Chapter 7:

Ancient traveller

Fate

-----------------------------------------------------The Journey Begins--------------------------------------------------------

--The team, now separated from the cold stone walls of the Black Fortress, stepped onto the harsh, snow-covered lands of the North. The air was cold, each breath fogging up as it hung in the air. The wind constantly blew through the snow-covered mountains, brushing their faces with an increasing chill with every step. Lordhair moved forward, his gaze firm on the journey ahead, while the cartographer beside him carefully observed the surroundings.--

--The cartographer, a few steps behind, unfolded his map, reviewing the condition of the path. Over his dark brown sweater, he wore thick furs suitable for the cold northern conditions. Moving slowly, he began guiding the group.--

--“One thing to be cautious of on this journey,” he said, holding the map in his hands, “is the areas where the ice is thinnest. As we proceed, we’ll slowly approach the dark mountain passes. The night here is harsher on the body; it’s best not to spend the night outside.”--

--As the group continued through the sharp northern winds, they faced difficulties with each step. The snow obscured their tracks, growing thicker with every move. In the background, the "north wind," a frequent presence in these lands, howled as if it were carrying the spirits of a dark past.--

--The cartographer turned to the group, now beginning to share more information about the destination.--

--"As we approach the end of the journey, we must be more careful. The serpent-winged dragon possesses an ancient power. This creature guards not only this region but also all the magic within it. Defeating it is far beyond the capacity of an average warrior. But this mission offers us much more," the cartographer explained, closely examining the map.--

Lordhair turned to him, narrowing his eyes, and asked, "So, that dragon isn’t just a guardian? Does that mean it's impossible to pass it?"

--The cartographer slightly nodded and replied, "The dragon has transcended the role of a mere guardian. It’s powerful enough to transcend time itself. But one thing is clear: To surpass it, we’ll need not just our strength, but also our wits."--

--After hearing this explanation, Lordhair briefly smiled. In his mind, the pieces of the puzzle were falling into place. He wasn’t just a warrior; he was also a leader who could overcome any challenge with his intellect.--

--The environment around them had begun to grow more desolate and dark. The snow was thickening with every step, and the harshness of the cold became even more evident. As the wind howled alongside Lordhair’s long silhouette, his gaze shifted toward the dark mountain passes ahead. The plan he had formulated in his mind was becoming clearer with every passing minute.--

--After some time, the team finally began to approach their destination. The serpent-winged dragon had settled atop the dark mountain peak. Every movement of its wings created a wind so powerful that it swept the surrounding air into an ominous, oppressive atmosphere. Lordhair turned to his team and said, "Prepare yourselves. This creature isn’t just an obstacle; it is the most formidable foe we will face on this journey."--

--The dragon’s appearance had unexpectedly become terrifying. Its wings, wide as a storm, spread outwards, and its piercing gaze seemed to watch every step they took. The serpentine body of the creature was enormous, coiling around itself, threatening to encircle everything in its path.--

--Lordhair gripped his swords tightly, preparing to use his Purple spell. Violet flames rose from his hands, surrounding the air around him. His first strike would create an explosion directly aimed at the dragon. But not everything would go according to plan.--

--The dragon lunged forward quickly, testing Lordhair’s abilities with a Megadeath attack. Lordhair parried the strike with his swords, while simultaneously activating his Microeye to discern the dragon's weak points.--

--The battle intensified with every passing second. As Lordhair struggled to withstand the dragon’s power, he also meticulously planned each of his movements, guiding his team along the way. This was going to be a fight where, as a leader, he would need to use not only his strength but also his intellect.--

--As the darkness enveloped the surroundings, Lordhair pressed on, moving deeper into the shadows in search of the truth with a fierce determination. This journey would not only test the noble blood of the king but also the very spirit of Lordhair himself.--

--As Lordhair and his team continued their journey, they made their way along the dark foothills of the mountains. The cold wind struck their faces, and the snow-covered ground grew more treacherous with each step. As they moved through the darkness, a heavy silence surrounded them, with every step drawing them closer to an uncertain future.--

--The cartographer, holding an old scroll, pointed in a direction. "This way," he said. "This should be the region where the ancient artifacts are hidden. But getting this deep is going to be difficult. We need to be cautious."--

