Chapter 0:

Prologue

The Apocalypse Can Wait For Me Until I've Got A Girlfriend — I Was Just Some Unlucky Guy But I’m Now Gonna Date Some Elf Queen From Another World!

CLICK CLICK CLICK.... SSHHH... BLAM!!!

"LIEUTENANT TAKEDA!!!"

The scream from one of my squadron members echoed in my ear as I fell into the trap set by the enemy—a minefield undetected by others but me as the squad's leader.

We had won the war, but what costed more for me was far from that—my leg bleeding.

The enemy forces had been crushed, their tanks destroyed. The mission was supposed to be a simple area infilitration operation. But of course, nothing ever went smoothly for me.

I had the world on its knees, but my luck made sure I couldn’t even enjoy a single victory by hurting myself if not getting into some terrible situations. And today, the price was my knee.

This time, it was a landmine that wasn’t even supposed to be there. I’d cleared the area earlier myself. But my luck always had the most ridiculous way of worsening things up. The moment I stepped onto the field, the ground beneath me gave way, sending me into a deadly trap.

“Takeda, respond!”

The commander's voice crackled in my ear, but my radio was dead.

I tried to climb out, but the enemy who previously retreated was suddenly approaching.

I had just led the charge, secured victory for the entire squadron, and here I was—stuck in a hole, with enemy soldiers on the way. This was my luck, plain and simple.

I managed to escape, but my body was covered in dirt and bruises, barely losing my knee.

I got sent to hospital for further medical treatment, my squadron was still in a state of panic.

And then, as if things weren’t strange enough, the world would change forever.

The next day, the news was everywhere. The climate was in chaos, and humanity was staring down an inevitable apocalypse—a year left, tops. Floods, storms, fires—nothing could stop it.

But the world wasn’t focused on the disaster for long.

Out of nowhere, the TV screens blinked rapidly into static transmission.

Then, an Elf appeared, standing tall and radiant, the glow of her presence was undeniable with her attire and ornament that seemed to symbolize something divine.

“Dear, people on the earth. I am Cienna Aelindor, Queen of the Elves.”

She said, her voice was calm but firm.

“And this man, Haruto Takeda, is the Fated One.”

I froze, in disbelief of what just happened.

“Takeda is the only one who can save your world,”

She continued, her eyes locking into the camera.

“His luck has always been a path to victory. And he will be the key to saving this world.”

The world erupted in confusion.

People shouted, argued, called it a hoax. Some even wanted

But there she was, the Queen from another world, declaring me—Yes, me—as the one who could prevent the impending apocalypse.

I had won the war, but thanks to my terrible luck today, I had lost the battle.

And now, it seemed, I was somehow the only hope for the entire planet.
