Heart to heart

When I woke up I didn’t see Evelyn again, I opened the door quickly and I saw her in a vending machine, I sigh and approach her.

“I thought you disappeared again, don’t scare me like that”

“I will not run away, Azura, do not worry”

“What are you looking at?”

“That pink box looks cute”

I introduce some coins into the machine and press the numbers, after that a sound of something that fell was heard

“It’s strawberry milk, here”

I pick up the milk and gave it to Evelyn, she then drank it and smile with a lot of joy

“This is very sweet~”

I laughed and we went back to the room, ordering some salad and some nuggets. After eating we went outside and we started going back to the house.

“This place sure is beautiful, Azura, it scares me a little for how the structures and how many people they are but there’s a ton if good people”

“Yeah… Evelyn, you were right, the outside really doesn’t scare me, I was anxious at first when I started going out in the nights, but being inside the house scare me the most”

“For your parents, right?”

“Yeah, part of me carries with guilt, I know I shouldn’t but I… I know the accident wasn’t my fault and I don’t want to die… it is something… I don’t understand… Maybe that is why I didn’t let myself swallow in my whole misery, but now I am embarrassed at the thought of my parents seeing me like this…”

Evelyn rested her head in my head and close her eyes

“But you are trying to change, right? Not for me, but for yourself too”

“I guess… yeah… yeah, you are right”

“Then that is enough…”

We kept going ahead and we stopped at a convenience store, picking up onigiris, bottle up tea, and some snacks.

In the road, Evelyn was pointing at the things that caught her attention, parks, structures, people, stores.

“You didn’t notice them when you went out?”

“I did but, I was just focus on going to that place”

“Sorry for doing all that without telling you again, I wanted to gain strength without your bothering you and I think I also thought I was depending to much on you”

“You already apologize a lot of times, I comprehend, I also overreacted and for that I apologize…”

“We are going to keep apologizing to each other, don’t we?”

“That is what it seems”

We both laughed and kept on tracking, we arrived at the house at night and we both threw ourselves in our respective beds.

“My feet are tired…”

“It really was a long journey”

“You think we can wait for a bit? We will to that place in no more than past a week”

“It is okay, rest what you need, I will wait for you”

I smiled and I saw the confident smile of Evelyn, she was determined now, I will keep my promise to her no matter what. I stood up and went to the bathroom, and when I was done with filling up the tub I went to the room.

“You can go first Evelyn”

“Oh, thank you, I already prepare a change for you too, I will not take that long”

“Sure, enjoy yourself”

“Thank you”

Evelyn went to the bathroom while I lay down in the bed, I was fighting myself in no trying to sleep and after a few minutes she showed up

“Wake up, Azura, you need to take a bath”

“Mmmh~”

I mumbled while I was standing up with my eyes half open, I walked slowly to the bathroom while Evelyn was guiding me.

When I reached the bathroom, I sighed and thanked Evelyn while I was closing the door. I was taking such a lazy bath since the water was just in the perfect warm that it seemed that it didn’t touch me.

It was at the moment when I fell a few seconds sleep that a breeze of cool air hit my body that I kind of woke up.

I threw myself into the tub and after a few minutes I finished my bath, going to the bedroom while Evelyn was in her pajamas, having a couple of warm milk with some cookies.

We eat them and drink the milk and we brush our teeth after a bit, I was about to just let my body fall into the futon on the ground when I felt Evelyn pulling out my shirt.

“Evelyn?”

“I-I know that it would be so much to ask but… can you sleep with me?”

“Yeah, sure…”

I went into the bed with Evelyn and she hugged me, having my face in her chest, it took just a few minutes to process what was happening but I didn’t let that bother me.

I was red as a tomato and my more impure thoughts came to light, but the feeling of warmth and the hug from Evelyn made me forget everything, I didn’t want to break such a cute gesture just for a stupid act, not right.

So I just close my eyes, shut my mouth and brain and sleep peacefully with my arms around Evelyn

When we woke up, we were looking into each other’s eyes, we cuddled for a bit and I said.

“Why did you want to do this?”
“I was feeling a bit down, sorry… My little brothers and little sisters come to me when they are feeling scared and hugging them makes me relax too… but this… I do not know, I feel really embarrassed but, I do not want to let you go…”

“I’m not going anywhere, you know?”

“I know… maybe… it is me the one that is holding on to you to not run away…”

“I am here…”

“Thank you, Azura…”

We held each other for a couple of minutes more until Evelyn's stomach started to roar, she giggled and we let go of each other to start our day.

I was curious to look into the site where I post if there was information, and they were only talking about the photo itself, nothing more about more information but they were trying to reach the guy.

Unfortunately, only he knew about that place and he was keeping the secret, I didn’t ask him to keep anything secret but that’s how the people in that site works. Now he will have his fame for a while and I will disappear like no other.

“I’m glad that this place is anonymous”

“You mean the place where people send you information?”

Evelyn had two cups of coffee with her along with a piece of bread with butter and sugar.

“Oh, that smells delicious… and yeah”

“Why not make yourself public?”

“Oh, I don’t want them to know me, none was, is like having a wanted poster”

“Really?”

“Yeah, just that nobody is going to try killing you, but is awkward and well, there’s a ton of people in the world, who knows what they will do”

“I comprehend”

“Anyway, how about if we start preparing for the trip? Knowing what to bring and how to be able to go”

“We can wait, you know…”

“No, you can fool me this time, Ev, we are going to go there”

“E-Ev?”

“Yeah, it's a little nickname, you like it?”

“It is a bit strange, but… I think I would get used to it if only you use it”

Evelyn smiled at me and I couldn’t help to get red, laughing nervously and showing her around.

“A map that you can move?!”

“Yes, we can see a lot of things in here, knowing how much it would take us… according to this is a two days trip, it is a bit far away, we could rest in inns and grab food wherever we like, we have the money, so nothing requiring that should worry us”

“What about that part with the little man?”

“Oh, that is that sign means that we would need to walk, we would need to entered the forest and find the place that this guy mentioned”

“Can you handle it?

“I think I could, but even if I get tired you can carry me around”

“Only if you get exhausted you know?”

Evelyn puffed her chicks and grasp gently her chick while saying that

“Eh?”

What’s with that reaction, is so cute! Wait, she didn’t really mean it, right?

“E-Ev”

“Yes?”

“I’m just joking, you know?”

Evelyn made a short jump just for his face to be completely red, I couldn’t help but laugh. She looked adorable and she hit me, but this time it was not for playing, I could feel my forehead numb as I was still laughing.

“Idiot…”

Evelyn apologized after a few minutes and we continue in planning our trip, my feet were killing me but I should probably be good in two or three days, whoever thought that I would planning in doing a trip, I was just hoping that my parents saw me right now
