Chapter 1:

The boy with the feminine face

Foreverless

"Equality or Death. Your choice King"

In the middle of a bustling city there was a building of great size. The building was so tall that when looking up at it one may begin to feel dizzy. It is there where our story starts.

The sun sat up in the sky parallel to the ground. It looked down, and what it saw was two young boys. The two boys aged 17 and 19 stood atop the roof of the tallest structure in town. They knew not of life nor death, just instinct.

"Don't you just love the sun?" The first boy says. The second boy looked to the first boy who was standing in a bohemian manor. One leg in the off the ground and his arms spread out in the air, as if he was hugging it.

"I neither love it nor do I hate it. I have a completely neutral opinion on it, sir", the second boy respond.

"To neither love nor hate, what a way of acknowledgement", he said as he resumed a normal stance. He then went on to ask another question.

"Do you love the air?"

"I have a neutral opinion on it sir"

"and the dirt in which we plant our crops, what's your opinion on that?"

"The same as everything else", the second boy responds with a sense of familiarity. Questions of this nature were all to common with him.

"What a beautiful way to feel. I love that.  Though I don't feel the same." As he said that he looked at the second boy. As their eyes locked a shiver went down his spine.

"You see I either love or I hate. There is never an in-between. It's a horrid existence you know."

"I understand sir. I am sorry." he respond while bowing slightly to amplify his sincerity.

"Explain to me." he said. His gaze intensified and he was looking through him at something which no one else could see. "Explain why you neither love nor hate the sun".

"Well sir..." he began thinking very hard. "I think the sun is useful. It provides light and warmth, but it also burns and blinds. It grows our crops, but it evaporates our water. It is neither good nor evil so I neither love it nor hate it."

"So you hate what is bad and love what is good?"

"Something along those lines...sir." he respond unsure of whether he agreed or not.

"Do you love people?"

"People are good so, yes, I think I do sir.."

"What about the invalids? Do you hate them"

"Of course I do sir"

"I-", as he was speaking bells were heard. These bells indicated danger.

"We must go now your majesty", says a deep voice behind them. The voice belonged to Barnabee. Barnabee was their guard. He was a strong man and had many abilities unique to him that set him apart from the rest of the men in the royal army.

With that they ran down the stairs making their way towards an unknown destination then they came to a stop. A tall man of possibly 7 feet stood in front of them.

"For real?" the man said speaking to no one in particular.

"Lay down now and you will be spared" Barnabee said. As he said this the walls around them shook.

"So your Barnabee the Bull?", the man said, by the way he spoke you could tell he was one of them. An invalid.

"Barnabee the built." Barnabee repeated back with a hint of anger in his voice.

"oh" as the man said this he lunged forward. The castle walls shook violently for a moment and then stilled.

"What" Barnabee said questioningly.

"Your wondering why your gift isn't..well gifting?" the man said. Whilst he held back his laughter.  "that's my gift. to take"

The man moved his hand to behind him grabbing his ax. Barnabee reached for his sword and raised it. Just like that a duel had commenced. The two then engaged in combat both striking simultaneously. In a fraction of a second blood could be seen on the large man. And a fraction of a second later Barnabees head had hit the ground disconnected from the rest of his body.

"The problem with ya'll who have the stronger gifts is that you become to accustomed to it", the tall man said. The second boy reached inside his coat to grab a knife but before he could he was covered in blood.

It was of the mans. His left arm had exploded. He looked to his left and the prince was spewing blood out of his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. Both of them fell to the ground. The prince screamed not to dissimilar to that of a little girl. He screeched and screeched.

"Fix me now", he said in between screams and gasps. As he screamed the second boy put his hand on the prince's forehead. He pictured a human brain, a healthy one, a non healthy one. With that the blood stopped. The prince stood, and hit the second boy in the face.

"I treat you as an equal and you decide to do that", he spat on the younger boy. The curious boy of the rooftop had gone back into hiding. Hidden deep withing the shell of his body.

"I uh what's the problem" the second boy stammered, trying to wipe blood out of his eyes.

"You failed to protect me"

"Sir-" he started to say before being interrupted.

"AGHHHHHHHHHHHHh" the prince screamed in agony. Something shiny stuck out of his right forearm.

"Hiya!", said a voice which sounded like it belonged to a young boy whose voice had not deepened yet."Whatcha think your doin?"

Then the voice was attached to a figure. It was a womanly figure. Slim and toned. Clothed in a black jacket with fur. Little black horns stuck out of light brown hair which was roughly chin length. This person had shorts accompanied by knee pads. And the face was beautiful. Smooth and innocent. Large round eyes. The nose was small and unnoticeable. The mouth was also small. It began to open. The teeth were a pearly white. The face was entrancing and began to speak.

"So I'm gonna be the man that kills you both, is that okay?"
