Chapter 8:

The Final Redemption

Dusk Of Redemption

The magical barrier could already be seen in the distance, glowing like a translucent veil in the sunlight. After a long and tiring journey, the three were approaching the foot of salvation.
— Finally! — Raizen sighed with a wide grin, while his stomach responded with a prolonged growl. — After all this marching through dust and danger, I deserve a royal feast. Or at least a hot soup. Or a piece of bread. Or... a baked stone. I’m not picky anymore.
Kuragane widened his eyes, looking at the barrier.— Aha... And yet, after all this time, to end up exactly here... It’s almost comical. But honestly, as soon as I get my hands on a bed, I won’t get up for three days. Maybe the bed will adopt me as a pet.
Mizuki scratched the back of her neck, seeming slightly bothered by the sun.— Hey, joking aside, let’s not forget we only have two weeks until the barrier falls and the world goes crazy. We’re not here just to rest.
Raizen crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow.— Don’t panic. Everything’s under control. Forgot? I’m the key! — he said, puffing out his chest like a mystical rooster. — Without me, humanity would be... poof! cosmic dust!
— Ah, yes... how could we forget? Blessed be your belly button, oh great savior of humanity, — Kuragane muttered ironically, clapping slowly.
When they reached the barrier, a patrol of soldiers greeted them, frowning.
— Who are you and what are you doing here? In any case, you can’t enter the barrier. It would be better for you to find a safe place to hide.
Raizen and Kuragane exchanged glances, shrugged, and lowered their hands, realizing that... the soldiers were right. They were stuck.
But then, Mizuki stepped forward. With a graceful movement, she opened her glowing wings, making the wind rustle around them.
— I am the daughter of the goddess. With me, you can open the barrier. Take us to your king, we have essential information on how to defeat Malvor.
The soldiers immediately knelt, surprised by her divine appearance. One of them barely managed to say:
— Forgive us... We didn’t know...
A general in heavy armor and a red cloak approached and gestured for them to follow him.
— Follow me. The king and the other leaders must hear what you have to say.
— Wow... what a large camp you have here! — exclaimed Raizen, looking around at the hundreds of tents and fluttering flags.
— All the empires have gathered here. A whole year we’ve spent gathering soldiers, resources, and preparing for this moment. There are over a hundred thousand people ready to give their lives for humanity, — replied the general in a deep and proud voice.
They crossed the camp and climbed into a recently built fortress for defense. There, they were led through a stone corridor until they reached a large hall, where six people sat around an imposing table.
— These are the six kings of the empires, — announced the general.
An old king with a long white beard furrowed his brow and asked:
— Who are these... creatures?
The general bowed his head in respect.— This young lady is the daughter of the goddess. And the two accompanying her... are the warriors who have fought through fire and sword alongside her. They know how to defeat Malvor.
All the kings looked at each other, stunned.
— Are you sure about this? — asked the old man, raising an eyebrow.
— I saw with my own eyes how they passed through the barrier. And her wings... are proof.
Mizuki stepped forward and told them everything. About Malvor. About Raizen, about Kuragane. About what was to come. The hall fell into a heavy silence.
A massive king, with dark skin and imposing armor, stood up.— I see you’ve been through a lot. With you... maybe we have a chance. Go. Rest. You have our full support.
After all the tension, the three heroes enjoyed a well-deserved break. Raizen ate as if he had never seen food in his life.
— Six steaks! Now that’s a feast! — he said with his mouth full, while Kuragane tried to take his plate.
Kuragane, exhausted, had fallen asleep halfway up a chair, holding a chicken drumstick in his hand.
And Mizuki? She went straight to the hot springs. She stayed there so long that her skin turned red and began to resemble a tomato.
— Raizen! — she shouted as she came out of the bath with a towel on her head — If you keep torturing me like this, I’ll turn into divine soup!
Raizen laughed.— Well, at least you’ll smell nice when we fight demons.
The morning had risen gently over the camp. The wind blew softly, and the scent of fresh grass and hot tea lingered in the air. The three of them sat at a small wooden table, bathed in the sun's rays.
