Late night thoughts

What would you do with a time machine? 

That used to be conversation starter in the old world. Now the common answer is just "Go eighty years before the fall of the old world so that I can live a comfortable life in the old world and prepare my grandchildren for the new world." 

A boring answer. I would go back to the time where Hitler was still in prion and kill him, strap the time machine to his corpse after taking his clothes and sent him with my modern clothes to somewhere in the new world. 

Then I would steal his identity and add a few tweaks of my own to Mein Kampf. Stuff like "As the superior race it is our solemn duty to guide the others to similar greatness" generally sweet talk the public, you gotta get the support of the general public before going militaristic. 

Don't kill the Jews, that was one of the H mans mistakes. Why get rid of so many potential workers? Where is the efficiency in that? You gotta put them to work in the factories along with the children and women. However, you gotta pay the factory workers a bonus. That bonus can easily be put right next to "Glücklicher Arbeiter, Guter Arbeiter", it was this whole project that gave workers vacation leave. 

You gotta include the Jews in that project too, you have to do that whole "uplift them from the dirt" and what not. After all, if they're really beneath us, it should be our duty to help them up, no? 

After you got the support of german people you go to austria and tell the Kansler to fuck off... with a lot of political papers. Germany took over Austria without any resistance since the austrian people were already sick with their Kansler and all the inflation. 

Even though you want to have as many allies as possible, Italy and Japan were picking fights you really didn't want to be involved with in that time period. Instead you should seek allied forces in the northern countries and don't invade Poland. 

Build trading treaties with France and the United Kingdoms because you really don't want to have the ammies as an enemy, those gun nuts are a pretty menacing powerhouse at that point in time. 

Next up, how to wage war on the russians. You thought we were gonna be a peaceful fascist ruler? The german march into Russia was the largest ground invasion in history with six million ground troops. 

But you can't just march in there, that's how Napoleon lost. You gotta starve them. Don't bomb the cities, bomb the farms instead. I'm pretty sure there are gasses that kill plants on large scale. 

And... I really should be sleeping instead of writing this. 

I went three days without sleep. 

Three days if I don't get any sleep tonight. 

What is so beautiful about the night sky? If I didn't know what a star is, what would I think those tiny lights in the sky are? We still know that stars are stars because astrology was a pretty big thing in the old world. 

But will parents teach their children about the stars in the new world. I mean, probably, right?

They will probably teach them how to find the north star at the tip of the little cart. How to find the little cart above the big cart. 

Why are they called carts anyways? We call them bears. Which is actually even less accurate. They look like spoons or weirdly shaped pots. Maybe even weird shovels. 

I always think how crazy it must seem to someone who was in a coma during the fall of the old world. I can only think of the flooded city. While they aren't exactly a faction, over the years a community has formed in those ruins of a pretty big city. 

It is a silent rule to bring all the medications or wounded medical professionals to the ruined city, or any city camp that is build around a hospital. They have freezers to preserve medications from the old world and solar panels for energy. I also think they're trying to make their own medication but I don't know how successful they are with it.

I wonder if they have fish there. I mean, fishes live in water, they have water. It just seems like an obvious thing to do to me, I would want a food source at the place where I live. I am one to talk, I live in a forest, I am surrounded by multiple food sources. 

A city camp usually is a good distance away from food sources unless the people of the city camp do their own farming I guess. Or if the city is constantly under attack from like ghouls and other creatures, they can just eat the creatures they killed while defending the city camp. 

Or they could be cannibals and be eating Hyenas. 

I really need to sleep.
