A NEW REUNION (PART 2)

It was already evening when Lusserina finished telling her story. The sky had started to lose its light.

"Madam, please wait a moment, okay? I will prepare warm water for your bath."

Without waiting for my response, Lusserina disappeared from the dining table. As I waited while gazing at the lake, it wasn't long before Lusserina called out, saying that the bathroom was ready. She then guided me to the second floor.

I was surprised because this was a modern bathroom. The 3x2 meter bathroom was filled with modern equipment-a sink, a shower, and a bathtub-all powered by magic stones.

"Is something wrong?"

"Let me take care of your used clothes."

(Is she just going to stand there watching me undress? Even though we're both women, I still feel embarrassed.)

"T-turn around!"

Hearing my command, Lusserina turned her back to me. After I took off my clothes and handed them to Lusserina, she left the bathroom.

Instead of immediately washing myself in the shower or soaking in the bathtub, I just stood in front of the mirror above the sink. For the first time, I could see my new body. A young, beautiful woman with silver hair and blue eyes stared back at me. A small mole was visible beneath my right eye. For the next few minutes, I simply examined and admired the beauty of my new body.

Once I was satisfied, I immediately began washing myself in the shower. However, just as I was in the middle of it, the bathroom door opened again. Lusserina entered, wearing a white towel.

"Ahh?! W-what are you doing?"

"Allow me to assist you, Madam. Your body must be tired."

"W-what do you mean? I-I'm an adult, I-I can do it myself."

"Madam must be exhausted, right? So please allow me to help wash your body."

Without waiting for my answer, Lusserina pulled me under the shower. Warm water fell from the faucet, drenching my entire body. From behind, a hand and a soft cloth touched my skin. The sudden sensation sent shivers through my body. My heart pounded rapidly, and I trembled as her hands moved over every inch of my skin. My face turned red with embarrassment as she washed me.

After she finished washing my body, she also helped wash my hair. I was surprised that this fantasy world had both soap and shampoo.

"It's done, Madam. Now you may enter the bathtub. In the meantime, I will prepare your nightwear."

Without waiting for my response, Lusserina left the room. Turning to the bathtub, I saw numerous flower petals floating on the surface. Red, white, and purple petals drifted gently. Without further thought, I immersed myself in the tub.

"Ah... this is what I've been waiting for since I arrived in this world."

After soaking for a while, I got out of the bathtub and dried myself with a towel. When I left the bathroom, Lusserina guided me to the master bedroom.

When she opened the door, I saw a large bed on the left side, colored orange and light blue, meant for two people. Near it were two small nightstands with lamps on top. At the far end of the entrance was a large window with a chair nearby. On the right side, another large window led to a balcony. There was also a dressing table near the entrance.

On the bed, Lusserina had already prepared a nightgown for me. The gown was sheer white and semi-transparent. After putting it on, Lusserina took out a device that turned out to be a hairdryer. Like the other equipment, it was also powered by magic stones.

After helping me style my hair, Lusserina went to the kitchen to prepare dinner. I wanted to help, but she wouldn't allow it. She insisted on serving me. So all I could do was wait until she finished cooking.

About an hour later, the meal was ready. She had cooked so much food that I doubted I could finish it all, but I was wrong. Perhaps because my body required a lot of energy, I ended up eating a lot.

After finishing dinner, Lusserina still refused my help with washing the dishes. As a result, I just sat on the terrace, sipping warm tea while enjoying the beautiful view of the lake at night.

So many thoughts ran through my mind. Why did I end up in this world? Why was I inside my avatar's body? What happened to my old body? Was this reincarnation or something else? And then there were my new memories... what Lusserina told me about Rima and the children... and what I should do next...

No matter how much I thought about it, I couldn't find any answers. If this was my second chance at life, then all I could do now was enjoy it.

Feeling that it was enough for the night, I went to my room to end the day.

"Enter!"

After being granted permission, a man entered the room. He was a knight who had previously visited Luna's cabin. Before him sat a large-bodied draconian, writing a report at his desk.

"What is it?"

"There is something I need to report to the Commander."

"..."

"Are you serious?!"

"Yes, I am, Commander."

"(Earlier, the guild leader came here to discuss an adventurer named Luna who looked exactly like Lady Rimaria. Now he's bringing the same news again. If this is true, then... ) Very well, follow me. We're going to see the King."

"Understood!"

[A few hours earlier, at an academy]

A slender, silver-haired elf woman walked down a hallway. As she neared a particular room, a teenage girl burst out, running while crying. When the elf entered the room, she saw a bespectacled man at the far end, holding a vial of silvery-white potion.

"Dear, did you break another girl's heart?" the elf asked.

"I only scolded her about her schoolwork."

"What are you holding? (It looks familiar...)"

"This is a potion she submitted after requesting help from the adventurers' guild. I've never seen a potion like this before. Look at it! If this gets distributed, it could destroy the potion market. I think we should invite her here."

"Leave it to me tomorrow. For now, let's go home."

The chirping of birds served as my alarm, waking me up in the morning. I stretched my body before stepping out of bed, moving toward the window, and opening it. I let the cool morning air embrace me as I closed my eyes. After that, I went downstairs. There, I saw Lusserina already dressed in her maid uniform, cooking.

"Good morning, Lusserina!"

"Good morning, Madam! How was your sleep?"

"I slept so well."

"I'm glad to hear that. I've prepared your breakfast."

"Thank you, Lusserina."

"You're welcome, Madam."

I went to sit on the back terrace. The view here was truly breathtaking. Whether morning or night, the scenery never grew dull. It was indeed the perfect choice to build a home here.

For the next while, I simply enjoyed a warm glass of milk and a sandwich. After finishing breakfast, Lusserina had already prepared warm bathwater for me.

"..."

Just like yesterday, this morning, Lusserina had also prepared clothes for me in the bedroom. Since Rima and I had the same body shape, I wore one of her outfits. I put on a white blouse supported by a black corset, leaving the upper chest exposed, complemented by moon-shaped earrings and a necklace. For the lower part, I wore black leather pants and a pair of black-heeled boots. She also helped me get dressed and styled my hair.

After getting ready, I went downstairs to check out the front room of the house. The display cases and shelves were empty, with nothing inside. As I looked around, memories surfaced of when this shop was once bustling with customers.

Suddenly, someone slammed the front door open.

A silver-haired elf woman, just like me, wearing a long dark purple dress, stood panting as if she had been running from something. She stared at me for a few moments before collapsing onto the floor, crying loudly.

HUWAAAAA~ sob sob

"Miss, are you alright?"

She didn't respond, only continued crying. Shocked by the sudden event, I instinctively approached her. As I got closer, she suddenly hugged me tightly, sobbing.

(Maybe she's in trouble, so I'll let her cry for now.)

As her sobs softened, she spoke words that shocked me.

"I knew Mother was still alive and would come back. I missed you so much, Mom!"

(Mother?!)

Looking at her again, she had the same eye and hair color as me. Could she be...?!