— Ahh, it’s so nice outside… said Kurogane, stretching like a lazy cat. I almost forget we’re in the middle of the apocalypse.
— Almost, but not quite, Mizuki cut off his smile. Don’t forget that in a week we’ll have a battle we won’t forget, even if we live a thousand lives...
— Pff, if the end is coming, at least let’s enjoy this wonderful tea! Raizen replied, taking a big sip, then grimaced. — Ouch! Hot! Why didn’t you warn me, traitors?
— Totally agree, said Kurogane, laughing. Then he stood up and lightly shook his armor. — I have to go, some soldiers are waiting for me, they think the sword should be held with the blade up…
— Good luck, master of patience, Raizen said, saluting with his cup.
After his departure, only silence remained, occasionally broken by the sound of tea being sipped. Mizuki and Raizen sat quietly, each lost in their thoughts. Until Raizen felt an intense gaze.
— What... What’s going on? he asked confused, turning to Mizuki. — You’re looking at me like I just said I love tea with milk and mustard...
— N-nothing! And stop looking at me like that, you blockhead! Mizuki suddenly yelled, turning as red as a ripe apple, and threw a cup of tea at his head.
— Ouch! What did I do?! Raizen exclaimed, rubbing his forehead.
Mizuki lowered her gaze, her cheeks burning. She murmured:
— Everything is... normal. But I don’t like how... close you are to Lyra. Don’t tell me you want to marry her! And she gave him a punch on the head.
— Ouch! No! I’m not marrying her! Where did you get that idea? Why do you even care?
— Doesn’t matter, blockhead! she snapped, then stormed off, sulking.
Raizen stood alone, massaging his temple.
— What’s with this girl? I don’t get anything from her... A mystery bigger than demons...
By evening, Raizen was leaning against a bar, watching Kurogane train the soldiers. He was absent, almost drained of energy.
After the training, Kurogane approached, sweaty and covered in dust.
— What are you doing over there? It looks like you’ve forgotten that in three days the barrier falls and the demons will feast on us! You, our only hope, haven’t touched your sword!
— I have the amulet from the Zahari tribe... I’ll manage, Raizen said softly, like a sponge left in the sun.
— Pfff... Yeah, sure... By the way, I made new outfits for you, made from material only my clan processes. With these... we’ll be legendary! But what’s with that face?
— Mizuki… he sighed, staring off into space.
— Her again? What happened now?
— I don’t understand her. She asked me if I’m going to marry Lyra. I said “no,” it’s none of her business. She got mad and won’t talk to me. Seriously... she’s a puzzle with more pieces than existence...
— You’re an idiot.
— That’s what she said! Why!?
Kurogane burst out laughing.
— Ha ha ha! Didn’t you get it?! She likes you, you fool!
— What?!? Raizen fell off the bar, then quickly got up, eyes wide. — B-but... she hits me! She calls me a “blockhead”! How... how could she like me?!
— That’s life. Love isn’t logical.
— But... if I think about it... It all makes sense now. I have to talk to her... before the final battle... In case... we don’t make it back...
— Talk to her, but don’t forget to train! Good night, philosopher, Kurogane said, patting him on the shoulder and leaving.
The next morning, Mizuki was in the garden. She wore a simple white dress, but elegant, making her look like a flower among the tomatoes and carrots. She sang softly, watering the plants.
Raizen approached slowly, but when Mizuki turned and saw him, she dropped the watering can and jumped back.
— Am I really that scary? Raizen asked with a sly smile.
— Ah! It’s just you... You’re not scary. You’re... cute... she said slowly, embarrassed. — What do you want?
— What did you say?
— Nothing! she quickly said, then punched him. — Go away! I don’t want to talk to you!
Instead of leaving, Raizen gently pulled her into an embrace. Mizuki froze, but didn’t resist.
— What... What are you doing? she whispered, as red as a beet.
— In two days, the great battle comes... Look, pieces of the barrier are already falling... If... we don’t get the chance... I’m sorry if I’ve hurt you...
Mizuki hid her tears, looking down. She gently pushed him away and ran toward the garden exit. Then she stopped, turned her head, and said:
— I forgive you... idiot!
Raizen stood still, touched in his heart. He smiled softly and sighed.
— Girls... they’ll drive me crazy. But... I think I’m driving her crazy too...
Then he took his sword and walked quietly toward the training area, thinking about what Kurogane had said: “She loves you.”