--Lordhair, keeping a close eye on his team, nodded slightly. "Yes, things are getting more dangerous. Be ready. This will be a test for us."--

--They pushed on for a while, until they entered a narrow pass where the snow and wind intensified, and the light around them dimmed further. As they advanced, very little was visible to their eyes. However, Lordhair, using his magical powers, kept moving forward. Activating his Microeye, the purple glow in his eyes allowed him to see everything clearly around him. Although he could see the weaknesses of himself and his team, nothing would slow them down.--

--The team reached an area covered in snow. Here, the ruins of a massive ice structure lay scattered across the region. Lordhair examined the area marked on the map by the cartographer, then decided to move towards the center of the region. "There’s something here," he said, his eyes filled with determination.--

--After hours of searching and exploring, they finally entered a large stone structure, hoping to find the ancient artifact they were seeking. But things were not as they had imagined. The stone walls were hollow, and everything had decayed, bearing the traces of a lost past. The team continued to search, worn and disappointed, but they couldn't find the artifact anywhere.--

--Lordhair took a deep breath and narrowed his eyes, studying his surroundings carefully. "These are just ghosts," he said. "They’re trying to block our way. But we must overcome this obstacle."--

--Just then, a massive shadow appeared. The winged serpent-like dragon rapidly approached them through the darkness. Lordhair tightened his grip on his swords and took a step back. "Be ready," he said. "The enemy is here."--

--The dragon roared terrifyingly. Its wings, nearly large enough to cover the sky, created a dark atmosphere with every movement. The team began preparing their spells. The cartographer, trying to focus his magic behind the team, struggled as the dragon’s power was so overwhelming that their spells barely had any effect.--

--Lordhair narrowed his eyes as he studied the dragon. "We all have to stand our ground against it," he said. "No matter what happens, we must win this fight."

--The dragon suddenly screamed and dove toward them. Lordhair immediately activated his Purple spell, surrounding his twin swords with purple flames. The flames spread around, targeting the dragon. The dragon quickly pulled back, but Lordhair’s magic was faster. The team used their spells one by one to resist the dragon. Meanwhile, Lordhair made precise strikes with his swords, while also activating his Microsteal ability to find the dragon’s weak spots.--

--The dragon suddenly made a rapid move toward Lordhair, but just in time, Lordhair unleashed his Megadeath attack, using his twin swords with immense force to slam the dragon to the ground. The combined power of the purple flames sliced the dragon in half. Its wings, body, and skin vanished in an explosion of light and darkness.--

--However, just as the dragon fell, something shot out from its massive body. With a tremendous explosion, an object resembling an ancient artifact emerged from within. Lordhair turned his attention to the object, his eyes focusing intently on it.--

--With its appearance, the atmosphere around him shifted. There was a faint glimmer of a power that once was unknown, now radiating in his gaze. This was not the end of a journey. But now, Lordhair began to understand that there was more to the artifact than it seemed. He could feel its power, but to truly comprehend what it was, further discovery was needed.--

--Lordhair carefully took the ancient artifact in his hand. It was immediately obvious that it was a shiny and ancient object. Gripping it tightly, he decided to experiment, trying to understand its purpose by testing different scenarios and thinking about various spells in his mind.--

--Suddenly, as soon as he held the object, something began to change. The artifact started emitting a strange glow, and it felt as though it were pulling his body in, like some sort of magnetic field. Lordhair's hands became glued to the artifact, and a force began to envelop him. The energy radiating from the object started to surround his body, and soon after, Lordhair found himself in a void, surrounded only by darkness.--

--He felt that he shouldn't be there, but his spirit was in a different reality at that moment. He took a deep breath, slowly opening his eyes to look around.--

--At that moment, a figure appeared in the void. A man, wearing an ancient wizard’s cloak, holding something resembling a clock in his hand, gazed at Lordhair with tired yet deep, knowledgeable eyes. The man, floating in a weightless manner like a silhouette in the air, began to speak to Lordhair:--

--“Welcome, new user. This is the ceremony of accepting the new user of the Ancient Traveler artifact. I am this artifact. By using me, you can transform yourself into a silhouette, like a dream... By visualizing the place you wish to go in your mind, you can leave your body within the artifact, and only with your soul, travel wherever you wish, much like astral projection.”--

"let's use it then"
