Rise of the Necromancer
Chapter 1: The Fall of a Kingdom
English Version
It all started long ago, in an age where humans were still settling across the world.
The sun shone brightly over the kingdom, casting a golden glow over Ruholda, a newly settled city, barely a hundred years old. Within its bustling streets, a humble merchant couple ran a small store, unaware that their lives—and the fate of the entire kingdom—were about to change.
In the heart of the Royal Capital, Elvyo, a once-proud kingdom now fell under corrupt rule. The king, Elvin, once a mighty warrior known for his intelligence and battle strategy, had grown weak. One fateful day, he fell gravely ill, summoning his third son, Lin, to take the throne before his death.
Lin, a kind-hearted yet hesitant young man, knelt before his father."Father, I cannot take the throne. My elder brothers are stronger and more deserving than me."
The king let out a weak, coughing laugh. "Haha... You are right, Lin. You are younger and weaker than your brothers... But you have something they lack."
"What is it?" Lin asked, confused.
"The will to help people... without expecting anything in return."
His elder brothers, Elichiro and Elven, had been sent on a quest to retrieve the most valuable treasure in the world. The king had promised that whoever returned with it would be crowned as the next ruler. But fate had other plans.
The news of Lin's ascension to the throne enraged his elder brothers. Furious, they abandoned their quest and stormed back to the capital.
"Lin, you bastard!" Elichiro roared upon arrival. "How dare you steal what is rightfully ours?!"
Elven stood beside him, his face twisted in anger. "You have no right to rule!"
Their father, the king, silenced them. "Enough! You have lost. Accept it and leave!"
Rage burned in their hearts, but they had no choice but to retreat. Lin was crowned king, and soon after, he married the daughter of a merchant—the very woman from the small store in Ruholda.
A year passed in uneasy peace… until his brothers revealed their true nature.
A rebellion erupted. Lin, bound by his father's final wish, refused to surrender. The kingdom was thrown into 56 days of war, a brutal battle between Lin’s loyal forces and the rebel army led by Elichiro and Elven.
But on the 57th day, betrayal struck.
Elichiro murdered his own brother, Elven, in cold blood, stealing from him the Ring of a Thousand Wars, an artifact blessed by a goddess that granted its wielder power ten times greater than normal.
Now, only Lin remained. He stood against Elichiro, who had become a monstrous warrior, powerful enough to rival even the 12 Demon Lords.
"Lin, you are strong," Elichiro sneered, "but you are too soft. Join me, and we shall conquer the world together!"
"Never!" Lin roared.
A wicked grin spread across Elichiro’s face. "Then perhaps you’ll reconsider… after I kill your wife and unborn child."
Lin’s blood ran cold. His pregnant wife had been captured.
But what Elichiro didn’t know was that Lin’s wife was no ordinary woman—she was a half-dark elf, one of the most powerful warriors of her kind. With the help of her loyal maids, she escaped the capital on horseback.
Deep in the Forest of the Dead, alone and weak, she gave birth to a child of light and darkness.
Meanwhile, Lin fell in battle, but before dying, he cast a forbidden curse—the Shinichiro Curse, sealing Elichiro’s fate.
"One day… my bloodline will return… and you will die by my kin’s hands."
Elichiro went mad with rage, slaughtering both his enemies and his own men, until he was stopped by Megira, the Sixth Demon Lord, who sensed the dark energy from afar.
The dark elf queen, dying after childbirth, whispered her final words to her son."Live on… May the Goddess of Darkness guide your path…"
Lin’s dying whisper followed…"And may the Goddess of Light bless you…"
Thus, a child was born, carrying the power of both light and darkness.
Abandoned in the depths of the Forest of the Dead, he was discovered—not by humans, but by a tribe of goblins.
And so, his journey began…
