Chapter 4:

Chapter 4: runaway

The end is now

“Fine, whatever Hinata,” Wei said, going back to his animal crossing. “No!” Hinata said, snatching his nintendo switch from him.

“Hey, what was that for?” Wei asked, “If you want it back, you need to be nicer to everyone here!” Hinata said in exasperation.

Wei glared at him, I slowly stepped away from the two, not wanting to interfere in their feud. I then realized the food was burning! While Hinata was arguing with Wei, the food was past it’s time.

I put on some cooking gloves with strawberries on them and pulled a baking tray out of the oven.

“Noooo!!!!” Hinata said, he dashed over to me and looked sad. “I made those to celebrate your arrival!” He said. “Chill out. They are just cupcakes, why are you making such a big deal of Kiko arriving?” Wei asked.

“Wei,SHUT UP!!!!! You don’t know what love even feels like, all you do is sit around and play video games and yell at anyone who tries to be nice to you,” Hinata said, before dashing out the door.

“H-hinata?” I mumbled. “God, that kid makes me mad! Thinks he is super special for making cupcakes for some newbie,” Wei muttered under his breath.

“Hinata come back!” I said. “What happened?” I heard Hitori ask, she was coming downstairs. I felt nervous immediately.

“Uhhh, Wei and Hinata had a fight and Hinata ran…out?” I weakly explained.

“Ugh, this keeps happening. Kiko, you search for him, he can’t have gone far,” Hitori said.

“Okay, Hitori~san,” I said, trying to be as polite as possible. I then walked outside to search for Hinata.

I walked around the house and was thinking as I paced. What did Hinata mean by “you don’t know what love feels like,” does he….? No, that must have been a mistake, I thought.

I then went to the garden and saw him leaning on the fence. “Ummm, I am sorry! I never should have annoyed Wei,” I said. “It’s not your fault, he treats everyone that way. And I was dramatic, I shouldn’t have screamed and ran like that,” Hinata said.

“Anyway, do you want to bake some cupcakes?” I asked him. He looked at me as though I asked him to go to a beach with me.

“Of course!” He said eagerly.

We went back to the house and started baking immediately. We cracked eggs in a bowl and poured milk and boxed cake mix, we then turned this mixture into a batter which we poured into a baking tray and baked in the oven for 30 minutes.

We went to the living room and I saw Hitori. “Thank you for finding Hinata!” Hitori told me brightly, she seemed friendlier than the Hitori that chided Ai about fashion choices.
