Chapter 1: Kuto~san is so cool

Kuto was an overachiever in class, a big one. She was in the spelling bee, and won 3 years in a row, she had a big group of friends and gets straight As. Kuto just got another A on her science class and Izumi(her best friend) was hyping her up. “Wow! My mom will kill me if she sees my grades, how do you do it Kuto?” Izumi asked. “Oh, I just go to study meets in the library after school,” Kuto said. 

“Great job Kuto!” The boy next to her, Haru said. “Thank you,” Kuto said, she put her science test back in her binder and took a sip from her pink water bottle. “Whew! It is hot today!” She said, sweating. “Maybe it’s because you are wearing a poofy jacket indoors?” Izumi suggested. “Yeah you are probably right,” Kuto said. After school, Izumi decided to take a different route to the gas station to get some chips which was the same way Kuto was walking. 

Hmmm, maybe she is going to the gas station too, Izumi thought, but what she saw was surprising. Kuto was meeting a bunch of kids who were behind the supermarket. “Hello Kuto, do you want me to steal some chips from the store?” On of the kids asked, he was looking suspicious, he had dark sunglasses and a leather jacket. “Yeah, and threaten the store owner while you do it,” Kuto said. Izumi ducked under a bush and eavesdropped. This was interesting… 

“Don’t you feel this is kind of amateur stuff, I mean come on, we are yakuza, we shouldn’t JUST be stealing chips!” A girl with platinum blonde hair said. 

“Hmm, you are right Hikaru, I was thinking of something, but I won’t announce it now,” Kuto said. 

“You can’t keep delaying things we need to do something, I am bored of just stealing useless things!” Hikaru said. Suddenly Kuto grabbed out a gun from her pocket, “you will do what I say,” she said menacingly. 

Hikaru looked scared and Izumi was too… 

Izumi was dashing home, super scared when she tripped on the side of the sidewalk and fell into a ditch. “Ouch!” Izumi yelled. 

“Oh, are you okay?” She heard Kuto’s voice ask. “Stay back!” Izumi said. “Calm down Izumi, it’s just me Kuto,” Kuto said. 

“Oh, yeah, I am,” Izumi said.  She then stood up and quickly ran out of the ditch. “Bye Izumi!” Kuto said, a little too cheerfully. 

“Bye Kuto!” Izumi said, running back to her home quickly.
