Chapter 28:

Preparation to set off on the first mission

Final Chapter

“What happened in your inner world? Spit it out,” Hannah said casually.

Hanz, hearing this, looked shocked.

“How do you...?” he started, but Hannah just smiled and said,

“I’m a Celestial. I can read people’s minds if I want to. But even without that, you’ve been distant ever since you came back.”

Hanz let out a sigh.

“Well... while I was in my inner world, I fought with my inner demon. During the clash, our kantar collided, and apparently, that triggered a hidden memory. And...”

He trailed off, struggling to explain.

Hannah leaned forward, looking curious.

“Go on.”

But no matter how hard Hanz tried, the words just wouldn’t come out right.

Hannah sighed, then stared deep into his eyes, slipping into his memories for a moment.

When she pulled back, she whistled softly.

“Wow. That’s deep. So you have a twin brother, huh? From what I saw, this probably happened near the end of the demons’ war against the Celestials.”

She plopped down onto the grass and added,

“As for why your demon looks like you, maybe it’s just a coincidence. Or maybe it’s because you and your demon are basically two sides of the same coin. But more importantly—do you want to find your brother?”

Hanz blinked in surprise, then gave a firm nod.

Hannah grinned.

“Alright then. First mission settled. But we’re not jumping into it right away. I was actually planning to help you master your kantar technique before any real battles started. Guess we’ll have to adjust a bit.”

She laughed.

“For now, I’ll teach you some watered-down techniques I picked up over the years.”

Hanz’s face tightened a little.

“What if the demon tries to mess with the training?” he asked.

Hannah chuckled.

“No worries. From what I picked up when I read your mind, it’s just as curious about your brother as you are. After all, your twin will have an inner demon too—and that demon would basically be your demon’s brother.”

Hearing that, Hanz relaxed a little and smiled.

“Alright then. Let’s do this!”
