Chapter 2:

His property.

MASTER'S BELOVED WITCH

As the man's voice echoed through the room, everyone's eyes snapped towards him. He stood tall, his imposing figure commanding attention. His black cloak cascaded down his broad shoulders, accentuating his chiseled physique. But it was his face that held everyone's gaze. A dark silver mask covered most of his features, leaving only his piercing deep red eyes visible. Those eyes sparkled like rubies in the dim light, sending a shiver down the spines of the onlookers.

People's thoughts raced as they took in the man's appearance. "A pure-blooded vampire," they whispered to each other. "Only they have eyes like that." They couldn't help but feel a mix of awe and trepidation. Who was this mysterious figure, and why was he interested in buying the useless witch?

The witch herself looked at the man with a mixture of curiosity and detachment. For years, she had been paraded on the auction block, only to be rejected time and time again. She had grown numb to the process, no longer bothering to hope or fear. But there was something about this man that caught her attention. Maybe it was the way he carried himself with confidence, or the way his eyes seemed to bore into her soul.

She wondered if he was new to the slave market, unaware of her... limitations. Why else would he want to buy her? She thought about the countless times she had been rejected, the endless nights spent in the dark dungeon. And yet, this man seemed willing to take a chance on her. The thought sent a spark of curiosity through her, and for the first time in years, emotion flashed through her eyes.

In the land of Lakeshadow, a place of dooming shadows, with five distinct regions - Evaria, Nafaria, Tharos, Lyra, and Icetown - vampires lived openly among humans. In fact, vampires held significant power and influence in these lands. They were divided into three distinct categories.

First, there were the Half-lings. These were humans who had chosen to become vampires, seeking a longer lifespan. They were bitten by other vampires, often by their loved ones, and underwent a transformation process. However, this process was not always successful and required careful guidance to prevent the newly-turned vampire from losing control and harming humans. Half-lings were not significantly different from humans in terms of strength or abilities, but they lived longer and needed to consume blood to survive.

Next, there were the Regular vampires. They were born to vampire parents, either one human and one vampire or two vampires, and possessed superior strength, speed, and intelligence compared to Half-lings. Regular vampires played important roles in Lakeshadow's society and held positions of power.

Lastly, there existed the Pure-blooded vampires. These individuals were born to two Pure-blooded vampire parents, with no human blood in their lineage. They were the strongest, most intelligent, and longest-living of all vampires. Pure-blooded vampires held the highest positions in the council and wielded significant influence. Their venomous bites could transform humans directly into Regular vampires or, in some cases, create Rampage vampires, due to the potent nature of their blood.

The man who stood before the crowd was a Pure-blooded vampire. His presence commanded attention, and his piercing eyes seemed to see right through those around him. As a member of the highest echelon of vampire society, he embodied the characteristics of his kind unparalleled strength, unwavering intelligence, and an aura of quiet confidence.

The Organizer seeing the man was serious stepped Forward, auction hadn't started yet,the witches still had to show off their talent to the audience before the auctioning started, this was a rare occasion, Also considering that this man was willing to buy an old product, he wanted to quickly finalize everything.

"Since the young man has showed interest in buying our product, we will start the auction immediately," the Organizer announced, a hint of surprise in his voice. " We shall begin the auction."he quickly walked over to her pulling her by her shackles , having the gurl stumble and fall, didn't man didn't even bother to lend a hand , he turned to the crowd. " The bidding starts at 100 gold coins."

As the Organizer dragged her to the front, the witch stumbled and fell, her shackles clattering against the stone floor. The Pure-blooded vampire didn't flinch, his gaze fixed on her with an unnerving intensity. He seemed to be sizing her up, his eyes lingering on her frail form.

The Organizer cleared his throat, attempting to regain the audience's attention. "The bidding starts at 100 gold coins. Who will begin?" The room fell silent, with only a few hesitant murmurs from the crowd. It was clear that no one else was interested in bidding on the witch.

But the Pure-blooded vampire didn't hesitate. His voice rang out, firm and commanding. "I'll bid 500 gold coins." The audience gasped, shocked by the exorbitant amount. The Organizer's eyes widened, a greedy glint sparkling in his gaze.

"500 gold coins, going once... going twice..."

Just as the Organizer was about to bring down the gavel, a voice rang out from the back of the room. "1,000 gold coins!" The crowd turned to see who had made the bid, and their eyes widened in surprise. It was another Pure-blooded vampire, standing tall and imposing in the shadows. His eyes gleamed with a fierce intensity, and his voice was like thunder.

The first Pure-blooded vampire's gaze didn't waver, his eyes remaining fixed on the witch. His voice was calm and collected as he replied, "1,500 gold coins." The crowd gasped again, shocked by the escalating bids.

The second Pure-blooded vampire smiled, a cold and calculating smile. "2,000 gold coins," he countered, his voice dripping with confidence. The bids continued to rise, each Pure-blooded vampire determined to outdo the other.

"2,500 gold coins," the first Pure-blooded vampire bid, his voice firm and unyielding.

"3,000 gold coins," the second Pure-blooded vampire replied, his eyes flashing with a fierce light.

The bids continued to soar, the crowd watching in awe as the two Pure-blooded vampires clashed in a battle of wills. The amount reached 5,000 gold coins, then 8,000, and finally, 10,000 gold coins. The room fell silent, the only sound the heavy breathing of the two Pure-blooded vampires.

The Organizer's eyes shone with greed as he brought down the gavel. "Sold to the first Pure-blooded vampire for 10,000 gold coins." The crowd erupted into applause, stunned by the record-breaking bid."sir please come behind stage to make payments and Take your goods.

Behind the stage another she was sitting in her heals in the Instructors office, with her head bowed low before.

"It's a good thing we can finally get you off our hands. "The Instructor's voice was laced with disdain as he spoke, her words dripping with malice.

"You've been a disappointment from the start, a waste of our time and resources. Your magic is weak, your skills subpar. I'm surprised anyone would even bother buying you."

The witch remained silent, her head still bowed, as the Instructor continued to berate her But just as it seemed like the Instructor was about to continue his verbal assault, the door to the office burst open and the Pure-blooded vampire strode in, his presence commanding attention.

"I believe I've come for my purchase," he said, his voice firm and authoritative. The Instructor's eyes narrowed, her gaze flicking to the witch before returning to the vampire.

"Ah, yes. The... defective one. Very well, I'll finalize the paperwork." He gestured to a nearby servant, who scurried over with a parchment and a quill. The vampire's eyes never left the witch as he signed the document, his movements swift and efficient. And with that, the transaction was complete. The witch was now his property.

He then turned to the instructor. "I believe I do not owe this firm any more."?

The instructor quickly smiled nodding his head. "Yea Mister, you do not owe us a dime, you can take the product with you now."

The man nodded his red eyes glowing a bit." So tell me why you were Growling at my property. "
