Ruin - Mesuda Village Arc

As they heard the knock on the door Selene began to get up to see who was there. When Selene opened the door she was greeted by a silver haired man in black priest attire.

“Are those guild members there? The beast are attacking the village on the far side” yelled the Priest frantically as he clung to the wooden door frame.

As the group heard this they all jumped out their seats and began to head towards the door of the cabin before being stopped by Selene.

“Do yous even know where to go?” Asked Selene as she stood blocking the door. After a moments pause of no answer from the group she continued with a sigh, “I’m coming and I’m helping fight them.” As she said this she ran over to the cabinet where she had got the herbs before and pulled out a rapier.

“Fine, just don’t get hurt ok” said Honō as Selene returned to the door rapier in hand.

“No, worries I’ve fought beasts before” replied Selene before asking the priest to move out of their way.

After the priest got out of their way the group began to run from cabin with Selene leading them to the far side of the town. As they ran towards the far side of the village Witz began to put her gauntlets on before stopping.

“Go on ahead I’ve an idea of where yous are going I’ll catch up, just need to gear up” yelled Witz at the rest of group as she bent down to put her boots on.

“Ok just don’t be long ok, we might be done before you get there” shouted Ash with a childish smile, as he began to pull out his own daggers in preparation for the fight ahead.

As they got to the far side of the of the village they were greeted by the sight of ruined homes and the bears in the centre of it. The people around the ruined buildings were all either injured, running, or on the ground panicking.

“Ok Selene you and I will get the people to safety, Ash you think you can handle them all for a minute or two?” Asked Honō as he looked at Ash holding his daggers itching to fight.

“Only one way to find out isn’t there, Honō” replied Ash, his eyes looking like fireworks as he began to charge towards the beast.

“Ok he’ll keep them busy we need to move the people to safety” said Honō as he looked to see Selene already helping people get out of the danger zone.

“Get to work already slowpoke” shouted Selene at Honō as she aided someone in getting away from collapsing debris.

As Honō started to help Selene with moving the people of the village in the danger zone out of it, Ash had started the battle with the beasts.

As Ash charged the twelve beasts, a large shower of rocks and crystals began to rain down on him to which he used his daggers to parry most of, if not all the projectiles that thrown at him by two of the bears, only letting few graze his face and arms.

When the shower of projectiles ended, Ash was charged at by a bear with long steal claws. As the steal claws of the bear began to come down on him he used his daggers to stab the palms of the bears paws, causing the beast to roar in pain as it fell back. As the bear fell back Ash pulled his daggers up the bears paws slicing them in half, from the base of the paws up to its claws.

After the bear fell back Ash ran at the beast and used it as a stepping stone to lunge into the air above all the beast.

As he began to fall back to the ground he coated his daggers with ash extending the blades to triple their original length.

When Ash landed on the ground, he stood holding his daggers which looked more like katanas now before saying,

“Ashen technique: Itsuwari no seichō”
