Author's Comments/End of Volume One (Edit)

Yo!

For those who have read this far and followed Ryujin and Yunaria up until this point, not only do they appreciate it, so does the author, aka me!

When this contest was first announced, not a single idea came to me. Participation hadn't even crossed my mind. The last contest of 2024 ended, and I submitted a work that not only didn't enter in finalists, but one I feel was rushed and ended in a manner due to the constraint of contest. But one day out of nowhere, I had a random idea to write a story about a film director making a movie about an alien robot woman in love while randomly meeting an alien robot woman. The rest, if you read up until this point, is history.

 I can say with certainty that this has been the most fun I've had while writing anything, and in a lot of ways this story has been a sort of a catharsis, passion project and truly something I believe in, all in one. 

I appreciate all of the people who have read up until this point and feel free to leave thoughts, criticisms, enjoyments or something else altogether. 

Space Cowboy Robot Love became a story a lot weirder and absurd than I ever thought it would be and for the first time, am excited to see where the strangeness leads me and my writing ability. Each story leads to the next one, and this being my fourth novel (finished ones or unfinished ones), there's a skill level in storytelling that I feel starting to grow and my progress as a writer and enjoyment people have reading something I wrote, will always trump a contest prize. 

However, that being said... 

I think in the point this story leaves off, marks a good point for the journey of Ryujin and Yunaria. Love to me, is in the action, not so much in the words we say. Their relationship is special to me in many ways; one I hope will stay with others in the ways it has and will stay with me. 

As this Act closes and I leave this as my main contest submission for Volume One, (meaning Act 2 will not continue as of now) I can genuinely say I appreciate this work.

While not flawless and above criticism, it is sincere and my honest attempt to transcend boundaries with romance!

Act II brings more adventures of romance between Yunaria and Ryujin, government conspiracies, film sets, new characters, coyote folklore and more...
