The Abyss Warden towered over Ren—its molten hammer sparking with each breath it took. Its very presence warped the air, melting stone beneath its feet. Fire licked at its armor, and a second pair of eyes blinked open on its forehead.

“Your soul reeks of time distortion,” the Warden hissed. “You should not exist.”

Ren’s grip on Voidfang tightened. “Then try erasing me.”

With a roar that split the sky, the Warden lunged forward. Its hammer crashed down like a meteor.

BOOM!

The ground cratered. Shockwaves blasted through buildings. A fissure tore through the earth.

But Ren was gone.

Above—he descended like a thunderbolt, blade drawn mid-air.
