About the characters

I just wanted to add this to talk about the characters since there is not much description in the novel

Kiko- Kiko is a 14 year old girl at the beginning of the book and 19 at the end! Kiko has brown hair and wears glasses, she likes to dress casually and usually prefers to keep to herself. 

Ai(Not kiko’s daughter) Ai is a perky 15 year old girl who is the polar opposite of Kiko! She likes wearing cute dresses and is obsessed with shojo manga and kittens. She has blonde long hair and blue, ocean colored eyes. 

Hinata- A friendly 15 year old boy who has a big crush on Kiko! He is 20 by the end of the book. He has brown messy hair and green eyes. He usually wears clothes that he doesn’t mind getting dirty, since he does gardening and soil gets on his clothes often. He gets married to Kiko by the end of the book. 

Miyoko- Miyoko has black hair with a streak of bright purple in it, she is only 12 at the beginning of the book but despite her young age, she is very knowledgeable and smart. She loves wearing comfy clothes like sweaters and jeans. She is usually cold to people she doesn’t know well but warms up to them over time. 

Wei- Wei is a 13 year old Ipad kid with black hair and amber colored eyes, nobody knows how his eye color is like that but his friends joke that it’s because he is on screens all the time. By the end of the book, he is 18! He usually wears whatever is in his closet and doesn’t care much about fashion sense. 

Hitori- The leader of the group of survivors, Hitori seems like a normal nice 23 year old woman when you first meet her but you can quickly notice something is not quite right with her. Her smile looks fake and plastered on and she seems to get ticked about the smallest things! She has blonde hair and usually wears jeans and a black tank top when you meet her. 

Karina- A unknown character, Karina is quite mysterious and usually wears a hoodie that covers her hair, Karina is known to be evil though, although it is not as obvious as Hitori. 

Kira (kiko’s daughter) - Kira is playful and cute but often gets into trouble because she doesn’t know any better. She has brown hair and green eyes like Hinata. 

Ai (kiko’s daughter)- Ai is similar to Kira but older, she speaks better japanese and is more mature in serious situations. She loves wearing the color pink and Miyoko crochets most of what she wears. She loves anime and gardening with her dad.
