Chapter 4:
Salvatore´s School for villains
At the time somewhere else far away at a dark old warehouse…
A man was lying on his knees, his face sporting a bloody nose. “You children can´t do this to me.” “You are all going to pay…” “No, it’s you who must pay. Mr. Armin” A young girl walked around him. She had long blond hair and big blue eyes. Her voice sweet and young, truly she gave a refreshing feeling to her even dressed in a white expensive business suit, with a slim black tie. “You must pay the appropriated sum of thirteen million dollars and forty-four cents. As an adult it shouldn´t be that hard for you to pay our due. Correct.” She kept her eyes on a small agenda, barely seeing the wounded man.
The wounded man and the girl in the white suit were on the middle of an abandoned lot; but this bared field wasn´t empty and in front of them stood a long and elegant couch with two smaller couches with table’s right in front.
“That isn’t helping Cindy. This man knows his sin and thought himself untouchable, none the less. We going to have to wake him up for real know. “On a small couch a young black man interrupted the girl in the white suit. He was wearing a white suit as well, but also a long black scarf that covered most of his face; one could see a breathing device below it, a respiration mask of sorts, his black hair was long and well-kept below a crocket white hat, all of that combined hid a lot of his face.
“Mr. Johnson I disagree, I believe everyone deserves a second opportunity to make themselves of use.” Jonson released a thick black smoke from his mouth. “Thrash should just be incinerated.” “Yes, yes, but first let’s assure ourselves if this man is truly just garbage.” She waved him off, while still smiling.
“When my boss finds out about this, you all… “The angry pleads of the wounded man were interrupted by an exciting clapping.
“Hehehe, oh man, I like you lot. All pride and shit even on your very knees My name is Tony Beretta and you became aan eyesore for my family, get it.”
On the long sofa a man clapped, a smirk on his handsome face. He had quite a visage, the young man of slightly reddish skin and was quite the well-dressed youth as well.
Adorned with a white suit with a golden dollar sign on his chest and a white hat with a red feathers over his short black hair kept in place with a ton of gel. He had a big smile, but one of his eyes was slightly crocked, and yet he´s features were handsome enough to compensate, his skin flawless and pristine.
The young godfather of the family was only paying half attention to his captive as he sat with a girl under his shoulder and couldn´t help, but to play with her hair.
“I like him, but he´s no good for business. ¿What should we even do Joahn?”
The girl at his side seemed quite bored with the whole ordeal. She was tall and skinny and was wearing a black suit with a white tie, unlike the rest of them. Her skin was pale; giving more attention to the black eyeliner on her eyes and her red lipstick, her hair long and blond and had an unnatural black streak at it´s right side.
“Just get it done. The Caglianni´s are but weaklings. There is no way for them to hit us for real. Fools, they simply haven’t accepted this island has no more place for common old thugs….really, they aren´t even worth having as enemies.” The woman said as she moved his hand out of her hair.
“Don´t be so mean to the old man. They´re trying so hard. It´s not their fault the world needs them no more. My Bella.”
“They should at least not be an annoyance; threatening me, the nerve. When they have no strength of their own.” She didn´t spoke with disdain more than anything she looked bored.
“Oh you are all sulky todat. ¿Want me to get your mood up?” She stopped him from kissing her lips, with her gloved finger by placing it firmly on his lip.
“Business first then pleasure, just close the deal already.”
“All work no play, as you say my Bella. Tony Beretta rose from the couch with his smile unchanged and bended his knees to see the tied man face to face.
“She´s pissed. And it’s all your fault, little man.” The man tried to look away so Tony grabbed him by the hair and forced his head upwards.
“Attacking my girlfriend to get to me… Good ideaaa poor executionnnn.” Tony smiled a calm tone to his voice, that grew hoarse as he stretched some of his words. The man gave him back a murderous gaze. “I forgot she was one of those monsters. ¡You so called villains, are just aberrations!” “No,no,no,no” Tony shacked the man’s head as if making him deny himself. “The problem is that you bore her. She hates being underestimated, and so do I. The fact that only your nose is broken shows how little she cares.”
“¡Just get on with it!” The man screamed at him and Tony crocked his right eye. “¿Get on with what?” Tony seemed genuinely curious as he let his head be free.
