In the summer of 1942, the battleship USS Castle was sunk by an Imperial Japanese Navy submarine in the deadly waters of the South Pacific. All hands onboard were presumed lost. But three days later, Marine sergeant Scotty Skultiere washed ashore on a forgotten beach in the Soloman Islands.