The moment of the battle was approaching, and the field was filled with growing tension. Everyone was on the move, each checking their gear, improving their armor and weapons. Kurogane and Raizen were training intensely, while the soldiers lined up, each feeling the weight of the inevitable.
Raizen approached his own armor, brand new and gleaming in the sun. It was lighter than what he had worn before, but much sturdier, made from an ancient material kept only in Kurogane's clan. He felt protected, but also vulnerable. He glanced thoughtfully at Kurogane.
— Don’t worry, said Kurogane with a wide smile. If we want to win, we just have to focus. No armor makes you invincible.
Raizen nodded slightly in agreement and continued his preparations. In a few moments, he fully donned his armor, fastening his sword at his side. Mizuki appeared nearby, wrapped in her light yet elegant armor, suitable for her agility. As she adjusted her hood, she threw a glance at Raizen, feeling a mixed emotion.
— Are you ready? Raizen asked with a faint smile.
Mizuki looked him in the eye and smiled, but her response was filled with sadness:
— I’m never ready for what’s coming, but there’s nothing I can do... I will fight to the end.
— Alright, go get some rest, tomorrow is the day we’ve been training for all this time, Kurogane said, winking at Raizen, signaling that Mizuki was free.
Mizuki started heading to where she would rest, but Raizen stopped her:
— Hey! Don’t you want to come with me to that hill? The stars are so beautiful.
— Why not? Who knows if we’ll ever have the chance to look at the stars again, she replied with a smile.
The two of them spread their wings and flew.
— Woohoo! What’s so great about the sky? I still can’t get the hang of it, Raizen said, losing his balance and almost falling, but Mizuki caught his hand.
— You can’t do anything without me!
— I think you’re right, he said.
They reached the hill and sat on the grass, gazing at the stars. After some time of sharing thoughts and looking at the stars, they stood up and looked at each other.
Silence fell, and Raizen seemed to feel the same weight pressing on his chest. He stepped toward her and gently took her trembling hand.
— I promise I won’t die. I will save you, even if the whole world burns around us. You will be the princess who will live in the clouds, and I will be there, by your side, until the end, he said in a calm but determined voice.
Mizuki raised her gaze to him, her eyes sparkling, but they were also veiled with deep sadness.
— Raizen, don’t promise things you can’t keep...
— I promise I won’t die. Even if it’s hard, even if I have to go through the darkest corners of the world, I will protect you, and you will never be alone.
A gentle breeze appeared, and the leaves of the trees moved softly in the night that was falling. Raizen and Mizuki looked at each other, and the distance between them seemed to shrink until, finally, Raizen gently pulled her into his arms.
She looked into his eyes, wearing a shy yet hopeful smile. Raizen held her firmly, but with deep respect, as if not wanting to hurt her.
Almost instinctively, Mizuki brought her face closer to his, and for a moment, the world seemed to stop around them. Raizen closed his eyes and leaned toward her, feeling her delicate scent. Their lips met gently at first, but soon it turned into a passionate, deep kiss, like an unspoken promise. Each touch of their lips seemed to freeze time, and in those few seconds, all the fear and uncertainty melted away.
When they parted, their breathing was heavy, and Mizuki smiled timidly, her cheeks slightly flushed. Raizen looked at her, and a look of trust lit up in his eyes.
— We will make it, he said with a smile.
— Yes, we will make it, she replied, and at that moment, each of them knew that, no matter what would come, they would never truly be alone.
Night fell over them, but their hearts were stronger than the darkness that deepened. While the wind whispered through the forests surrounding them, Raizen and Mizuki were united, and their bond became truly unbreakable.
The entire army had lined up on the battlefield, each magical soldier and warrior of the human world preparing for what would be their greatest battle in history. Under the king's guidance, each unit took its position, and the final preparations were made. The air vibrated with tension, and every soldier felt their heart pounding in their chest with almost dizzying force.
The king stood at the front of the army, tall and imposing, surrounded by his advisers, his gaze frighteningly calm. His voice echoed across the battlefield, unwavering even in the face of the approaching demons.
— “Today, we fight not just for our survival, but for the future of all who will come after us! Not a single demon will take control of this world!”