“¡Torture me if you want I won´t say a word! ¡So kill me already!” The man screamed in fury. “HahaHaha, oh man.” Tony began to laugh in a friendly manner. “You got guts, I like ya and unlike my girl I can appreciate the common folk; after all I’m one of you guys. No powers no nothing” Tony tapped the man’s cheeks lightly. “It´s a useless effort thought, there is no use in torturing. You are just a low workerrr; the dudes in the fancy offices wouldn’t tell you much to begin with and about you dying…well.” He let go of the man and rose to his feet. “There is no point, the death don´t pay up.” Tony put his elegant white shoe on the man´s face.
“The issues is that you guys are on our debt, see. And since you won´t cooperate I´ll have to change our contract a bit.” The man remained in silence looking at him with a glint of fury in his eyes. “Since you guys aren’t doing your side of the deal I went to do some business elsewhere. Do you know of the fish restaurant of “Franco´s bay”, yes?” The man now looked at him with a clear and sudden fear. “¡I don´t know of it!”
“Really now, the place has been suddenly suffering in getting must of their ingredients which in turn has let fall in clients, so they ended up needing a loan.”
The man turned pale. “It’s your fault… you are the one who bought the market.” He told him from his knees trying to look at the man above him to his eyes.
“That´s a whole different deal, yes. Thing isss… they have no choice, but to see now that I´m always buying, their little restaurant could be a little side dish from mine. You can never own too much stuff, my friend. Same goes for people.”
“¡They have nothing to do with this!”
“Yes how weird, you told them nothing of your nifty little gig, guess they too didn´t tell you a thing. That´s not how family behaves and that made you weak, you weren´t united enough so there was no way to protect your old folks now.” Tony turned back to sit in front of him. “They sweet your papa and mama, but money still money. “ Tony poked the man in his forehead. “I´m gonna make them starve and test if you care enough to risk your pockets for family…. I´ll keep piling up the debt till their whole business it´s sinking for real.”
“¡We are gonna murder you before you do a thing!” Tony crocked his right eye making a disservice to his handsome face; the entire right side of his face seemed to raise in an angry expression, that was the face the other man made him show.
“What thugs, it’s your kin that weird.” Tony grabbed his head and crashed it on the ground. “Kid that whole macho nonsense isn’t gonna put any food on your mouth.” Tony raised his head, to look at the vacant eyes of the wounded man. “I want to take you for all the green you´re worth. It´s money kiddo, the pure value of your little life… So if your pals can make us both richer, all is well, all is forgiven.” The man spit blood and Tony smile at him taping his bloody check tenderly. “Tell the good word to your boss.” Tony released his head leaving the man lying on the ground.
“Got it, ¿yes?” Tony smiled kindly, as two men dragged that pale man away and simply waved him goodbye.
“If so let´s do business again…”
***
“The Beretta family would hate to be called villains as they consider themselves criminals using this school just as one more stepping stone, so regardless your standing if you bother their business they´ll burn or at least leave you penniless forever a faith they consider worse than death.” The informer kept speaking. Irvin coughed.
“Tony Beretta, so he modeled himself after a mafia of sort, rather eager to work for a student.” The whisperer giggled at Irvin´s words.
“The Beretta stick to their territory often they don´t of the get on the usual chaos around so I don´t know much about them, they look like huge sticks on the mud for me.” Dino leaned against the wall.
“Even so they do not own this island and mostly keep to the eastern business district, the is another powerful darkness not even the teachers can contain to the west, a certain heiress of another kind who lead a group that truly embodies the chaos of our island, this society in the shadows are called….”
“The league of villainous ladies, if you will.”
***
Within the residential street on the east, among a multitude of abandoned houses and buildings on the middle of construction a man was running in desperation.
“No,no,no.”
A man walked through an empty alley, sweating nervously. His eyes wandered, seeing shadows crawling to him nearer and nearer. “Why are you doing this?”
“hihihi, you made one too many jokes. So give some fun.”
“¡Get out of my head!” He ran faster and faster feeling something creep at his back but his road ended when the alley closed in front of him. It was twisting itself, the very wall swirling into each other on the middle cutting off his one escape. “Too much running must be tiring. So just take a seat”
The man run away from that incomprehensible sight, just to have his arms grabbed and twisted violently behind his back. He screamed as falling to his knees, as he felt cold hands scratching all over his body. Moving shadows that were faking the shape of arms grew form the walls and dragged him backwards into the dark alley.
