Six weeks later…

Sanyoonoda City, Yamaguchi.

After we restocked our food, we ventured further into a desolate neighborhood filled with ruined houses. Roots have sprouted all over the area, some pushing through the cracks of the road and sidewalks. Trees have fallen on top of these buildings, causing damage that ranges from a light scratch to a direct hit that leads to the complete destruction of the building.

Yet despite that, one plaguing issue has been going on for a while…

One that I was able to endure for a month and a half, but it has reached a point where it’s starting to bother me…

I haven’t touched myself!

There’s been so much going on that I’ve never had any time to do it!

And even if there’s time to, Alice would always be next to me, making it way more difficult to get it over with!

“W-What’s wrong,Yuiko?” Alice looks back with a concerned look.

“S-Sorry, it’s nothing…” I avoid my gaze from her.

“…Are you sure?” Alice stops midway to look at me.

“It’s none of your business, so don’t worry about it…” I replied, keeping my gaze down as I continue onward.

“…The hell is wrong with her?” Alice snorts out.

“Tch…”

It’s all because of you, you know…

If you just keep yourself away for a bit, then I could touch myself and feel good…

“I heard that!” Alice shouts from the back.

“Well, I’m glad! I was just testing out your listening skills!” I shouted.

“Seriously, what is wrong with you?!” Alice stomps on her feet.

“I said it’s nothing, didn’t I!”

*CLANG*

Without realizing it, I smacked my hand onto the metal wall next to me, letting out a loud echoing noise throughout the surrounding area.

Snapping me back to reality,

“…”

“N-No… I didn’t mean to—”

“You younglings are so loud, aren’t cha?”

“…?”

I turn my head around, where there’s a three-way road in-between multiple different houses, and from the left corner, there appears a tall, elderly man standing in the distance. While his face are filled with wrinkles, there’s still a fierce gaze coming from his eyes, peering through us from it.

“You two can fight all you want, but can you please not fight around our neighborhood? You’re scaring other people, you know?” The elderly says.

“W-We’re sorry about that…” Alice walks forward and bowed, “You too!” As she said so, she forcibly pushed my upper body downward.

“No need to be pushy about it!” I retort, yet letting her lead me on.

“If that’s the case, then all is well…” The elderly lightly bowed as he starts walking away.

“W-Wait!” Alice jogs forward, stretching her hand out.

“…?” The elderly pauses, looking back with a curious look.

“Uhh… the truth is we haven’t seen anyone over the past few months…” Alice says.

“…And?” The elderly tilts their head.

“And… uhh…” Alice retracts her hand, but she clenched it down and continued, “We’re actually curious on how everyone else is doing, so if it’s okay for you…”

“…”

“Can we visit your neighborhood?” Alice resolutely asks.

“…”

After following the elderly for a while, we arrived at a large park that have different stalls that are offering food and multiple families sitting down on the grass, enjoying the food as they happily chatter about.

At the center of the park, there’s a large fountain that has completely dried up, but there are tons of middle-aged adults surrounding it with giant bags of supplies, ranging from water bottles, canned foods, and some rice that they were able to precure in large quantity.

“…How were you all able to get this much food?” Alice asks the elderly that guided us.

“We set up a small farm in the far distance of the park, since the soil in this area is actually not terrible to create some food…” The elderly smiled.

“Is this some kind of video game?” I blurted out on accident.

“Grandpa!” A man seemingly in his mid-twenties comes up from behind him. “Are you planning on letting these two in our camp?”

“…”

A young man…

“They’re the ones that invited themselves over, not me Yuusuke…” The elderly placed his hands on his hips.

“…”

Yuusuke…

A young man that has a stylish silver hair, wearing a collared shirt over a brown knitted sweater, followed with a black, baggy pants…

“Ohh… my bad…” Yuusuke scratches his neck. He looks over to Alice and stretched his hand out, “It’s nice to meet you! My name is Yuusuke.” He says with a bright smile.

“…!”

What a dazzling smile!

Oh crap!

He might be the one!

“I’m Alice. It’s nice to meet you.” Alice grabbed onto his hand, firmly shaking it.

“Kghh…!”

I can’t believe you were able to touch his hands first!

I wanted to be first!

“…A-And what about you, miss?” Yuusuke stretched his hand out to me.

“I-I-I’m Yuiko!” I quickly grabbed onto his hand, making him jump for a second, “It’s nice to meet you!”

“…Yeah. It’s nice to meet you too!” Yuusuke says, letting out an angelic smile.

“…”

Crap!

It’s him!

He’s the one!

I’m gonna lose my virginity to him!

No matter what!

“Anyway, I’m sorry for intruding on you all like this…” Alice lightly bows down, “We’re actually running low on supplies, and I’m wondering if you guys can provide us a little bit of your stock…”

“Hmm…” Yuusuke placed his hand on his chin, “For now, let’s hear out what you need…”

“Let’s see…”

Alice listed off all of the supplies we’re out of, which mainly consist of food materials and medicines. We’re out of other things, but the most important ones are those two for now.

“If it’s that much, then we can lend you some of our food supplies…” Yuusuke says while rubbing his chin.

“…! Then—”

“But, I do have a condition.” Yuusuke points his finger up, cutting Alice off. “I want you two to help us out for today, and we’ll reward you once everything is settled…”

“If that’s all you need, then you can use us as much as you want!” Alice flexes her arm.

“If that’s the case, I would like to split the work into two,” Yuusuke points towards Alice and continues, “Ms. Alice, I need you to help me distribute all the rations to the kids. Ms. Yuiko, I need you to come with me to carry the children’s rations.”

“O-Okay!” I yelped out.

“Alright, but what should I do while I wait for you guys to be done?” Alice placed her hands on her hips.

“You can try getting closer to them!” Yuusuke enthusiastically smiled, “You seem like someone who can talk to kids, so I’ll leave things to you!” Yuusuke gave a thumbs up.

“Well, uhh… I actually don’t know how to—”

“It’s fine, it’s fine!” Yuusuke proclaims, “If you can’t talk to them, you can just stay quiet as well…”

“I guess…” Alice’s shoulders slumped.

“Ms. Yuiko, let’s go get our bentos.” Yuusuke smiled.

“O-Okay!”

As I said so, both of us started walking in unison, leaving Alice behind.