Each soldier, whether human or magician, gripped their weapons tightly, and their synchronized movements with the rhythm of their heartbeat created an electrifying atmosphere, preparing them for what was to come.
Malvor stood behind the demonic army, sneering in contempt. Alongside his two generals, he raised his gaze toward the crumbling barrier, his look full of disdain. The demons were armed with fiery red flames, spears made of black steel, and their heads were adorned with enormous horns, a terrifying reminder of their demonic power.
The barrier shattered, and suddenly, an immense swarm of demons rose from the depths of the mountain, soaring over the battlefield like a storm of fire. The demons rushed towards the soldiers, and the air vibrated with increasing intensity. Sword strikes and magic flying through the air were accompanied by the screams of demons and the sound of metal clashing against metal.
Raizen, Kurogane, and Mizuki were already prepared to defend this last patch of earth. Raizen, his black hair flowing in the wind, raised his sword into the air and shouted toward the demons:
— “Stop them! Don’t let a single demon pass!”
The strikes began to fall, each movement accompanied by the deafening sound of metal hitting metal and magic shattering in the air. Raizen struck a demon with his sword, cutting through the demon’s flesh like a knife through butter. The demon’s red blood splattered around him, staining the earth and leaving a trail of fire on the barren ground. The demon collapsed at his feet, and Raizen drove his sword into the ground, lifting his red eyes toward the sky.
Kurogane, with his massive shield and enormous sword, fought like a hawk in the middle of the battle. With each step, he cleared his path through the demons daring to approach. A blow from one demon struck his shield, but Kurogane retaliated with immeasurable strength, swinging his sword and severing the demon’s head.
Mizuki moved quickly, like a sharp wind, shooting arrows with precision. Unfortunately, for every demon she took down, hundreds more appeared.
From a distance, Malvor and his two generals watched with a relaxed attitude, letting the army of demons do their work. Malvor raised one hand, and a dark energy began to gather around him. A ray of dark energy erupted from his palms, spreading a wave of destruction around him.
Malvor laughed, and his laugh echoed like a macabre melody in the still air.
— “This is just the beginning, Raizen. The world will end, and you will be the last to understand it!”
In an instant, a wave of energy struck a unit of soldiers, engulfing them in a flash of black light. The heat and fury were unbearable, and the soldiers were reduced to ashes in an instant. Raizen, Kurogane, and Mizuki looked horrified as the wave of death rose from a single strike by the demon. This was the power of the demons, and with every step closer to Malvor, the risk grew higher.
— “Malvor! Is this the power you bring? Instant death? Is this how you fight?” Raizen shouted, his voice trembling with fury.
Malvor looked at Raizen with contempt, and in his eyes, there was an ancient and deep hatred.
— “You still don’t understand, do you? Every step you take sinks you deeper into darkness. You chose to fight, and now you must surrender.”
Raizen, his eyes burning with anger, tensed, raising his sword and replying:
— “I will never surrender! This is the battle for the entire world, and I will not let this world die!”
Kurogane raised his shield and began carving a path through the demons that stood in their way. Mizuki tightened her magical bow and shot arrows that pierced through the enemies. But before them, the road to Malvor seemed like a well of death, and every step felt heavier than the last.
— “Raizen! We must reach Malvor! Only then can we face the apocalypse!” Kurogane shouted, pausing for a moment to push a demon back.
Raizen responded with a swift motion of his sword, cutting down a huge demon that had charged at him. The adrenaline gleamed in his eyes.
— “It’s too late to turn back!”
The real battle was about to begin now, and only one path led to Malvor. Despite the darkness and death surrounding them, the three fighters continued their journey, each step being a fight for their lives. Raizen knew that the sacrifice was almost inevitable, but before reaching Malvor, they still had a chance. In a sudden movement, Raizen raised his sword and slammed it into the ground, piercing the earth.
— “If you want to stop the apocalypse, I must sacrifice myself!”
Raizen knew that the only way to stop the apocalypse and confront Malvor’s evil power was through his own sacrifice, and the moment to face his destiny was approaching.

