The Cave

Albert, a young boy of 10 full of enthusiasm and curiosity. He was very different compared to other kids of his age. He lived on a small island very far from the usual settlement with his parents and grandparents.

The island where he lived was peaceful and also a good place for trading. He used to help his parents with their fishing business almost everyday.He occasionally used to play with his friends too. He wished for something interesting to happen but every day was just the same boring day.

One day, he woke up to see a friend of his, calling him to make a sand castle with the others. It was very difficult. The day passed very quickly; But they just couldnt make the castle. It was dusk already. So, his friends went home. he came to the shore to rest for a while. There, he thought how fun it would be having an actual castle while staring at the sunset. It became night, he didnt even realize it he hurried back to home with a glum face.

Always in the evening, he used to go to the shore and think about some stupid things and play with his friends. After few day, He decided to ask about the island which he had been thinking of for so long, The island was barely visible from his home. Another day in the evening, he went home without playing with his friends. He called his mom and dad, and asked about the island. His parents asked him,"What made you think about it,son?"Albert replied,"Umm..., I was just wondering, what's outside this island, so." His dad whispered to himself, "How did he even notice that island?" His dad spoke politely "Son, look, that island you are talking about is very dangerous. No one has ever returned who has stepped on that island. you better not be thinking to go there." Albert replied,"alright, father." After that, they ate, Albert's father and mother were tired so, they fell asleep quickly.

Albert went to his grandparents' room and asked about the island to make sure the things his father told were correct. He went in and asked. His grandmother replied to him with a worried face,"Who told you about all these, you are still too small to understand these things." Albert went to his room. He was excited to see what was on that mysterious island. Everyone had slept But there was something else going on in Albert's mind.

He was bored with his everyday life. He always dreamed of doing something different and big. And that day, finally, he found something worth risking his life for. He decided to go on that island. He prepared to go to the island that night, around midnight, he left the house, he took his parents' boat, which they used for fishing. He was not thinking about anything, he just moved on, he was never excited as much as he was that day. He moved on, and on, but the island was at the same place, it felt like, Albert was never getting close to the island. Still, he continued his journey, and finally, when it was about daybreak, he reached the island. And to his astonishment, the island looked surprisingly normal.

Albert entered the island, and he still remembered the things his father told. But he didn't regret coming there, he thought it was his decision, so he should take responsibility for it. As he moved through, some weird creatures appeared, but they seemed surprisingly harmless. After a while of walking through the forest, he started to witness human skeletons, which made him freak out. More horrible things appeared which were too much for Albert to watch. After some time of walking, a cave was in view, where some slimy-looking creatures were at the entrance,unlike the other creatures he had encountered,they looked scary. Albert didn't want to go there because of those creatures. He even stopped beside a tree to see their activities,but they were just roaming around the entrance. But his curiosity led him towards the cave,after all. And little did he know something unexpected was awaiting him.
