"Answer me Kanue what the hell have you done to our teacher " Ryder screamed intensely. "Oh crap he killed her, is he a Salphuthrite? Yes he-he has to be , does that mean I'm next , no i won't allow that it's either kill or be killed" Ryder thought in his mind
"Wait Ryder stay in your senses and don't jump to conclusions, i know you're already thinking about something just hear me out" Kanue said expressionless in his usual emotionless voice
"Enoughhh i don't want to hear any lies from you , you're gonna kill me next , aren't you " Ryder screamed then advanced forward at Kanue he then threw a punch"its either kill or be killed, and i won't let that happen to me" Ryder exclaimed. But Kanue simply tilted his head dodging the punch.
Ryder tried to punch again but Kanue simply sidestepped to his back this time, Ryder tried using his elbow to hit Kanue but he just used his palm to send the propulsion back before Ryder could attempt again, Kanue caught his hand out and twisted it and put him on the ground using his body weight to make sure Ryder stayed still
"It seems you're not willing to reason, well you should take a little nap for a while now " Kanue said.
" No I refuse to-" before Ryder could complete his sentence Kanue already knocked him out and then everything went black
[ Later at The Prime Minister of Japan office] Ken was busy in his office arranging his paperwork. But Suddenly there was a knock on his door
" Come back later, I'm busy " Ken exclaimed. But the person outside knocked again " i said I was busy" he then looked down back at his paperwork
But then suddenly the door opens " And who dare has the audacity to come in uninvited"
"I must have a lot of audacity then" Ken saw it was Kanue himself there
" Kanue , i must say this is unexpectedly sudden, "
"If it was a normal person saying that i might have just believed , but not from someone like you Kenny "
"He you over estimate me , but on a more serious note , what brings you here "
"One word, Salphuthrite"
"I see , we can discuss this matter but if you don't mind, I'd like to change the scenery "
[Later in a park] Ken completely changed what he was wearing trying to disguise himself so no one recognizes him
" This feels better, now doesn't it Kanue?"
"Perhaps , it does , anyway onto business, our suspicion was indeed correct , a Salphuthrite was infact following me in the school but eventually I was able to defeat"
Ken looked at him properly before speaking"you defeated a Salphuthrite?"
"Yes,is that so hard to believe?"
Ken looked at him before smiling"hmmm if it were anyone else i wouldn't but i never doubted you , not for a single second, if there was anyone who could do it , it was you "
"My, you're flattering me"
"Hehehe am i now? So what did you learn from the Salphuthrite"
" 5 things it seems Salphuthrite have the ability to shapeshift into anything, they also have insane Regeneration, with extra ordinary strength and as well as extra ordinary speed " Kanue Said his expression unreadable
"Hmmm any weaknesses?" Ken asked curiously
"Yes in the head if you severe it or maybe completely destroy it , it dies" he said
" Is that so ? That's interesting so the only way to kill them is in the head, that's valuable information"
" Yes there was also something else i observed , the Salphuthrite mentioned" mission " and "Job " i think it was working with other Salphuthrite "
"I see so we might be working against a whole organization of then working together then? Interesting" Ken didn't seem interested he was even amused with a bit of a smile on his face . "Well i thank you Kanue, this information has been invaluable to me , i thank you". Ken stood up just about to leave, but Kanue called out to him
"Wait Kenny, we had a bit of casuality though" Ken wandered what sort of casuality " A Casuality? Which is?"
"Wellll , someone saw the body and misinterpreted the situation"
[At a room] Ryder was tied up struggling but it was in vain , suddenly Kanue came in "oh how am I going to deal with you?"
Ryder was tied up, his wrists bound tightly behind his back, the coarse rope digging into his skin. He struggled, his breathing heavy, his mind racing with paranoia and fear. He had seen the body.
Kanue stood at the doorway, arms crossed, his expression unreadable as always. His cold gaze studied Ryder’s struggle.
