There's this random cliché where one is asked what superpowers they would wish to have. Of course, everyone has an answer for this: probably based on age, situation or interest - answers vary.
The old man claimed the choice of immortality, the little child an infinite desert supplier, the struggling middle schooler chose to be super smart, another chose time travel probably to correct past mistakes and many others made their choices.
It was my turn and yes, I do have an answer for this. "Nothing". My honest answer. I definitely never lied, I just had nothing in mind. There's no lack, no specific or big dream and no wish to make myself said subject to an unknown power source.
But you see that wish for nothing gave me anything and everything. The inherent power to manifest anything out of nothing. An ever changing yet still power that allows solutions to problems at hand.
With this ability even an unwanted bastard becomes a treasure to the family and a child with no demanding expectations is dragged down with pressure.Of course, there are limitations and set rules.
Staring at the intricately designed ceiling, I pulled myself out of the void called sleep. The bright rays seeping in through the half closed curtains and the neatly arranged room brought a sense of belonging.
It seems I'm in my room. I definitely didn't end up in the toilet and the room looks intact.Dragging my feet along the perfectly white tiles, I come to face with the mirror in the bathroom.
Staring at me was a figure with sharp eyes yet soft emerald inner circles, a disheveled platinum white hair flowing down her shoulders and a face with a blend of American and Philippines that seems a bit above average yet screams 'I hate my life'.
Well... yes I do currently hate my life. Although there are some things that keep me here, I still wish to live another life in another world entirely. An isekai would be fine if it truly exist. I don't plan to find out myself though...... enough talk about that.
I definitely remember drinking from that d*mn cup and turning into a mess.
Ughh.....
As I stepped out of my room, the sight of my aunt in a black kitchen apron with her brown hair tied up greeted me.
" Oh~! Hehe good morning princess ~"A playful smile crept up her face. She finished up her endeavors and sat on the sofa.
"Morning miss Natasha" I replied clearly putting up a formal tone.
"Call me auntie Natty! You always use that tone whenever you talk to me, even throughout your weird state last night". She said pouting in complaints of my formalities.
Huh? Weird state..... It seems I might have actually done something weird under the influence of alcohol. I'm definitely not taking it anymore. 20 years is still a young age it seems.
"What exactly did I do last night miss na..... Aunt."Stumbling over my words in choice of not being too formal but not being close either.
"Hmm... hehe.. well you just talked about your childhood dream and wh-""H-hold it! Please don't talk about it. J-just forget about that".
Phew... I definitely don't want to hear the embarrassing things I said yesterday anymore."I'm having classes today, so I'll be leaving soon"
"Sure Julie~ Call my manager if something comes up. I'll be busy later today"
I nodded approvingly and dashed back in the room to get ready to go to the academy for young ability users.
Hello.... I started with this chapter but it was a little weird during the process and even now. I can't seem to chose between first person or third person for the full story.
So I may switch things up later in different chapters. 😔 Sorry if it may be inconvenient for you in the future.
I update slowly due to my schedule but I hope I can change that for you all.
