely different level.
His instincts screamed—he was going to die.
Then—
[Void Monarch System Override.]
[Monarch’s Right Activated.]
Power surged through him. His vision darkened.
And for the first time—he felt like he belonged here.
The Abyss itself answered his call.
