Chapter 7: "The Darkest Night, The Brightest Vow"

Mina (crossing her arms, looking a bit worried): "Hmm... Kai’s taking a lot longer than expected."

Yuki (half-joking, half-worried): "You don’t think he’s... dead, right?"

Kaoe (firmly): "No way. Kai’s tougher than he looks. He has to come back."

Just as their worries started to grow heavier, a swirling portal suddenly appeared right in front of them, crackling faintly with energy. Everyone instinctively stepped back, eyes wide with anticipation.

From within the portal, a figure slowly emerged it was Kai.

His clothes were torn and caked in mud, scratches covered his body, and yet, despite looking completely beat up, there was a wide, confident grin on his face.

But what truly caught everyone's eyes was the massive sword he was holding in his right hand  it glowed faintly, almost as if it had a heartbeat of its own, pulsing with Kai's new power.

Kai : "Guess who's back?"

Mina (running up to him): "You idiot! You look like you just fought an army!"

Yuki (smiling with relief): "Welcome back, Master..."

Kaoe and Toie : "You really pulled it off, huh?"

Kai (nodding, still catching his breath): "Yeah... and this" (he lifts the sword slightly) "is just the beginning."

The group shared a quiet moment, feeling the shift  something inside Kai had changed.

The real fight was about to begin.

As they were catching their breath, Mina suddenly turned serious, her eyes sharp like never before.

Mina: "Kai... now listen carefully."

Kai (blinking, confused): "Huh? What's up?"

Mina (stepping closer): "Every living being possesses a life energy... It's called Atra. And you" she pointed at him, "you've just surpassed the fifth and final stage of Atra."

Kai (wide-eyed): "Wait... so that means I'm super strong now?!"

Mina (smirking slightly): "It’s not that simple. Surpassing Atra was just the beginning."

Kai (baffled): "The beginning?!"

Mina (voice firm): "Yes. You’ve now stepped into something much greater — a new realm of power called RIFT."

Kai: "Rift...?"

Mina: "RIFT allows its wielder to draw strength from other dimensions. It’s an ancient power... and just like Atra, it has five stages. The final and most powerful stage is called RIFT MANIFESTATION."

Mina (her tone growing even heavier): "At that point, you won’t just borrow power—you'll pull a fragment of an entire dimension into our world... creating your own domain, where you control the laws inside it."

Kai (overwhelmed): "That sounds insane... Like, bending reality itself?!"

Mina (nodding): "Exactly. But don’t get ahead of yourself. This power isn’t easy to master. Before you can even begin, you must prove yourself to the dimension itself."

Kai (gritting his teeth, fire burning in his eyes): "Prove myself, huh...? Fine. If that’s what it takes... I'll do whatever it takes

As they were talking yuki " Wait Mina you said as kai become stronger we also become stronger? " Mina " Yess, try to summon your weapon too"

Yuki, kaoe, toie " but how? " Mina " Focus jus focus ".

Yuki " Ok so here we go!! " A magic barrier appeared in front of everyone "

Mina " Oh!! You can use protection barrier " Yuki " Wow Awsome!! " On the other hand kaoe and toie had also unlock their weapon kaoe with a book " What am i suppose to do with a book?? " Toie with a Stick "umm so am i suppose to use this stick?? " 

Mina " Ohh kaoe that's isn't a normal book it allows it user to use healing magic And toie your even more better you can you destructive magic!!! "

Everyone " Woww!!! "

Kai (deadpan) " Ummm so they get awsome powers and me a freaking sword "

Mina " Don't be sad " Kai " Ahhh" Mina " After a month we are gonna rescue zoya "

Kai " Wait what you said we got pretty much time? So why in a month? " Mina " Kai you are worst your childhood friend has been kidnapped and you are saying to wait 7months.now we have epic powers so it's fine "

Kai " Yeah you are right we will rescue her"

Month has been passed, everyone pretty much Mastered there powers. 

Mina " So is everyone ready? " Everyone " Yess we are!! " Mina " Great so after this portal open we will enter enemy base everyone stay close a try not to die"

Inside the base. 

They are clearing every enemy easily. 

Kai " If we do like this we will rescue her pretty soon" Mina " Don't let you hard down " Then suddenly a guy with black outfit enters with his soliders. 

One of solider " Sir Raizen shall we kill them now? " Raizen " Wait i want to see what they can do, it's not like they can defeat me" 

Kai " Huh overconfident, you are gonna regret that " Raizen " Mm a pretty arrogant weakling, ok i challenge you if you are really strong try to survive 5 minutes " " If you survive that long you dead will be painless " 

Kai " Fine I accept " The battle start and Kai was doing well it seems victory was Kai's or so he thought " 

Raizen " Haa, you are strong " Kai " Just give up you can't win it's over" Raizen " You surely underestimate me, you are gonna regret that now " 

RIFT........MANIFESTATION... Devour.. Weaklings. 

Mina " Kai!!! Retr.... " Ground was covered in mist as the mist disappear hundreds of undead emerged from the ground. 

Mina " Kai! We can't beat him for now retreat" But Kai he wasn't even listening. 

Kai " So what, if your summoned some creatures? You are dying by my hands"

As he said the undead attacked him. But it didn't hit him.. Kai " Yuki!!! " . Yuki was the one who got hit. 

Yuki barely standing " I'm sorry master " Kai " Mina fast we need to help her" . Raizen" Weaklings just dying from a single attack" Kai " You.. You will pay for this.. You will cry.. Cry.. For.. Mercy "

Raizen " Huh? " Laughing " You can't defeat me. Not in thousand years. And me cry? Pretty nice joke. Ok i wanna see what you can do, so I'm not killing you. For now"
