Chapter 3:
Hypno
The next day, Sam woke up, got dressed and took the glasses and the probing cane to go to the police station as it was gonna be 10 a.m. Just then Rebecca asked Sam.

Rebecca : Hey, why are you even wearing those glasses and carrying around that probing cane?
Sam : Because my eyes are black and white spirals. I haven't reached my full potential. I haven't mastered turning my eyes into normal.
Rebecca : Ok I get it but those are just black sunglasses which you can see through, right?
Sam : Nope, these are actually the blind glasses. You can't see through.
Rebecca : Wait hold on, why?
Sam : Because I wanted a realistic feel to it. And even if I wore sunglasses the cop could easily see me.
Rebecca : Must be hard to walk around blindly.
Sam : Like you care, you mastered to turn your spiral eyes to normal turn it back whenever you want.
Rebecca : What, you jealous?
Sam : Forget it, I will be late. See you at night.

Rebecca was eating food during the conversation. After Sam left, Rebecca went upstairs to Andrew. She opened his room. Andrew simply sitting on a wheelchair in the middle of the room with no eyes.

Rebecca : What do you think? Should I follow him?
Andrew : Not yet. I don't think he will be in danger anytime soon.
Rebecca : You can look through his eyes, right? Tell me what you see.
Andrew : He is heading to the police station.
Rebecca : (why is he having another conversation with her, just kill her already) I think its better if I follow him. Just in case.
Andrew : As you wish but don't make yourself suspicious. Then you will be the target not him.
Rebecca : Fine sure.

Rebecca goes to the police station. There was an apartment just across the street she stood there looking at him. She didn't need to worry about suspicions since Sam is blind. And then Charlotte came to him and started a conversation. (Note: In case you haven't understood, Sam is the blind man.)

Charlotte : I don't think we introduced ourselves during our last conversation. I am Charlotte.
Sam : Oh my name is... (damn I didn't prepare one, got to say a fake name) Benjamin.
Charlotte : That took a while.
Sam : Where do you live?
Charlotte : Well I am not going to answer that security reasons.
Sam : Makes sense.
Charlotte : So you have nobody taking care of you?
Sam : No.
Charlotte : There might be a place where all blind people hang out.
Sam : No need, I can take care of myself.
Charlotte : Okay.
Sam : Are you married? Do you have a family?
Charlotte : Well, I was. I am divorced.
Sam : Oh.
Charlotte : Well I got to go early. Can't talk much today. Goodbye.
Sam : Goodbye.

Just when Charlotte left, Sam started thinking 'Maybe I should follow her home because she won't be telling where her home is anytime now.' At 10 p.m. just when he was leaving, he moved his glasses slightly up to see if there is any nearby alley. And there was. A 5-minute walk. He went to the alley and stood there. Removed the glasses and put it in his pocket and saw Charlotte in the police station. Sam kept looking till she left and went home so he can follow her and find her home. Charlotte left the police station and was going home. Sam had some cigarettes with him. Charlotte went walking home. She was coming close to the alley so Sam started taking one of the cigarettes and started smoking to act like a street thug. Charlotte looked and didn't care and went forward. Sam noticed that she went on so he threw the cigarette and saw her going. Sam decided to follow her if she took a turn. But she did not took a turn. She went to an apartment. Sam didn't had to follow her since the apartment was seen within sight and there were no turns required to reach that apartment from the police station. Its just straight forward. Charlotte went in and Sam went near the apartment to have a closer look. Sam recognized the apartment because it was famous for its security and it is a place for rich people of course. Sam went back home with his probing cane and glasses with a smile on his face.

Sam : Now that I know her location, I need to know how the security works there and then the game will begin.

While walking, Sam saw a person sitting on the street asking for money. Sam smiled and gave him 10 rupees. Sam bent down and held the person's face against his face and whispered something. After that, Sam reached home and sees Rebecca sitting on the dining table.

Rebecca : Didn't know that you used to smoke.
Sam : Wait what?
Rebecca : Your cigarettes are a little outside of your pocket. Anyone could notice it.
Sam : Oh no (I should have thrown the pack of cigarettes in the alley instead I just threw the cigarette I smoked and forgot to throw the whole packet.)
Rebecca : Don't worry, give me those. I won't tell anyone.
Sam : Why? You smoke?
Rebecca : Keep it as our little secret.

Sam threw the cigarettes to her and she kept it in her pocket.

Rebecca : So how long are you just going to talk with her.
Sam : Patience is the key to success. I found where she lives. The next day would be my final day.
Rebecca : Did you buy these cigarettes while you were shopping for the probing cane and glasses?
Sam : Yeah. I didn't show you this because everyone would be serious if they found I brought cigarettes here. By the way, where is mom?
Rebecca : She is sleeping upstairs in dad's room obviously.
Sam : Okay. I am going to sleep now. You do whatever you want.
Rebecca : I will just go outside and smoke some and come.
Sam : Okay, goodbye.

Rebecca goes outside to smoke and thinks about Sam. 'What if Sam's game is actually interesting. What if I join the game secretly and go against him and protect the cop. Now that would be interesting. But I'll have to wait for it. I want him to do something first, something interesting. And if he is actually able to outsmart the cop then I will join. But I don't know what he is going to do, I don't know his plan. Great. I think I will have to wait for the right moment and keep spying on him so I can also know something about the cop and wait for the right moment.' She smiles and throws the cigarette she was smoking and the whole pack away and goes to sleep.
