Chapter 3:
About her👍
Fairest sun, that doth illume my day,
Thou art the radiant beam, that chases all despair away.
Thy lovely light, doth shine so bright and bold,
And in thine eyes, my heart doth find its treasure to behold.
I, poor moon, do borrow light from thee,
And in thy splendor, my own dullness I do see.
Yet, though I glow, with reflected light,
I know, fair sun, that I am but a faint delight.
Our orbits, different, in celestial design,
Do bind us to our paths, in separate, heavenly line.
And though I bask, in thy resplendent glow,
I know, dear sun, that our conjunction cannot forever grow.
For when I'm full, thou art in eclipse, they say,
And when thou shinest bright, I wane away.
Thus, our love's fate, in cosmic harmony,
Doth dictate our parting, in sweet melancholy.
Yet still, fair sun, I'll cherish every moment's gleam,
And in thy light, my heart shall forever beam.