From the dark corners of his eyes the man could see something rise behind him. A black throne built of black thick muck. Shadowy figures adorned it´s sides, ghoulish things that singed in a peaceful lullaby. It was their hands that dragged the man to its unwelcome sit. “¡I’m sorry, just let me go!” “Please take a sit.” The man was submitted down along with his struggle on to the throne. Like water it surrounded him.
Cold hands strapped his head back, opening his mouth and the shadows slipped thought his tongue inside him.
“Have a taste of it, our power. You know you want it too. Little mouse.” His eyes when white as the thick substance entered his body. And then he saw it. He finally saw.”
“¡Aaaahhhhhhh!” The man screamed to the top of his lungs, as he could once more breathe.” He was still strapped down, but not to a chair he was strapped to something upon the ground.
“Wakey, wakey.”
His arms and legs strapped to the metal rails of a train track, allowing only his neck to move and all he could stare was the blue sky above. The man could have sworn it had been night time just a second ago so his position now made it hard for him to believe his eyes.”
“What happened, what was…” The man seemed to forget something; his man was now a blank.
“A pity, but there is nothing more you can do for us, it was all rather fun you struggled decently enough.” He felt a rough trike at the side of his head.
“You look for her and so you found her. Now stare at the might that is Miriam Dastarly of the Dastarly family.” A girl walked behind his head and as he looked up straight to her eyes, a short Caucasian woman with an eccentric visage. She wore a black ladies hat that hided her short brown bob cut hair, her face was round and her smile wide an cherry just like her black eyes that glowed in happiness. She wore a black formal vest and a long black skirt, a black cape falling behind her, but not a particular elegant one, but a cheap one with glitter that made her resembles a magician. She moved a staff which top resembled a goat´s head and aimed it to the man´s face.
“Here in the flesh,is the witch of Dastarly´s fame. So have at it. ¿What have you to say?” The girl spoke.
“¿How could you know? ¿How?” The man seemed so afraid he couldn´t react any more, he was limp and as tired as if he´s whole live had passed him by.
“Stealing from the Dastarly, such nerve. To take the gem of the Dutchmans rage a heirloom counting three hundred and twenty four years of old from us, it’s a nice trinket, but the truth my dear is that it had no real magic to it.
“You won´t get it back.”
“Don´t care. That thing was rubbish. So tell your client our power comes from something deeper and stranger yet than any cursed reliq.” The man looked at the sky resentfully accepting his face, but Miriam´s leaned forward her face blocked his view of the skies with her huge smile.
“Stealing is nice, but torture and murder is even nicer…. Oh ¿who? ¿Who was it that sends you on this fate, sir? You should curse them.”
“I will not talk. It is the will of the old ones” She pouted, her puffy checks inflating at his answer.
“Oh great cultist, again. Well they probably won´t come for you. You guys are such squares serving the unknown and macabre is no fun anymore; dominating it, now that´s the real deal.”
“¡Your whole house has filled in decadence. You are no witch and the cabals are hungry!” The man´s voice changed into the howls of a beast, he´s eyes turned black and black spit fell from his mouth.
“Geez don´t go all possessed on me.” She hit him in the stomach with the top of the cane and white light surrounded his whole body. The man´s eyes went completely white and then, he simply stopped moving.
“Listen lad. I don´t care much for your backwards cabals that´s my Ma´s problem. “She got her staff up and began to spin it in a display of grace. “Besides, before being a witch. “She tilted her torso so she could see the man´s empty eyes. “I´m a villain”
The man´s consciousness began to return. All he could recognize was her creepy smile.
“I can´t feel my power. ¿What did you do? The man barely manages to say.”
“I devour it, but don’t worry, I already had my fill. So I won´t devour your mind today. I rather have fun another way. “She spoke with a chirpy tune still playing with her staff till she leaned down and put her hand at the side of his ear. “Can you hear it come?” she whispered tenderly.
“You will not be safe, even here in the middle of nowhere.” His eyes recovered their color and his expression turned into furious anger.
