Chapter 20:

To burn it all.

Salvatore´s School for villains

“¡President!” In great distress the student council president cried out to her.

Naga Kochar lowered himself to his knees and began to take a look at her; Domina Salvatore that had fallen to the ground without being able to move again, behind him the vice president stared at them distressed almost too afraid to get any closer.

“She is still breathing, but has to be treated immediately.” Naga spoke softly.

“Oh…right, she wouldn´t die so easily.”

“A bullet wound and it barely missed her lungs, she was shoot from the back and by the angle I would say from a higher position… I´ll try to hold back the bleeding and call for an ambulance, honestly make it a national emergency if you people can.” Naga´s eye where dull and his expression severe, but there was concern in his usually cold voice.

“Who did this…¿who?” Almost like they couldn´t hear him the vice president began to look around them his eyes instantly drawn to the base of the statue and the hole it had from which blood was spitted. “She fought someone here.” Jeanne turned back and stared at a crumbled pile of rubble near the president, it seemed to have been burned, but it still resembled some sort of machine.

“It was Irvin Maximillian for sure and he wasn´t alone.” Naga removed her cape and began to tend to her wounds in silence.

“No way, that weakling couldn´t have left her like this, it’s all nonsense.” The vice president bitted their golden nails. “Apparently she did, do not get distracted she still needs you to think calmly of what we need to do.” Naga looked at Jeanne with a scold, but the vice president turned their back on him and walked to the stairs, searching for any trace of blood, they found none but there was something else there. “I found some kind of radio…” Jeanne crouched to grab it and turn it on and stared at it with great surprise when he saw the screen.

“This has a tracked on it…and its showing someone’s location.” At hearing that Naga raised an eyebrow in his confusion. “That is far too convenient, are we supposed to think he dropped it on the fight.” Jeanne looked at it more clearly. “It may be a trap or bait or maybe… he sold out his own comrade to escape.” Their mechanical grip closed on the device as the vice president´s face twisted in anger. “I suppose we should have brought more people along, our carefulness sure has cost us now, but none of that matters , the president’s state is grave and we will have to forget about them both.” With a long sigh Naga carefully moved her hair from her face.

“Non, at the very least I will find out who actually shot her, be it a trap or not I can´t let it go.” The vice president walked back towards them both, his eyes refusing to see her in such a state. “Please take of her and I will debt you the world.” Naga looked at Jeanne, even if he found their actions foolish he wouldn´t deny them. “No need, cleaning up her mistakes is my job as her secretary, just make sure to come back fast, I´m sure she would rather have you looking up for her than an oaf like me.”

The vice president took off their white bell hat and put it on his head.” Don´t worry I´m a professional, so take care of this too is a favorite of mine.” Naga looked back at them with a quiet grunt as he moved his long black locks off his face, the cute white hat looking way too silly on a man with his rigid face.

“I´ll be back in a second, after all, there is no one in this island faster than I.”

Saying that Jeanne lifted one of their golden legs and ran faster and faster. Their limbs moved with grace and jumped over all of the stair of the plaza with a single leap, their every step leaving a print upon the soil from their great strength as they ran becoming a blur to anyone’s eyes, the vice president looked down as tears feel from their eyes, but quickly stared ahead through the road and towards a building that drew closer.

Jeanne leaped towards it, their legs opening up a vent behind them an releasing a burst of flames sending them flying towards the wall where they quickly began to run upwards in the wall itself their speed growing faster and faster as they screamed, a bitter scream of frustration no one else heard.

“Damn it, he is not answering.”

Danny Storm had run away inside an unfinished constructed building to try to take a look at the situation with his own eye´s. He shot the student council president and could only assume the hit was fatal, but there was nothing, but radio silence from Irvin since then. “Should I just escape on my own, I wasn´t even told where the damn boat was…this is strange and frigid weird.” He saw him ran away, so unless something else had happen he should be alive, so why the silence? This question was wrecking Danny´s mind till it leave him unable to move and once more he grabbed the radio.

“Huh…his location has finally moved.” The tracker he had used to reach Irvin in time to save him was telling something different than it had done a few minutes ago. “It’s not possible; this is just right where I am.” He heard the sound of a window breaking just behind him and by instincts alone he gave a turn pulling out his revolver with his shaking hand.

“You are Danny Storm, of course you are.”

He stare at a figure of a slim person in a white dress with golden plated arms and legs, they had broken through the window into the buildings thirty floor and was now look at him from below their messy black bangs of hair. Danny breathed heavily and immediately shot him with his gun bearing the recoil the best he could. The figure slipped to the side of his sight moving so quickly it barely felt like they had moved at all, but they ended very far away from where the bullet had gone.

“So you came for a second shot, the president was too kind to have allowed you to live and yet this was your answer.” Danny aimed again in anger and another shot rang out as the figure dodge the bullet by crouching and leaped forward towards him, he barely took a breath before their golden leg kicked him on his face and threw him through the air letting him crash on his wounded arm.

“¿Why, tell me why you had to shot her? We had no bad history with you or your grandmother, you traitor.” The vice president seemed to spit as they spoken. “¿Haha I see you come for revenge then? Sorry but there never was any grand reason.” Danny quickly got back up aiming his gun back at them a big smile on his face, his cowboy hat now lying upon the ground. “I’m the man who shoot down Salvatore´s heir, not even my grandmother can be that famous Hah… I´m Danny storm.”

They looked at each other, the vice presidents face unreadable, but Danny´s was beaming even if blood was dropping from the side of his head. “¡Danny Storm, even you must know that name now, I’m the real American storm now. So never look down on me again.” Before he shot a single bullet more, Jeanne´s arm opened at its right side and they pulled out a small knife and threw it at his hand cutting off his finger before he could pull the trigger.