"Oh, how am I going to deal with you?" Kanue mused
Ryder’s teeth clenched as he glared at him. “Untie me right now, Kanue! I swear, if you try anything—”
Kanue sighed, stepping forward, his footsteps slow and deliberate. He knelt down to Ryder’s level, meeting his enraged eyes with his own unsettling calmness. “Calm down.”
“You killed her, didn’t you?” Ryder accused, his voice laced with venom. “You killed our teacher! I saw the body, Kanue! I know what you are!”
Kanue tilted his head slightly, as if contemplating whether to bother explaining. “If I killed her, why would I bother keeping you alive?”
Ryder hesitated.
“Then explain it!” Ryder demanded. “If you didn’t kill her, then who did? Why did you tie me instead of just explaining? Why the hell am I tied up like this?”
Kanue closed his eyes briefly before opening them again. “Because you weren’t willing to listen. You saw a dead body, made an assumption, and tried to kill me. I acted accordingly.”
Ryder scoffed. “And knocking me out was your ‘accordingly’?”
“It was the most efficient way to de-escalate the situation,” Kanue replied plainly. “And I wanted to confirm something before explaining everything to you.”
Ryder stilled. “Confirm what?”
Kanue stood up and walked to a table at the side of the room. He picked up a black file and flipped it open. “The body you saw wasn’t our teacher.”
Ryder’s breath hitched. “What?”
Kanue turned the file around, revealing a picture clipped to the top. The image was grainy, but the face of the deceased was unmistakable—it wasn’t their teacher. The features were eerily similar, almost identical, but there was something subtly off.
“What… What does this mean?” Ryder muttered, eyes darting between the photo and Kanue.
Kanue’s expression darkened slightly. “It means our teacher was replaced.”
“Replaced? You mean like… a doppelganger?” Ryder’s mind was running wild.
“Close,” Kanue said. “The corpse you saw was a Salphuthrite in disguise.”
Ryder’s blood ran cold. The very word sent shivers down his spine. “You’re telling me… that thing was one of them?”
Kanue nodded. “The real question is—why? Why would a Salphuthrite take the form of our teacher, only to end up dead?”
Ryder swallowed. “Maybe it was trying to infiltrate the school?”
Kanue shook his head. “If infiltration was its goal, it failed horribly. No, there’s something else at play here.” He walked back toward Ryder, his cold gaze piercing. “And unfortunately, you’re now involved.”
Ryder flinched. “What the hell do you mean by that?”
Kanue crouched down, gripping Ryder’s chin roughly and forcing him to look him in the eyes. “You saw something you weren’t supposed to see. You reacted violently. And now, the organization behind the Salphuthrites might consider you a loose end.”
Ryder’s heart pounded. “You mean they’ll come after me?”
Kanue didn’t blink. “Most likely.”
Ryder’s body tensed. His breath became ragged. The reality of the situation was sinking in like a heavy weight pressing down on his chest. He wasn’t just a bystander in this anymore. He was a target.
Kanue stood up, adjusting his collar. “So, you have two options. You can continue panicking, getting in my way, and possibly getting yourself killed.” He turned slightly, looking over his shoulder. “Or, you can listen to me and learn how to survive.”
Ryder clenched his fists. His pride was screaming at him to fight back, to not take orders from someone who had just knocked him out and tied him up. But his survival instinct? It was telling him to listen.
He took a deep breath. “Fine. I’ll listen.”
Kanue gave the slightest nod. “Good. Because from this point forward, you’re in a war you never signed up for.”
[Meanwhile, in an Underground Facility]
A control room buzzed with activity. Multiple monitors displayed images from security cameras, news reports, and satellite feeds. A single figure sat in a large chair, watching a particular screen with interest.
The footage showed Kanue and Ryder inside the room. The audio was muted, but their body language told a story.
“So, the boy has been dragged into this,” the figure mused.
A second voice chimed in from the shadows. “Should we eliminate him?”
A smirk appeared on the figure’s face. “No. Let’s see how this plays out. If he proves to be useful, we can always recruit him.”
The second voice hesitated. “And if he isn’t?”
The figure leaned forward, their face illuminated by the cold glow of the monitors.
“Then he dies.”
