The awakening

I feel... Nothing. It doesn't hurt. I don't feel weak. I don't feel... Anything for now except the pressure of the hospital bed on my back. I slowly open my eyes. I can see. I can hear. My hands, I look down and see... "AHHHHHHHH" 

Doctors come rushing into the room, cameramen not far behind. "WHAT AM I?!" I ask, staring down at metallic hands I can somehow still feel from. My voice is different, I sound human but... something is off. Am I still me? 

"The procedure was a success, you are officially the first cybernetic human" the doctor seems so proud to announce that. The news reports go wild, figures they would considering how many angles they live streamed my awakening from. At least six cameras were set up all around the room. "Guess I'm famous now" I sigh deeply. 

"I can feel my hands, they feel weird" I say, opening and closing my robotic hands. "Yes we still need to calibrate the intensity of different sensations to more realistically simulate human touch and feeling. For now you may experience dull pressure, but you won't be able to feel temperature or body heat or such things. We'll work to fix that" the doctor responds, typing something on his computer.
