Volume 1. Chapter 28

The room was filled with an atmosphere of joy and laughter. The girls, gathered around Ken, couldn’t tear their eyes away from the screen of his phone, which was showing them a world full of wonders they had never seen before. Ken played one video after another - vivid cityscapes alternated with short, funny clips of animals. Each video brought a fresh wave of delight and giggles from the girls, especially Kiki, who kept excitedly commenting on everything happening on the screen.

“Oh, look!” Kiki practically jumped up, pointing at the screen where a kitten was spinning in circles, trying unsuccessfully to catch its own tail. “He probably thinks some other cat is teasing him!”

Ken laughed, and beside him, Julie let out a soft, restrained giggle. Her laughter was melodic and gentle. She tried not to be too loud, but it was clear how much she was enjoying what Ken was showing them. Her eyes sparkled with joy, and she even leaned in a little closer so she wouldn’t miss a thing.

“Julie, you’ve got to laugh louder!” Kiki exclaimed, winking at her younger sister. “You’re having fun too, right?”

Julie nodded shyly and lowered her gaze, but the smile on her face didn’t fade. She looked so genuinely happy that Ken couldn’t help but notice how much she was enjoying herself. He suddenly felt like doing something more for them - and then he remembered the biscuits and chocolate he had in his backpack. Carefully, he pulled them out and held them up for the girls to see.

“And now, ladies, a treat from my world!” he declared dramatically, offering them the goodies.

Kiki’s eyes lit up, and she immediately grabbed one of the biscuits, took a bite, and let out a delighted sigh.

“Oh wow, the flavor! This is the best thing I’ve ever tasted!” she exclaimed, absolutely thrilled.

Julie hesitantly picked up a piece of chocolate and took a small bite. She froze for a moment as the taste hit her, then her face lit up with a soft, joyful smile.

“This is so... so unusual,” she whispered, savoring every bite.
