Chapter 13:
reincarnated from loser to hero
Heiwama flew into battle, he wasn't confident in his chances of winning but he fought the beast of an orc anyway. Heiwama quickly noticed the orc didn't move like it should move, it fought like a coordinated soldier, jabbing with his spear and tricking Heiwama with fake moves. Heiwama found a counter quite fast however, he just had to fight him like he was not an orc, but a soldier this worked well and allowed Heiwama to get some good hits in when the orcs guard was lowered. He had gotten the orc low now, he was also thinking to himself how he had defeated an a+ rank monster when a controlled orc of around b was posing trouble against him, but he denied it for now and continued to attack the orc, then he noticed that the orc had been getting less and less accurate and he started to just swing around his spear like a regular orc, Heiwama realised just in time and jumped backwards, right in time as he dodged the ogre trying to slam into him he knew he was in trouble now as an ogre was a B rank monster and whe he was controlled by someone it would allow him to rise to even A rank he tried to run but he was met with a stone wall, created by a goblin mage with affinity in likely earth magic and now Heiwama was truely in danger, the ogre was b+ and he knew even though he had taken out an a+ monster he had only been able to do that because he had access to his only (extremely rare) weakness combined with his isekai skills Heiwama was at an advantage, but now it was different an ogre with coordinated attacks AND a mage that could block his path or trap him with magic. Heiwama tried his hardest to use his own earth magic on the wall but he had never been that proficient in it and so he failed, he was thinking of stuff to do when it hit him, FLIGHT! he immidiately started levitating which allowed him to create wind that would make a type of sandstorm rendering their view useless. then he started to shoot fire attacks at them, he knew water wouldnt do much in this situation so he just kept using fire and he managed to defeat the orc at the very least, unfortunately the goblin had locked himself in with earth and was literally blindly following orders from his master who was looking through the eyes of the ogre. Heiwama had leveled up luckily and he had gained 2 skills with it: novice sand magic and fire bullet, Heiwama saw his oppertunity and abused his fire bullet and sand storm to actually defeat the ogre! he was in shock especcially as he had gained 3 levels bringing him to level 18, he hadn't gained any knew skills however, the only thing that had changed was a power increase for fire bullet and his sand magic had increased to mid tier, Heiwama now proceeded to walk towards the box that the goblin had created, since he had defeated all the eyes and ears on this level of the dungeon the boss wouldn't be able to stop him any time soon, then he started to practice his earth magic and after a while he succeeded in breaking open the box if you didnt know, monsters dont gain skill levels like humans do, they dont improve by practice but by levels, every level that they gain equals to around 10 hours of practice with one skill, this monster was probally around level 3 as Heiwama had practiced earth magic for about 30 hours so far, he then slayed the goblin and made a decently sized box where he decided to rest for the day, he had defeated all monsters on this level of course.
