Chapter 6:

Defeat Kana?

Miko and the end of the world

It's now March 16, 2009. Miko woke up from sleep because the alarm was ringing. Miko turned off the alarm, and now it's 07:46. Miko saw that Takamura and Sena were still asleep. Miko let them be, thinking they were probably exhausted. Miko got ready to take a shower. Miko went to the bathroom and took a shower. While showering, Miko thought, ''Can I win against Kana?'' From Takamura's point of view. Takamura began to wake up from his sleep. He noticed that Miko was no longer beside him. Meanwhile, Sena was still sleeping next to him. Takamura tried to wake Sena from her sleep. He managed to wake her up. Sena opened her eyes and said:

'' Is it morning already? ''

'' Yeah. And have you seen Miko? ''

'' No. I was also asleep. ''

'' Alright. Let's go look for Miko. ''

'' Alright. We will look for Miko. ''

Takamura and Sena searched for Miko. They split up to look for him. Takamura searched upstairs. Sena looked for him downstairs. Back to Miko's point of view. Miko had finished showering and was getting dressed. He returned to the bedroom to wake up Takamura and Sena. But when Miko entered the room, he didn’t see either of them. Miko said:

'' Where did they go? ''

Takamura and Sena were trying to find Miko. But they couldn't find him, so they returned to the bedroom. When Takamura opened the door, it turned out Miko was in the bedroom.

'' Where have you two been? ''

'' We were looking for you. And it turns out you were here all along. ''

'' Where have you been, Miko? ''

'' I went to the bathroom and took a shower. At first, I wanted to wake you both up, but you looked tired, so I let you sleep. ''

'' Alright. So, what do we do now? ''

'' Today is the day Kana destroys the world. So we have to get ready to defeat Kana. ''

'' Alright, Miko. ''

But before that, Miko told Takamura and Sena to take showers... so they wouldn’t stink.
Takamura and Sena quickly went to shower (and no, not together).Once they were done, they started gathering all the necessary items and reviewed their plan. The preparations took a long time because there was so much to get ready. They finally finished at 12:35 PM. They set off on foot and headed to the school.

Miko made sure to lock the house before they left.

When they arrived at the school, they saw that students were guarding it—including the front gate.
It looked like they had already been manipulated by Kana.

So Miko, Takamura, and Sena stayed cautious and began figuring out how to get inside without being noticed.
They hid behind some bushes and started planning how to sneak into the school without being detected by Kana’s guards.

Planning took a long time because there were so many guards watching the entrances.
Then, Sena came up with an idea—getting in through a classroom window.

That area was rarely guarded. At most, there might be 2, 3, or maybe 4 guards.
Sena shared her idea with Miko and Takamura.

They both agreed. Carefully, they began moving toward the classroom window.

But there was an obstacle a fence in the way.

Fortunately, Miko had brought wire cutters. So, Miko decided that the one to cut the fence would be...

'' Takamura!!! You're the one who will cut the fence. ''

'' Erm, alright... if you insist. ''

Takamura took the wire cutters. Miko, Takamura, and Sena moved carefully, making sure not to be spotted by the guards.

Takamura started cutting through the fence bit by bit. Once there was an opening, Miko slipped through and climbed in through the classroom window. Takamura and Sena followed right behind him.

And yup. they made it into the classroom, and luckily, there were no guards inside.

Miko quickly and cautiously made her way upstairs. Takamura and Sena stayed close behind, protecting her as she moved. Miko continued up to the top floor—the school rooftop. Miko, Takamura, and Sena faced a serious challenge.

Takamura and Sena stayed behind to deal with the guards on the third floor, clearing the path.
Meanwhile, Miko continued his journey to the rooftop alone. He finally arrived at the school rooftop. And there stood Kana, facing away from him, staring into the distance.

" Miko. So, you've made it? How are you doing? "

" I will defeat you, and I will return this world to the way it used to be. "

Kana turned around, now facing Miko with a sharp gaze and a smile.

" You’re going to lose, Miko. Because you’re weak... just like your friends—nothing more than trash. "

'' I won’t lose. I may be weak, but you have no idea who I really am. "

" Oh? Then show me. Show me who you really are, Miko. "

A gust of wind blew across the rooftop as the tension thickened. Miko took a deep breath, his eyes sharp with resolve. Behind him, faint sounds of fighting could still be heard from the third floor. Takamura and Sena holding off the guard. Kana stood on the rooftop, her back to Miko, shadows coiling at her feet like snakes. She sensed him approaching.

" Miko. So, you’ve come all this way just to lose. "

Miko said nothing at first. He simply stood there still, composed. Then his voice came, soft but steady.

" This isn’t about winning or losing. It’s about what’s true. "

Kana turned to face him, smiling coldly.

" Truth? Don’t talk to me about truth. The world abandoned truth long ago. "

Miko tilted his head slightly.

" No. You abandoned it. You built your own world to replace it—one that obeys your rules. But deep down, you know it’s hollow. "

The air around them grew heavy. Kana’s smile twitched. The rooftop felt... unstable.

" You think talking will change anything? "

" It already has. The moment I spoke, the cracks began to form. The students below—the ones you controlled—do you feel it? That flicker of doubt. The silence creeping into their hearts. ''

Kana stepped back unconsciously. Something about Miko's voice clung to her mind, like a splinter she couldn’t remove.

" I am their goddess! "

" No. You are their fear. And fear can be replaced. "

He took one step forward. His presence was like a mirror—reflecting everything Kana wanted to ignore. Her loneliness. Her doubt. Her guilt.

" You claim I’m weak. But I never needed to fight you. I just had to remind you… you’re still human. "

Kana's power faltered. Her hands trembled. Behind her eyes memories. Things she buried. Things she denied.

The illusion of control she built began to fall apart.

What will Miko and Kana do next? I'm curious about Takamura and Sena.