“Shh listen, and listen well. ¿Or have you not even notice what your resting place is?”
The man finally realized that ground was shaking and finally tried to move his neck and see that he was trapped on the rails of a train. And it was coming closer and closer.
“¡Did you seriously strap me to a train track!”
“¡Yes isn’t it great I have always wanted to do this. It’s such a classic, a fine show of villainy and nastiness! Oh how I love it. Just a helpless gentleman screaming for aid, the train speeding up unaware of their complicity in…¡Murder!. I love such clichés.” The man panicked, but he was also terribly confused. The girl seemed excitedly happy as she spoke fast and vastly, holding her cane on hands as if hugging it.
“¡How can you kill someone like this and dare to call o yourself a witch!” Her exciting deflated at his words. She scoffed while holding her staff tightly.
“It won´t matter anymore, beside you were of no use to me at the end. ¡Anyhow here the train comes!” He finally saw it a machine shaking the ground in the distance. It roared and the man screamed trying to summon his powers in vain.
“But it´s not the name Dastarly that people have grown to fear. She has made her own kingdom to her needs; a society prideful in the “virtues” of villainy.” The whisperer said.
“Oh, seeing a gentlemen’s struggle, it’s always a pleasure. Know that it is not the Dastarly cabal that´s putting you down.” She spine her cane as she twirled the tip of her hair with her fingers.
“This is the League of villainous ladies a rather exclusive society that has spread its roots to every corner of the island.” Miriam threw her staff over her head to grab it once more behind her neck.
“The leagues of villainous ladies are your killers. Remember that as you die. ¡Curse our glorious name! Oh man I love this. hihihihihihihihihihihihihihi” She was overwhelm by the pure joy of It all as she jumped out of the rail tracks. The man screamed with all of his strength but she hears him not by the loud sound of the train.
“To see as all that anger disappear; It´s always such a joy. She kept walking to never see her victim again, but she stopped tapping her feet when she felt someone approaching her fun.
“You are even more hyper than I had heard.” Another woman called out for Miss Dastarly and she spun in place to welcome her.
A blond girl clad in a black gothic dress, adorned with ribbons in a very cute way. It was another new student that had come, a girl enough to challenge a teacher´s words.
“Hihihi well of course I am. I got to put someone on a trail track and got away with it, there isn’t anything more villainous than that. Our predecessors of villainy would be proud. I even tried out my new evil laugh.” She spin to meet the other girl and welcome her by take it off her hat and giving out a bow.
“¡Nice to see you! Noretta Nyarloth, and thank you for coming.” The blond girl smiled warmly at the mention of her name.
“Like wise. I must say you´re different than what I had imagined. I thought you´ll be an uglier kind of witch.”
“I wish, but I got my dad´s looks, but even if I don´t have a crocked nose or a twirling mustache. ¡My heart as bleak as can be and that is what truly matters!” Noretta laughed at her answer while covering her mouth.
“You´re so silly… I´m also quite surprise you knew my name.”
“Anyone who knows of the dark art´s would, the lurking terror it’s quite a rarity. So tell me then.” Miriam Dastarly spread her arms in a welcoming gesture. “A rarity I’ll love on my side, how about it. ¿Would you join our fine club? ¡Just think of all the fun we can have together!” Noretta reached her hand for a handshake to the woman in blak, meeting her excitement with her own calmness.
“I would love too. I just hope you can handle me as I have… rather peculiar taste.”
“I was hoping to hear that. ¡For fun´s sake nothing is too vile my lovely!”
“Hmmm. It’s a deal then.” Miriam Dastarly shook her hand with both arms; moving it up and down excitingly.
“We goanna have so much fun. ¡The whole school is going to shake! Let go then I´ll show you to our magnificent club house!” She switched gears and walked ahead by guiding with her staff onwards, Noretta covered her mouth.
“Weird girl…. ¿What did she said before, thought? There are no trains on this island as far I know?” She shrugged off the thought with a smile. Before finally following the dancing woman in black.
***
“A witch from a long bloodline, belonging to the most powerful cabal in all of human history a shadow that has twisted the course of history for generations and its latest incarnation that now lives among us students, she is almost like a virus spreading a darkness upon the unseen corners of Isla Franca.” The wisperer took an ominous tone with her words and both Irvin and Dino looked anxious.
