Chapter 1:

Chapter 1: The Shitty Game and I

Um... Your Highnesses, Your Hero is Over There

Seeing the princess walking in the audience hall, I hollered

ISN'T THIS THE SHITTY GAME I BOUGHT A WEEK AGO? (this was inside his head).

*
"The Hero and The Princess"...
Yes, that's the name, I'm sorry.

The newly released dating sims game that includes the action genre, it requires you to go on a journey, defeat the Demon King, and come back to the capital and marry the Princess...

WHY THE HELL DOES THIS GAME HAVE SO MANY CLICHÉ?
That was my first impression I have from this game.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate clichés, but overusing them is such a horrible move. There are so many that I could even tell the ending after I just finished half of the game. I felt devastated.

I think the game was released a month ago before I bought it from an old game store. It was even put away in the corner that was really hard to see. I remembered the game was programmed by a fairly new company, so it made sense that it was put on the back burner. I stumbled upon the game by accident.

The number of players was really a few, the community didn't even amount to 100 people. That showed how unpopular the game was.

Because of these, no wonder that it was hard to attract more players. I understood that. But why did I keep calling this game shitty? Because the plotline was dull as hell!!

It didn't even make any sense, the plot was all over the place. Many people quit after finishing the prologue.

Do you remember the Emperor repeating the line "Welcome..." earlier? I thought it was a bug when I first played this game. It could be tolerated; however, what was worse was that the lines were exactly the same for every choice the player would make. I did log out and play from the start, but no matter when I chose different choices, the NPC always ended up saying the same line.

The second reason, I hated the name. What did you mean by "The Hero and The Princess"? Could the company come up with a better name?

Another reason, why did a dating sim not have a "SAVE" option? Furthermore, it had so many bugs and errors, each time the game crashed, I had to play it from the beginning. Advance to the ending was a hellish journey.

Finally, the ending. What do you expect from a dating sim's ending? Wedding, kiss, or maybe the children of the couple? Yes, they sound wonderful.

BUT THE CREDIT ROLLED RIGHT AFTER THE PROTAGONIST STEPPED INTO THE CAPITAL GATE!!!

AGHHHGHGHGHGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!
I swear I had never been so furious in my life.

The happy ending that I was expecting after a long and arduous journey, advancing the game with so many bugs, but that damn credit roll ruined it all.

MY HAPPY ENDING!!!

I did try to contact the support team from the company, but all I received were apology emails. The community was flooded with furious posts. Many people left.

But the question here, why the hell did I keep playing this game till the end?

BECAUSE THE ART WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD!

The illustrations, the character designs, and the art quality, they suited my taste to a T.

I personally found the art to be extremely beautiful. I had never been enthusiastic about this, but I loved the art so much, to the point that I bought it right after seeing the cover.

Many people in the community also agreed with me. They said the art quality was phenomenal, but this alone wasn't enough to keep players from leaving.

But I stuck to it, perseverant enough to play it to the end, all because of the art. I think I was pretty easy back then. But the art was really top-notch.

And there you go. My history with this game. Thinking back, I spent a lot of time just to finish this game, because of those damn bugs.

Now that I ended up in this world, the perk was that I remembered all the plot of this game. I could become an OP character, get myself valuable weapons and materials, become rich or get myself a harem...

I CAN BECOME A PROTAGONIST OF THIS WORLD!
...

Nah, that ain't my thing. I'd rather be a spectator.

"Is there something wrong, Hero-sama?" - The Princess, Teresa, said while looking at me, worriedly.

It seemed that I stared at her too hard. I was surprised at the revelation, okay?

"Ah, it's nothing. It's just that,... It's my 1st time seeing a Princess" - I said, a little embarrassed.

"Fufu, I see. It's nice to meet you, Hero-sama".

She said, then continued walking toward the Emperor.

"Let me introduce her. She is my daughter, Teresa Springfield, First Princess of Springfield Empire. She will be the one who helps you with discovering your status" - The Emperor said.

Looking back at back, I mumbled...

"I wonder who will be the "SAVIOR" from our class?"
