Chapter 22 - The End of Rosebell

Around a month after Figura assassinates King Clovis, a tremor hits Rosebell with tremendous power, damaging several old houses.

Following this large earthquake, no more tremors occur, which is good news. If they had continued to increase exponentially, Rosebell’s beautiful architecture would have been leveled to the ground.

The morning after the great earthquake, the Silas Family decides to finalize their investigation on the world’s conditions as soon as possible. They depart for a week, planning to journey to island countries and visit the Second and Third Circles of the Labyrinth for a massive information hunt.

Meanwhile, Leader and I stay in Rosebell, hoping to finally purchase the last supply of Pink Amber to cure Omine completely. The savings amassed over time in the Omine Family’s bank account are considerable, and we now have enough money to purchase Pink Amber of the highest quality by the end of this week.

It’s a momentous and joyous celebration for the Family. Leader, Conrad, and I party with everyone at the Children’s Village. Omine is in high spirits and sings her lullaby, our little brothers and sisters dancing with their crimson scarves. Even Leader’s parents are here, everyone sharing this giant feast together.

It’s a beautiful scene reminiscent of three years ago when Omine was in full health. The royal festivities do not compare. After purchasing the last Pink Amber, this wonderful scene will surely be protected for years to come.