“There is never anything to be earned by involving yourself with magic and Ms. Dastarly doesn´t seem any more reasonable.”
“That society is more like a rumour as far as I knew, but if even half the stuff people say about those ladies are true, we will end up dragged straight to hell if we even go around mentioning their name.”
“The league of villainous ladies might be small, but they have control of the known and unknown and let nothing in this earth deny their fun and that is what moves them, their lider a heiress of a powerful witch and all of her actions are cloaked upon the shadows, but if you ask me all that woman does is for the fun of villainy itself.”
“It seems she is the sort of woman that makes everyone dance to her tune without them even knowing it, she is the worst sort of person for me to deal with.” Irvin fixes his tie.
“Now Mr. Maximillian Money may be power itself in this world, and the puppet masters may still reign from within their lovely shade, that is not all that made this island into a nest of obscenity that Isla Franca is now.” The whisperer carried her tale.
“After all if there is something that resonates within all of us villains; it´s not just money or the power to control others.”
“It’s violence itself.” The whisperer carried on kicking her feet as she enjoyed the attention.
“There is one group that can surpass even white hounds in violence and strenght, a gang of rebells that raise their flags agains Salvatore, the Scorched Black sun.”
***
At the middle of a grand dump site on the industrial districts of Isla franca two men exchanged fists among the trash. They both took each other fists to the face, but only one man collapsed on the grey heaps, there was a gloom atmosphere as the sun couldn´t reach the old scrapyard due to the clouds of black smog above.
“Ahh didn´t feel a thing. “¿Who is next?” A man wearing a white suit with an open pink summer shirt was taunting, he was a young Caucasian man with a blond hair arranged in pompadour and thick golden sideburns, he seemed to grin at the group of people that began to surround him.
“You people really just want to be a pile of corpse’s ¿EH? ¡Well your friend Rocky is gonna deliver! ¡So lay down with the trash!” The blond man jumped to towards the group of thugs all armed with pipes and knives, a tattooed man at the center of them opened fire with a gun. The blond man screaming in anger and the sound of voice resonated through the whole scrapyard with enough intensity to force the gunman to misfire from the pain on his timbers and in that split second the blond man reached him with his fist. The man stumbled back, but what concerned him now was his bleeding ear.
“¿What´s the matter can´t handle Rocky´s howl?” Rocky the blond man charged at him with his fist again. “¡How about Rocky Howards fist!” With another strike the man was knocked sprinting blood all over Rocky´s white suit. The other man attacked and Rocky screamed again, sending a powerful shockwave that forced them backwards.
“You normies should just cut your losses and beat it.” Rocky tuned around for a second and waved at the distance with a smile, not seeing a man rushing behind him with a knife, but before he reached the blond man an arrow pierced him on the chest and he fell down without Rocky even seeing him.
A girl saw him from away knowing he was waving at her. She showed no reaction as she lowered her binoculars to arrange a bow she had upon her shoulder.
“Aoi-sama it seems Rocky-kun it’s clowning around once more.”
A man was sitting with his legs crossed behind the girl. A strange man wearing a completely white rounded mask with only the eye sockets being visible, he wore no shirt, just a gray pair of baggy pants. His complexion was terribly skinny, but with clear muscle to it and elaborated tattoos covering every inch of his revealed skin, his hair was black and long reaching all the way to his back.
“¿These men are easy prey so I´ll let him wave his tail a little. ¿How about you, It’s just part done, Noh-san?” The woman said.
She was quite tall with long black hair tucked into an elegant pony tail; she had red hakama pants, and a white shirt that was tucked loosely, but with a clear modern armored vest above it, at her waist on both the right and the left there were a quiver of arrows all with a different color at their tips and to go with them a steel bow strapped over her shoulder. She displayed her weapons in threat, but her pose was calm and serene.
“Our role in this play was done with pride. Their reinforcement, breathed the last sweet blessed breath of air, they are no more now and so we offer a prayer for their unfulfilled dreams” Noh raised his skinny arm towards the skies painted with gray clouds.
“¿I got it, I think? Thank you very much.” She spoke coldly and the masked man just stretched in his place, dislocating his back as far as he could. Truly he had great flexibility.
