Royal Magi Arc pt 1

The sparring match was about to start. "Hey man watch out Taizan is quite strong!" Said Teriyaki he pat me on the back. I went to the fighting ring ready to fight the battle. Taizan stood against me as the match began. I ran but something felt off suddenly my run went slow as I looked up I looked directly in the eye of the fox I couldn't move. I saw spirals around the body of Taizan. The sky became red as all I could see was the white surrounding of the eyes and the red and white spiral of an eye is was trapped and couldn't move. Taizan moved closer and closer. One small punch that's all he did and I fell over and lost. Teriyaki seemed to try to comfort me I found out his full name was Kadan Teriyaki seemed he was an monk as well. 
"Well were going to have an tournament in the next 3 months if you can enroll in our army and earn your magi you might be able to get back at Taizan" Teriyaki said "alright I'll enroll then" I said. I did just that and now I was in Alpha company. Taizan and Teriyaki were both in this forces alongside some others. Taizan, Teriyaki, and I were all set in an dorm together since. Taizan looked at me disrespectfully "I expected more from you!" Taizan said. I look down "Don't you think I did too" I said as I started tearing up "I'm able to kill some stupid demon lord yet I cannot defeat some magi all the pain I've suffered is it really for nothing?" Taizan grabbed my shoulder "Hey man I'm sorry didn't mean to take it that far just trying to act cool" Said Taizan. "Yeah your with us now we will teach you how to get an magi" said Teriyaki. "your not bullshitting me right?" I asked "Yeah even Teriyaki has one  not impressive though" Said Taizan."Shut up Taizan bastard" Teriyaki said. "You want to go!" Said Taizan.  I wiped my tears "Lets be best of friends" I said. "Alright man but don't get to buddy buddy" Taizan said. "Hell yeah" Said Teriyaki. Teriyaki slapped my hand and then jumped on my back like an hype man would. I started laughing mom, dad life feels kind of decent now i like being an army man it feels nice. Knock! Knock! the door was banging I turned the doorknob it was General Death eyes dark and dead. "mission for the trio an landmine gig so be careful or you might be at death's boot" General Death said. "If you live I'll teach you magi myself good day!" Said General he raised his arm saluting I then raised mine he dropped his salute I dropped mine and he excused himself. "What's an landmine gig?" I asked "Oh buddy" Said Teriyaki as he face palmed "it's serious don't screw it up!" Taizan said "I still have no clue what it is" I said "It's easy we use metal detectors to try to scout ahead for mines or metal that could be traps" Said Teriyaki. From killing demon lords to finding mines it's an interesting change. The outdoors was hot almost scorching the metal detector went straight off when I hovered it off the field. We got an far enough distance in the air and dropped something on the landmine. The landmine had exploded as the metal of the landmine detached it flew into the other landmines sitting right next to each other. An huge chunk of metal flew up and hit me it knocked me unconscious for an second as I started to fall of I grabbed onto the side of the helicopter my feet dangled nothing under as I tried to swing myself back on it didn't work. My fingers started to slip Teriyaki held out his hand as I launched myself up he grabbed my hand and pulled me up Taizan held on Teriyaki and I got pulled back on. Machine gun started to fire it was some guy who was  trying to kill us he's probably from some gang. Taizan used Fox eye to dodge the bullets. I grabbed an gun and in slow motion I shot it as I got a perfect angle from Taizan shoulder. Direct hit Taizan turned off Fox eye and the helicopter returned to the corps.