“Quiet, you are nothing but a sacrificial goat.”

Jeanne´s arms split at their center, the two golden plated arms became three smaller and more delicate long limbs, the sight left Danny speechless, the golden arms now danced around the vice president each of them in their own way, they had but a small claws at each of their ends used to hold small knives and with rapid precision they threw them forward.

The knives pierced Danny in his hands and then hooked themselves into the wall trapping him, two more knives pierced his knees and two more stamped his coat against a pillar, leaving him crucified against the wall.

“You don´t even realize you were just a sacrifice offered to me.” The ends of the many arms came together in the shape of a spearhead and the many arms of Jeanne Weiss rose like the limbs of a spider encroaching upon their prey.

“¡What the hell are you saying!” His voice was cut by his screams of pain as the long tips pierced his body; they began slowly dancing as each of them pierced deep into his skin and retracted again. “You won´t die, if I wanted you death you wouldn´t even have notice me come.” Danny scream as he tried to stare upon their face, Jeanne had a sad expression tears on their eyes, as their many arms pierce his prey and let his blood fell into the ground.

“You followed the wrong man, someone who simply threw you away.”

One of their arms stopped and began descend till it took out a radio from the pockets on their skirt and rapidly stretched it forward to show it to him at his very face, his eyes bulged. “You were betrayed by a man who wasn´t feat to lead you, my condolences.” Jeanne´s expression showed him nothing but contempt as two of the golden limbs pierced right over Danny´s chest cutting his skin in thick long lines.

“¡Just kill me already!” Danny couldn´t bear it any more, he had never felt pain like that, in his agony Danny could barely think of what this person was saying.

“No, I will take care not to, as much I would want to, I’m a professional. I take great pride in my assassination techniques so I can end any live in a silent still moment, or make their pain remain forever if I need them too, you debt that man nothing anymore so speak and save yourself the pain and I will let you simply rest in a caring kindness, even if you don´t really deserve it, that is my art and pride as an assassin.” Their words were soft and gentle, but their expression remained completely cold almost like a machine reading from a script compared to that Danny screamed and struggled with all he could as his flesh was pierced and cut, pierced and cut, pierced and cut.

“¡Shut up, that bastard still gave me my vengeance!” Jeanne looked at him with pity, he was trying to seem angry but tears kept falling from Danny´s face, none the less he didn´t seem defeated and Jeanne´s lips quivered.

“¡There was one more thing that bastard gave me, a good chance to take another one off you off!” Danny clenched his teeth and a small beeping sound began to count from within his chest. “You really are a fool.” Jeanne´s arms retracted as they jumped back away from him as much as they could.

“You bastard…I hope you´ll die too…arggg” Danny storm screamed in a mix of mad joy and pain, anger and agony as his whole body was enveloped in an explosion that spread forward burning everything within the building, the vice president´s figure disappear when the fire reached them.

“The bomb was activated…”

Irvin Maxillian was holding himself on top of a small white motor boat as he sailed through the contaminated bay and into the sea beyond it, his expression pale with one of his eyes completely closed as he drove away seeing only with the other one.

¿There was no other choice was there? I´m only alive because he saved me from her and yet I’m only alive because I sacrificed him in turn. ¿Was there really no other way?

Irvin slumped down barely keeping himself straight, his bandaged arm beginning to bleed again, but the pain didn´t concern him anymore. ¿Did I panic and stopped thinking, couldn´t there had been some other way to distract them? ¿Maybe I should have taken my chances instead? Because of this there may not be anyone to save me tomorrow; our eyes have been lost as well…” Irvin Maxillian felt about to pass out upon the wheel, but he managed to raised his head. I can´t be so naïve to think we would be only ones that won´t sacrifice anyone, but…¿Why was it that I wanted him to join us back then?

I guess because I want to see if your words were true, father. To prove to him that there was no one useless in this world.

But I failed, there was no way for me to help him, we are nothing, but villains and its best we stick to our role or else I will fail to destroy all that I want to destroy. The dice was cast all we can do now is to wait and see if my wish comes true. ¿How was it again? ¿That quote you always liked father? Irvin stared at the horizon as it finally turned dark with the resting of the sun beyond the clouds.

“Wait and hope.”

Agg,,,augg, this is ridiculous.”

Kojiro Adachi breathed heavily among a curtain of smoke, amidst the smell of rotten flesh as he stared above him into a thick cloud of dust and smoke that befall into the city streets. “I said I would protect everyone…” The sound of explosion and bullets singed and singed through the familiar streets he had always known. “But I can´t do a thing, not a thing…” He stared at it a monstrosity floating upon the very skies, a ship or maybe an airplane, that is what he had thought, but it wasn´t any such thing it was a castle that had descended from skies, its eyes bright light that searched through the ground as bombs feel and imploded below its colossal shadow.

“You bastards come down here and fight.” Kojiro spoke short of breath and with no strength left on his voice, his body was fine, but his spirit was shaken to its core. That gigantic monster from above the clouds had taken his grandfather and killed his entire clan rendering his efforts to nothing.

Upon the front of the giant haul of steel there was a symbol, a circular window illuminating with a powerful light, it was a gigantic searchlight huge amongst the many other the fortress carried through the air and within there was a symbol. An elegant an simple letter M, in cursives and with the bottom part stretching like root in a half circle.

He had no idea what it meant, but he would never forget it.

“I´m too small, far too small…” Kojiro screamed in anger as he jumped forward amidst the rubble in search of whatever his hands could still reach.