“¿What more plans you have my lady? ¿Or is your role in this play done for as well?
“It very well could be, all that is left now it´s up to my brother.”- She averted her eyes from the fight that was ending, as many man crashed with each other upon the scrapyard bleeding on its dry soil.
“You sound sad, dear lady.” Noh asked her as he raised his body with the strength of a single arm, helping himself slightly above the ground for simple practice.
“This is of no of use. But I wish I could have thought of a better solution, but at the end of the evening brother doesn´t need of my plans not as long as his strength is beyond my understanding.”
“Yes, he is our beautiful sun. But you too are our dear moon, Aoi-san”
“¿You say I have no light of my own?” She asked without turning her eyes from the conflict ahead.
“I like that answer, we are to write it down. Such wise word from our so bitter princess shall not be forgotten. The man took his hand off the ground and quickly held himself with his other arm.
“Put a sock on it, Noh-san.”
A sudden crash was heard all over the scrapyard and Aoi ignored Noh completely to look for it, and she finally found him. Lying on a crater made by that sudden impact was a gigantic monster of a man. It was their enemy, the leader of the grey crocs a man with sharp animal teeth and thick scales for flesh. The results of science gone rogue, but his life had remained the same as it always did nothing but violent fights upon the streets tall and deformed, but still human. His teeth like those of a monster splitting his face, but his frightening form was now bathed in his own blood. Even so he was rising from his back, opening his gapping mouth
“Amazing he´s getting up even after being hit by brother.” Aoi spoke bitting her lip.
“Good, otherwise I´ll be another dull act. ¿May the main character finally enter the stage? ¿Will he show us his burning wraith?” The Noh rose to his feet behind her.
“Don´t say that, you´ll make brother´s head grow get even bigger.”
Another crash made the earth quake as a man had landed in front of the grey mutant. He was a mountain of his own; immense enough that he dwarfed the monster under his own height and mass.
“Haha… good punch. ¿Now how about my punch Mr. Croc? ¿How did my punch feel?”- He was no common student wearing a pair of sunglasses and sporting a halve-shaved bear. Black hair combed upwards like a pike with both sides of his head completely shaved.
The Japanese man had a muscular body worthy of a sculpture. He had no shirt on, showing his abs and the tattoo of a sun upon his chest; He wore a huge coat over his shoulders, almost like a cape, elegant pattern of black flames adorned it. Black leather pants and broken down shoes. But his most extravagant accessory was huge iron spiked ball that dragged behind him by a chain in his hand; in only one hand.
“You are just a worthless human…” The crocodile man spitted blood again, as he tried to hold inside the engulfing pain.
“I was getting nervous that my fist got flimsy. ¿How about we keep getting rougher? Don´t get shy now. You and I can share our fist and even more if you want. ¿How about you become one of Kojiro Adachi´s many friends? Be my pal, the strongest have to be at each other side and you´re strong for sure, snake man.” –He had a rough voice but tried to make it sound welcoming to no avail. Even so the giant man with sunglasses stretched both arms, gesturing a hug.
“Swear loyalty to the scorching sun and bath in our warm fire.” From afar her sister Aoi clinched her teeth at this.
“The hell is that moron thinking. There is nothing to be gained from that fool of a crocodile.”
“He is just impressed. Kojiro-san is a romantic for the boiling passion of a fight.” Noh said with a delighted sight.
“Oh that again… I really hate you men.”
“¡You creep!” The crocodile took his words an insult and jumped straight at his chest. Blood spread as he cut his chest, but Adachi grabbed his arm with both of his heavy arms.
“Ohhh. You´re an eager one aren´t you, crocodile-san.”
Kojiro raised the mutant over his shoulder by twisting his arm and then throwed him over his shoulders letting him fall to his back with a tremendous crash.
“We’ll have it your way, one cracked bone at the time.” Kojiro walked without looking back at his opponent that was twisting upon the ground. The iron weight and chain we´re rose with ease as Kojiro began to spin them in the air, a huge smile upon his face.
“Only those who call themselves my brothers get to stand up straight.” The giant man declared an in an instant moved with a grace none had expected, the huge iron ball followed him like a dance as he jumped above his enemy. The sphere crashed on top of the mutants back breaking it without mercy.
