Taking our awkward interaction, or the lack thereof aside, the store got busy around lunchtime. I had to restock the packed lunch and hotdog sections a few times since they’ve been selling like hotcakes. Moreover, why are people here too lazy? It’s supposed to be self-service. Why do they keep asking me, a busy woman, to get hotdogs for them? They’re forming a queue in front of the steamer box. I know I work here, but I am genuinely wondering what’s up with these highly marked-up hotdogs and buns that they’re willing to wait in queue for one.

And this guy… He already got one earlier, or I got one for him, and now he wants me to hand him another? Why didn’t he just ask for two hotdogs before!? And after another guy asked me to fill his cup with a shushie for him, everyone followed suit. No, I’m neither your maid nor babysitter. Are you kids? Some of you look like in your 30s, for goodness’ sake! I’m glad that I had experience in the service industry in my past life, but these guys still give me a headache. It’s already 1 PM. How long are these guys going for a hotdog and meat bun purchase loop? Well, this at least means business is booming. I hope Miss Leila won’t blame me for being busy with the cashier since this isn’t really my fault. Or is it?

I went to the manager to bid farewell after my shift ended at 2 PM, then to Miss Leila as well. She just gave me the same mysterious look before nodding back. I wrapped up the broadcast after a few more minutes of chatting with the viewers. It might have taken an unexpected turn to an impromptu singing broadcast but it should be fine occasionally. That’s what I thought to myself as I checked today’s donations that exceeded $60. I feel a little bad for those who sent donations for song requests but didn’t make the cut but that’s just how it goes. I made almost two weeks’ worth of my salary in just a day, or a few hours to be exact. My channel just started but things are going well right now, which warms my heart. It warms my online wallet as well.

It wouldn’t be until a couple of days later that I’d stumble upon a few clips of my singing stream on another platform.
