Prologue: Just Another Night

The hustle and bustle of the city started to die down as the clock approached midnight. The residents of the city slowly retired to their homes for a good night's sleep, leaving the city a quiet, desolate landscape. As the clock ticked on, the stars in the sky shone brightly, giving the already quiet city an air of mysticism. However, even amongst all this silence was a boy who lay wide awake, a boy whose mind was unable to go to sleep.

In an apartment to the far side of the city, Kanashino Sora lay on his bed, the lights in his room staring vividly into his eyes. He couldn't sleep. No matter what he tried to do, no matter how much he tried to forget, no matter how hard he tried to cling on, no matter how much he tried to let go - sleep wouldn't come to him. It had long since slipped out of his grasp, after all.

However, that seemed to bring no change to Sora. He was no stranger to this phenomenon. It was just another night - same as always. Slowly, he picked his ragged self up from his bed. Making his way through the piles of clothes and other miscellaneous items lying on the floor, he moved closer to his room's door. And right as he turned off the lights, he opened the door and got out of his room. And just like that, unbeknownst to anyone, he wandered out into the night.

It was just another night, another night of going out to find an answer - to find what he had lost……