“Brother has the matter being settled.” Her sister appeared a above a pile of scrap, the masked man Noh sit at the side of her feet.
“Sure it was, although not like I hoped it would. It got messier.” Kojiro scratched his beard with an apologetic smile.
“Brother, you have covered yourself in blood.” He took his hand from his face finally realizing it.
“Yeah, that happens.”
“¿Did you really intended to make the croc and his people join us? They do not share our goal, brother.” Aoi showed no hesitation by standing right in front of him stopping his march.
“Don´t be such a stiff sis, if you let them I’m sure even they could want to rise our new sun, or could have, the deal never came through.”
“What could even make you said that brother.”
“Just my heart, I could feel the bitterness they held; the anger in their eyes, it was like ours sister. Like our fury.”
“Emotions before logic, it’s always the same with you brother.” Kojiro laughed at her in amusement.
“It’s not the same for you, and I get that…But we are in this island so our emotions will finally be heard… ¡this feeling will reach the very top of this world you´ll see!” As he spoke his smile turned into a furious grin and his skin turned red in sheer anger.
“¡I´ll blast through everything till Salvatore himself will quake at our screams!”- Aoi looked at the sunglasses his brother wore unable to see his eyes. She remained still; as her brother seemed to wait for an answer, any answer.
“I´ll get you there as I have sworn, but you better listen to me a little more, ok little brother.”Kojiro Adachi fixed his sun glasses, smiling again at her answer. He kept walking, a bloody trail at his back. Her sister stared at his broad back and the black flames of engraved on it.
“¿How sweet can family be?”
Noh told her appearing out of nowhere behind her, but she just ignored him and walked towards her brother. The masked man just remained in the pile of scrap where he now sat.
“¿Where is everyone? The blond young man arrived, his clothes now red with blood, but he only found the lonely masked man.
“Searching still for their new sun…” The Noh said.
“Fuck that they left me behind again… ¡Aneki, Aneki hold on!” Rocky ran after them as well, leaving Noh standing in silence. Finally the masked man jumped from the scrap and walked the bloodied path not towards Kojiro and Aoi, but to the corpse of the dead mutated man and began to trace his gray skin tenderly, almost lovingly.
“They can all keep worrying of their destination while I keep enjoying the path the leave behind and all the fruit it bears.” Whit his skinny bony finger he raised the white mask freeing a monstrous mouth underneath it were hundreds of long sharp teeth opened as he got closer towards the corpse.
“It’s a fine harvest for a man to ripe.”
“The scorching sun is on the rise upon the grey skies for the industrial district and many have claim the they will turn to ash even Salvatore himself, after all Kojiro Adachi could very well be the strongest man in the world.”
“¿So what do you think? ¿You still want to know more? ¿Would you dare?”
Irvin stood still scratching his chin.
“¿Dino you knew of this people?”
“Just enough to stay out of their way, those guys are the real deal and their boss is wild as a beast.” Dino keep his eyes on the alley entrance worry that just talking about those people will summon them here.
“I see. I hope I’m not supposed to pay much for that little piece of trivia, Miss ¿Whisperer? Hmm maybe I should consider an alias for myself as well.”
“¡Do it, they are pretty cool! And nope that one was a freebie. So if you want more you pay the bill whitey.” She inclined in the trashcan she was sitting on. Kicking the air with her feet.
“I have just a question and any info related to it will be appreciated miss.”
“K, just spit it out already.”
“So well… ¿How can I make one of them work for me?” The whisper began to laugh as she jumped to stand still on the ground. Irvin remained completely serene to her reaction.
“You´re are a riot. I’m gonna have fun learning from you. This will cost you good and I will need another piece of info from you.” “¿Deal? ” Irvin fixed his tie.
“Deal”
“Well then one little question for you. Don´t try to lie, because I will know it soon enough.” Irvin remained stoic like a stone.
“¿How is it that you aren´t dead?” Dino turned back when he heard this. He had kept himself from asking merely assuming it was part of a scheme.
“Because a hero saved me.” The girl with the paper bag mask joined her palms and giggled.
“Just as I thought. I will tell you what you want to know. Just don´t blame me if it’s not what you needed to know.”
