Chapter 0:

A Whim

Evanescent: Butterfly Tale

I’m kinda just writing on a whim here.

My name is Greg Onami, which I know (specifically the first part) sounds like the most basic name ever, but bear in mind that my parents aren’t the best with nicknames.

Anyways, this is just an introductory chapter, so forgive me if my word choice comes off as pretentious (which knowing me, it probably will).

So, I guess I'll just start. This will be my last year in middle school, which begins in about a month, making me 12 years old (turning 13 in October). I live with my 2 sisters and parents in Los Angeles, in a town called Covina. It’s a pretty decent spot, since there’s a bit of variety in the “activities I can indulge myself in” or in English, I can do a lot of fun stuff around here. My favorite thing to do specifically, is go bowling (I also like going to the movies, but I like bowling a little bit more). Typically, I’d go with my friend Mark, but sometimes I just go with my little sister: Sara

Hmm...I’m trying to think of something else interesting to mention. Well, I attend Royal Oak middle school, which has a lot of uh..diverse races and ethnicities here, (mostly white and hispanic)  which I guess is fine (I know it wasn’t necessary, but I kinda wanted to give you an idea of the environment I’m in). Speaking of school actually, I hate it. All we do is sit in class all day and learn jack (slang for jackshit if you didn’t already know). Seriously, if I knew school was this trash from the beginning, I probably just would’ve said screw it and gone around the world to find my dad, even though he lives with me- you get my point!

Aside from that, there isn’t much else to say for this introductory portion. Thanks for listening to my little ramble for about a page and a half

Now that we got the boring stuff out of the way, it’s time for me to tell you the real story I wanted to get off my chest.
