Chapter 66:

The Epitome

The Eternal world of Mona

Nxy and the others are making their way towards the Divine Value, but they suddenly stop in their tracks. They can sense something dark and foreboding approaching, a presence that fills them with a sense of dread. They look around, trying to locate the source of the presence. But the darkness seems to be coming from all around them, closing in on them like a shadowy wave.

Metilda senses the incoming attack and reacts instantly, slicing through it with lightning fast speed and precision. She's honed her instincts to a razor's edge, her reflexes near flawless.

Angelica senses the arrival of the dark figures, their auras powerful and menacing. She immediately recognizes them as Zachary's subordinates, her expression turning grim and determined. She speaks in a low, tense voice.

"Zachary's got his lackeys on our tail. We need to deal with them and keep going. No distractions."

Metilda nods in agreement, her face stern and focused.

"Agreed. We can't let them slow us down. We need to deal with them quickly and keep moving."

The Zachary's subordinates speak, their voices low and menacing.

"Well, well, look who it is. The little group of heroes trying to stop us."

Metilda scoffs, her expression contemptuous.

"Yeah, save the villainous monologue. We're not in the mood for it."

Nxy tells them. "Who are you"

The Zachary's subordinates respond, their voices cold and hard.

"We are the Elite Guard, the strongest and most loyal soldiers in Zachary's army. And we have been sent to stop you from reaching the Divine Value."

The Zachary's subordinates speak, their voices cold and arrogant.

"I'm Cain, the captain of the Elite Guard. And these two are my lieutenants, Abel and Lilith."

Abel and Lilith nod, their expressions stoic and unyielding.

Nxy looks confused, trying to place the familiar names. Angelica struggles to hold back her laughter at Nxy's expression, a small smile playing at the corner of her lips. Metilda just looks impatient, her expression dark and dangerous. She's clearly itching for a fight.

Cain notices their reactions and sneers, his expression smug.

"Something funny?" he asks, his voice filled with mockery.

Angelica can't help but let out a small chuckle.

"It's just...aren't you guys a little cliche?" she says, her voice mocking and derisive.

Cain bristles at her barb, his expression irritated.

"Cliche?" he growls, his voice filled with anger. "We are the deadliest warriors in Zachary's army. We are the Elite Guard, the ones who have faced down armies and come out victorious. We are not cliche."

Angelica laughs, her expression dismissive and cocky.

"Sure, sure. You're just a bunch of overpowered henchmen. Classic bad guy minions. You're cliché."

Cain and his subordinates are visibly angry now, their eyes flashing with anger and their faces twisted with disdain.

"You dare to insult us?" Cain sneers, his voice low and dangerous. "We are not just minions, we are the Elite Guard. We are the strongest and most loyal soldiers in Zachary's army, and we will not tolerate such disrespect from the likes of you."

Metilda rolls her eyes, clearly unimpressed.

"Yeah, yeah. You're the strongest, the fastest, the toughest. We get it. But you're still cliches, and you still work for Zachary. So let's just skip to the part where we take you down, shall we?"

Cain and his subordinates smirk, their expressions confident and smug. They pull out an orb, holding it up for all to see. The very air around them seems to shimmer and ripple with power, a sense of danger and intensity radiating off the orb in waves.

Metilda grimaces - this is no ordinary orb. The power it emits is nothing she's ever sensed before. It's like a storm, building and thundering, almost too much to bear.

The ground shakes, the very fabric of reality quivering and straining under the power surging from the orb. Cain and his lieutenants transform, becoming beings of almost unimaginable power. They are beyond omnipotent, beyond even the concept of power itself.

Metilda is taken aback, her eyes wide with disbelief. This is power on a scale she's never seen or even imagined. These are no longer just soldiers, they are forces of nature, almost godlike in their power and presence.

Nxy raises her rapier, the blade glowing with an otherworldly light. Angelica's form shimmers and shudders, as if she is transforming into something beyond even her usual power. Metilda becomes something else entirely, a being of pure and absolute space and time, a goddess of the very fabric of reality itself.

Cain and his subordinates smirk, their own power immense and towering. They are beyond even gods now, beings of incomprehensible power that have shattered the very laws of existence.

The battle begins, and it is a cataclysmic clash of power beyond comprehension. Reality itself twists and warps around the combatants, the very fabric of existence straining to contain their battle. The landscape around them tears and shreds, the very air torn asunder by the sheer force of their attacks.

They clash and clash, blows landing with thunderous force and energy crackling through the air. The very ground beneath them quivers and tears, the sky above them rippling and cracking like glass. Reality itself seems to buckle and strain under the weight of their power.

Both sides rain down blows and power without mercy, each attack more devastating than the last. Reality is consumed by the battle, the very fabric of existence trembling and cracking with each mighty blow. It's as if all of creation is being torn apart by this titanic struggle.

Nxy strikes Cain, her rapier flashing out in a swift and deadly assault. He blocks the blow at the last moment, his own power flaring as he parries her attack.

He sneers, his eyes dark and malevolent. "Is that all you got?" he asks, his voice taunting and challenging.

Cain shifts the very fabric of reality itself, his power allowing him to manipulate the world around them to his advantage. The ground shifts and warps, the air thickens and condenses. Everything is altered to suit his needs, his power absolute and overwhelming.

Nxy and the others are thrown off balance by the shift in reality, their attacks and movements suddenly off-kilter and ineffective. They struggle to adapt to the changing environment, their power and skill suddenly feeling like nothing compared to Cain's complete control over the world around them.

Cain grins, his expression victorious. "You see how futile this is?" he sneers. "I control everything. The ground you stand on, the air you breathe, even the very laws of reality itself. You cannot hope to defeat me."

Angelica and Metilda sense something in these beings they're facing off against - they are no longer simply powerful warriors. They have transcended the very concept of godhood, become something wholly and utterly beyond. They are more than gods, more than anything they have ever encountered before.
