Chapter 0:
InTelekinetic
This is a world where anyone can use telekinesis — but only with the right guidance.
The Academy is the only place that teaches advanced telekinesis to common people. Those who are selected through its admission test are granted the privilege to study there.
The Academy never truly reveals what advanced telekinesis actually means. Most people assume it’s just a more refined form of the usual — like lifting heavier objects or improving control. That’s because the Academy only showcases such abilities during the annual Telekinetic Showcase Day, held to attract people to enroll and learn telekinesis.
Siddharth, a quiet and introverted 10-year-old boy, lived in a small town — neither rich nor poor. He always obeyed his elders, attended a traditional, old-style school in his town, and didn’t have a single friend.
Then, for the first time, the Academy revealed what it had always kept hidden.
What might have caused this sudden change?
Siddharth had watched the Telekinetic Showcase a few times when he was younger, but quickly grew bored of it — nothing ever seemed new. He wasn’t alone. People across the towns had started to lose interest, as the showcases became repetitive, with only minor innovations each year.
Though elders still allowed children to watch, a common belief had begun to spread — that the admission test only brought suffering to those who passed it.
But Siddharth's parents were different. They strictly forbade him from even considering the test. He never really understood why, but since the show bored him anyway, he obeyed without question. Instead of watching the showcase, he’d stay home and enjoy time by himself.
But this year… something changed.
His class teacher, Ms. Dhwani, convinced both Siddharth and his parents to attend. Rumors had started circulating — this year’s showcase would be unlike anything seen before.