From the three towering thrones where the demon lords sat, Malvor gave his chilling order.

— Get rid of Mizuki and Kurogane. Leave me alone with my son, Raizen.

The two generals obeyed without hesitation, vanishing instantly in a blur of darkness. One appeared before Kurogane, the other before Mizuki. Both were startled.

— Don’t worry… we’ll take care of them. You go ahead.

With wicked grins, the generals grabbed them and shot into the sky in opposite directions. Mizuki and Kurogane struggled, but they couldn’t break free.

Meanwhile, Raizen charged across the battlefield with everything he had. Around him, humans and demons clashed in a brutal, chaotic war.

When he reached the throne, Malvor stood tall before him. A demon in human form—with long white hair, pitch-black eyes, ashen skin, massive black wings, and horns sharper than swords.

— At last. After all these years, I’ve finally found you... so I can destroy you myself, said Malvor, rising from the throne.

— Then it’s good you found me. Because this is the last time we’ll ever meet. I’ll kill you today, Raizen replied, gripping his sword tightly.

— Hahahaha… You? Kill me? How foolish.

Far away, Lusifer dropped Mizuki into a clearing. Her armor absorbed the impact.

— I am Lusifer, First General of Malvor.

He was tall, muscular, with curled orange hair, ram-like horns, hawk-like eyes, and pale skin. He wore only a light robe—nearly bare.

Elsewhere, Kurogane was thrown onto a rocky cliff.

— I am Altras, Second General of Malvor… and the one who’ll rip the flesh from your bones!

He was massive—grotesque and fat, with a terrifying face and two giant swords nearly his height.

Back at the throne, Raizen faced Malvor, legs shaking but resolve unbroken.

— I should have killed your mother from the start. Then I wouldn’t have to deal with this now, sneered Malvor.

— How dare you speak of her like that! shouted Raizen.

He lunged, sword raised. Malvor stood and drew his blade. As their swords clashed, the air itself trembled. But Malvor easily pushed Raizen to the ground.

They fought fiercely. Malvor struck with overwhelming strength, while Raizen dodged and countered.

— Pathetic! Were these weak attacks supposed to defeat me?!

With a powerful slash, Malvor severed Raizen’s hand.

Meanwhile, Mizuki battled Lusifer with all her might. She unleashed illusions and arrows, keeping him at bay.

— He’s too strong… I can’t regenerate fast enough. But I promised Raizen I wouldn’t die! she thought.

On the battlefield, human mages flung spells while demons retaliated with dark energy and claws. Screams and explosions echoed.

Kurogane held his ground, deflecting blow after blow from the hulking Altras.

— I have to find his weak spot… or I’m finished! he thought.

Above the chaos, Raizen flew upward with his wings, trying to heal. Malvor pursued instantly.

— You think you can escape me? How naïve.

He appeared above Raizen and struck him down with a thunderous punch.

— Damn it! yelled Raizen, plummeting from the sky.

In a shadowed clearing, Mizuki stood before Lusifer, the first general of Malvor. The wind rustled through the trees, and the grass was wet—perhaps from dew, or blood.

Lusifer smirked arrogantly, twirling his thin blade between his fingers.

— You're just a little angel puppet. How long can you last?

Mizuki tightened her grip on her bow, blood running down her shoulder from a fresh cut.

— Longer than you think, monster.

Without another word, she fired three magic arrows in quick succession, but Lusifer slashed them midair, closing in with demonic speed.

— Is that all? You’re just disappointing yourself.

Mizuki leapt back, casting an illusion—two copies of herself formed a circle and attacked from the sides.

— Childish tricks!

Lusifer muttered a word in the ancient demon tongue, and a burst of black fire erased the illusions like smoke.

Mizuki was breathing heavily. "I don’t stand a chance like this… I have to..."

She grabbed the amulet tied around her neck—the symbol of the Zahari clan, a glowing blue stone engraved with radiant runes.

— Help me… unlock all my power!

The amulet pulsed with light, and her body became enveloped in magical aura. Her hair lifted slightly, and her eyes shone like stars.

— Let’s see how you handle me at 100%!

A massive arrow of pure light formed on her bow, covered in Zahari runes.

— Divine Destruction Arrow: Heavens’ Shot!

The arrow exploded from the bow, lighting up the entire forest. Lusifer tried to dodge, but part of it struck his side, tearing his cloak and making him bleed.

— Ahh… so you’ve decided to fight seriously now, little angel?

**

On a dark cliff, Kurogane was thrown to the ground by Altras, the obese brute with twin blades. He breathed heavily, his armor covered in deep slashes.

— I’m done playing! I’ve chewed enough of your meat!

Altras raised both swords above his head.

Kurogane grinned weakly, spitting blood.

— If I’m dying… I just want to know… how the hell do you move so fast with that belly?

The demon blinked in confusion. — What?

— Just kidding, fatty!

In that moment, Kurogane clutched his Zahari amulet—shaped like a wolf fang—which burst into red flames.

— Zahari spirit… lend me the strength of my ancestors!

