Chapter 0:
The Dimension where I met...
In the year 2034 mankind produced the ability to travel through dimensions.
They communicated with the leaders of the people from the dimension, we call those people Demi’s.
Now one year later the government had an idea for a certain school to coexist with the Demi’s.
That takes us to the beginning of my 4th year of highschool.
The Demi’s kept there distance for the open ceremony as I made my way to school. Who can blame them? After all, we're different.
The Demi's aren't just regular humans, they each have an animalistic feature that being either their huge tail or sharp teeth.
Alot of humans from our world are afraid of the Demi’s for this reason in particular.
Maybe one day we'll learn to not judge eachother for our differences, but that's just dribble drabble.
As I entered the hall there was a line in the middle of the chairs that were placed in a row. I'm guessing the right side is for the Demi’s, and the left is for us.
I went ahead and sat down in the middle of the left row, a few minutes went by and there's already whispers.
What could be heard was “gross to think we have to share the same room as the Demi’s.” and “All they do is judge us for our appearance.”
Of course both sides had the same equal all of whispers, but when they're whispering it's as if they want us to hear. Finally the principal came up to the stage, she'd calm everyone down.
“Okay, okay settle down. I know this is gonna be new for everyone and me included. Now let's get down to business.
You're probably confused on how the classes will work so let me tell you.
There will be 6 classes in total, 3 in this dimension and the other in the Demi's dimension.
How you'll be doing that is of course using the Gate to get from one place to another. This also means that the two dimensions will be taking classes together.”
Whispers from both sides of the auditorium could be heard from what the principal had just said.
I'm very sure those whispers aren't good ones either. Humans are one thing but Demi’s as well, I don't think this school year is gonna be the most relaxed.
The principals yapping was making me tired so I took a peek at the Demi's side of the auditorium and saw a long blue haired girl.
She had the Demi’s uniform so she must be one of them, however the side of her body from what I could see looked mesmerizing to say the least.
She had a horn in the middle of her forehead “is she an oni or something?” I thought to myself. I must've been staring for too long cause she stared back at me.
Our eyes met. I wanted to look away but another side of me wanted to keep staring.
She'd look at me with a disgusted look on her face before looking back at the principal.
“What's her problem…?”
A blonde headed tall boy that sat behind me on the last row of chairs leaned in against the side of me.
“Yikes, what did you do to make her mad?”
“Honestly I could not tell you. Do you know her or something?”
“I've heard a few rumors on the way here, apparently she was the most popular girl in their dimension.”
A teacher started looking at us as if we were doing something all of a sudden.
“Yikes better lay low for now, hope you get that situated”
I nodded to him and soon the assembly ended
It was almost time for the first class. As I was walking towards the handouts of the classes, I was met with scornful looks from the Demi's.
Why can't you look at someone else?
I don't get what's the problem about what race you are. So what if they're from another dimension, doesn't that just make them even more interesting?
Anyways after I made a turn there was a big *thonk* sound.
“Oh I'm sorry are you o-”
“Sorry I was in a hurry- oh wait it's just you.”
As I got a better look at who I bumped into, I noticed Long silky blue hair. The horn on her head that is intriguing to look at.
Sure enough it was the same girl that was in the auditorium giving me the same look.
Her looks are nice, but that personality on the other hand is just rude.
I extended my hand trying to help her get up, however she gave me a confused look.
Maybe Demi’s aren't accustomed?
“I can get up by myself thank you.”
this girl is so goddamn rude
I pulled back my hand as I watched her get up.
As I was trying to leave she asked something.
“Why are you acting as if I'm not a demi?”
Turning my head back I gave her my full attention.
“Why should it matter what race someone is? Shouldn't we be more interested in what they are?”
The girl seemed surprised by my statement, maybe it's cause it's really hot outside but I could even see the sweat on her face.
“So does that mean you aren't scared of my horn?”
“Dinosaurs have horns, isn't that the same thing?”
“W-wait what's a dinosaur?”
“...Wait, you don't know?”
“Not a clue…”
There was a moment of silence.
“You know what let me use a different example. Why should I be scared of my own classmates? Since we're gonna be seeing eachother everyday there's no point in pointing fingers.”
She gave a soft smile extending her hand.
“What's your name?”
“My names Xander, what's yours?”
Extending my hand we'd shake hands.
“My names Lonai.”
That was the first meeting with a Demi I ever had, as well as the most important one. If only I would've known how bad things would get from this meeting from this point onwards.
