It's been a week since Lydia has been helping me. She told me that she wants to help me find the killer and get justice for Stiles. We have been trying to see some history of the people in interviews to see if they lied about.
“Only Luka is most suspicious because he lied about all the things.” Lydia said, biting her ice-cream.
“You are right. But we need to find some proof.” I replied.
“But you already have some photographs. Isn't that enough?” She asked.
“We need something more important. Like a video.”
“I have an idea. The place where Stiles and Luka were arguing on 2nd May have some CCTVs. We can check that.” She said,
“Great, we must go—” I was interrupted.
“But they won't let us see the footage. I have a plan.” She said,
That's when I saw Oliver looking at me with those wide eyes. I think he was jealous of seeing me with a girl. I realised it was almost my time for my shift. I walked there.
I leaned against the nurses’ station, arms crossed, watching Oliver scribble something on a patient’s chart. His stupidly perfect handwriting annoyed me almost as much as his presence.
"You look tense, Oliver," I said, my voice dripping with amusement. "Long day?"
He didn't even glance up. "Unlike you, some of us actually work here."
I smirked. "Ouch. That almost hurt."
Oliver finally looked at me, eyes sharp. "What do you want, Liam?"
"Nothing much. Just proving a point."
He sighed. "If this is about your so-called charm again, save it. I told you, it won’t work on me."
I leaned in slightly, close enough to make him uncomfortable but not close enough to get punched. "Are you sure about that?"
His jaw clenched. "Positive."
I tilted my head. "You hesitated."
"I did not."
"You did." I grinned, stepping even closer. "I think you’re scared."
Oliver scoffed. "Of what? Your terrible flirting?"
"Scared you might actually fall for it."
For a split second, he said nothing. Then, his lips curled into a smirk of his own. "You’re delusional."
"Maybe," I shrugged. "But your ears are turning red."
His expression stiffened. "They're not."
I chuckled, backing away just enough to give him space. "Whatever helps you sleep at night, Oliver."
His eyes narrowed. "Go do your job, Liam."
I winked. "I just did."
And for the first time, Oliver had no comeback.
[Clara] : Hey Liam! Do you know what just Max did to me?
[Me] : No. Did you fight again?
[Max] : Do you know what my sister did to me?
[Me] : Will you explain it? Are you both fighting?
[Clara] : You are on my side, right?
[Max] : Just shut up. He's with me.
[Me] : Will you tell me what happened?
[Max] : Clara just told Ava about my dirty secrets.
[Clara] : Don't act smart. You started it.
[Me] : So it's just about it.
[Clara] : I am not going on a double date with you ever again.
[Max] : Like I would.
[Clara] : Liam, let's drink tonight. Be at the bar at eight.
[Me] : Okay.
It was getting late and my shift was over. I walked away and left the hospital. I walked over the bar and found Clara. We had a few drinks. Then she left with Josh. I walked towards home too.
I was drunk and my whole body was tired. I couldn't see clearly. I was walking unevenly. I bumped into a man. There were times man. I apologized to them and walked forward.
Then stopped me and grabbed my hand. I tried to lose it. But I fell back.
“Do you think you will go away with a sorry?” One of the men said.
Then he tried to punch me. I pushed his hand forward and held it tight. It was coming towards my face with a force when someone stopped it. It was Oliver. He grabbed his hand and pushed him.
“What do you think you are doing?” The man spoke.
“If you start to hit him again. I will call the police.” Oliver said, dialling 911.
The man looked at each other and walked away. They looked angry. Did he just save me? But why? I stood up. Oliver helped me.
“Why did you help me?” I asked him.
“Welcome.” He replied.
“You don't even like me. You look jealous when you see me with others.” I said, probably because I was drunk.
“I guess you are drunk. Let me walk you home.” He said, grabbing my hand.
“No. I can go by myself.” I said, I free my hand.
“No. You are too drunk.” He said.
“Like you care. You even look at me like you will rip my eyes out.” I said, pointing at him.
“Are you alright?” He asked.
“I don't even know if my charm is working or not. Sometimes it looks like it works and sometimes it doesn't.” I said.
“Someone let's go.” He said.
“No.” I said, pulling my hand.
Then he pulled me closer. I was very close to him. I could hear heartbeats. Both of us. Then I looked up. And he kissed me on my lips. His kiss was soft and gentle. Then he touched my neck.
“Your charm is working very well. I am attracted to you. That's why I don't like when others talk to you.” He said, looking into my eyes.
Then he touched the back of my neck with both of his hands. Then he came closer to me. More closer. More closer. Then he kissed me hard. Then when I realised what was happening.
I pushed him back. I cleaned my mouth with my hand. I was looking at him angrily. Then I walked towards him and hit him with a punch right on his right eye.
“What were you doing?” I asked.
“I don't like you. How could you kiss me?” I said.
“I thought you liked this. You kissed me first. In the tent if you don't remember it.” Oliver said, keeping his finger on his eyes.
“I was drunk at that time. And now too. Are you taking advantage of me?” I asked.
“What do you mean?” He snapped.
“Stay away from me now.” I said, walking away.
“I don't think that's possible. You started this. I started to fall for you.” He said, pulling my hand.
“Then, stop it.” I snapped back.
“I don't think I can. You started this and now you want to end this.” He said, raising an eyebrow.
“I already like someone. And it's a girl. I am not interested in guys.” I said.
“Do you think I was?” He said.
“I can’t do this. Don't come closer to me.” I said, stepping back.
“You started this. But I will end it.” He said, I walked away acting like I didn't hear.