A shockwave of energy erupted from his body. His muscles tightened, reflexes sharpened, and his skin shimmered with protective magic.

— At 100%... I’m unstoppable.

He lunged at Altras with explosive speed, his shield glowing with crimson light.

— Zahari Impact: Storm Shield!

He slammed into the demon wih colossal force, launching him into a tree that shattered under the impact.

Altras slowly stood up, laughing hoarsely.

— I like good fights… this is getting fun!

— Then you’ll love this part.

Kurogane swung his sword in a whirlwind of strikes, forcing the demon onto the defensive.

**

Back with Mizuki, her battle raged on. Lusifer was now serious. Wounded and enraged, he spread his dark wings and unleashed a storm of black lightning.

Mizuki twisted through the air, dodging with fluid grace. When she landed behind him, she activated a new spell.

— Falling Star Seal!

A magic circle exploded beneath Lusifer, knocking him down. Mizuki fired arrow after arrow, relentlessly.

— For Raizen! For the people suffering! I won’t lose!

**

Meanwhile, Kurogane, with a cracked shield and bloodied blade, grabbed Altras by the throat.

— Tell me… where’s your weak spot?

The demon laughed.

— In my ego! Hahahah!

Kurogane slammed him to the ground and raised his sword.

— Then I’ll crush that too!

With a final roar, he struck the demon’s chest, his Zahari amulet flaring violently and sending a wave of energy into the demon’s core. Altras screamed in pain until his body dissolved into smoke.

**

At the same time, Mizuki focused her entire power into one last arrow.

— Judgment of Light!

The shot pierced Lusifer’s chest, and he collapsed, devoured by his own shadow.

**

Both generals were defeated. Mizuki and Kurogane, exhausted, glanced into the distance.

— Did you make it? Kurogane asked.

— Yeah… and you?

— Barely… but yeah.

They both looked to the sky, where Malvor’s dark presence still loomed.

— Raizen… hold on.

Raizen fought fiercely against Malvor. His body was covered in wounds, and his breathing grew heavier with each moment. Mizuki and Kurogane ran toward him, but both were gravely injured. They couldn’t intervene.

– Raizen! – Mizuki shouted, her voice trembling. – Don’t face him alone!

Kurogane fell to his knees, leaning on his sword.

– We… can’t help…

Raizen wiped the blood from his face and pulled out the amulet of the Zahari clan. He looked at the sky for a moment, then clenched it in his hand.

– Forgive me…

A burst of dark energy erupted around him. His hair grew longer, his eyes glowed a fierce red, and his body was engulfed in demonic flames. Raizen had become a full demon.

– Malvor… now it’s my turn!

The battle became colossal. The sky darkened, black lightning tearing across the horizon. Their swords clashed with a force that shook the earth.

– You’re nothing but a shadow, Father! – Raizen roared.

– You are not my son! You are a mistake! – Malvor thundered back.

The fight raged on, each strike leaving deep scars in the ground. Mizuki watched, trembling.

– He can’t keep this up…

Kurogane clenched his teeth.

– We have to trust him.

But Malvor laughed, beginning to absorb the remaining energy of the demon world.

– I will destroy all of humanity! No one will be spared!

Raizen fell to his knees, blood spilling from his mouth. Then he remembered what the witch had told him:

– If Malvor uses the amulet, only you can stop him. But you’ll have to… sacrifice yourself. You are the key, Raizen.

Mizuki heard him whisper and understood.

– No… no, Raizen, you can’t… you promised!

She ran toward him, crying.

– You said you wouldn’t die! You said we’d keep going together!

Kurogane stopped her, holding her tightly.

– Let him go… it’s his choice.

Raizen turned to her, smiling weakly.

– It was the most beautiful year of my life… I love you.

He threw himself at Malvor, merging with the amulet’s energy.

– NO! – Malvor screamed in despair.

A pure, white light burst out and swallowed everything. The demons vanished. The sky cleared, for the first time in so long.

The whole world rejoiced… But Mizuki and Kurogane wept in silence.

Time passed. In the heart of the kingdom, a massive statue of Raizen stood smiling. Beneath it were the words:

he one who sacrificed himself for salvation.

Mizuki had become the goddess of the world, ruling with wisdom and light.

Kurogane roamed the land, hunting the demons that still lurked in the shadows.

Raizen lived on in everyone’s memory.

The End.
