New Hope

10 years have passed, and what used to be a huge space of dry land is now a field filled with many flowers. Outside of the settlement, a girl was walking as she walked closer to a statue in the middle of the field of flowers, and she read the top part of the inscription.

“In the memory of all our fallen friends and to the one who gave us new hope, Seki Nobunaga.” Read the girl.

“There you are, Lily.” Said another girl who came closer, who is revealed to be Alice.

“Big sister!” said Lily as she hugged Alice

“What are you doing here?” Asked Alice as she went to pick up Lily.

“I wanted to see the statue.” Said Lily as she pointed towards the inscription.

“Who are these people?” Asked Lily.

Alice started walking through the flower field.

“Those are the people who fight to save everyone. Do you see all of these flowers?” Said Alice.

“Yeah.” Responded Lily.

“They weren't here before; it was all a dry land filled with monsters.” Said Alice.

“Monsters?” Questioned Lily.

“Yep, monsters they would come and destroy everything they see and then eat you up.” Said Alice as she let out a small giggle.

“No, I don't wanna be eaten by monsters.” Said Lily.

“Oh, you don't need to worry about that because all the monsters. They were destroyed by one person, Seki Nobunaga. He was also Dad's best friend, and he also saved Dad.” Said Alice.

“He saved Daddy.” Said Lily.

“Yes, and because of that, Dad was able to come back home safely and was able to find the cure for the infection.” Said Alice.

“Seki and Daddy are so awesome.” Said Lilly.

“They are, but we also must be grateful to the people who fought alongside them because they were also fighting for our future. A future where we would all be saved.” Said Alice.

“If daddy's a doctor, then why do people call him Chief?” Said Alice. Said Lucy.

“Oh, that's because after the battle, when they came back, the former chief made Dad the new chief of the settlement, and as the former chief, he took up the role as judge, but Dad is still a doctor. Said Alice

“I want to be a doctor like Daddy,” said Lily.

“I hope you achieve your dream because this is just the beginning of a new era. One that we could look forward to.” Said Alice.

As Alice was saying this, Lucy came out to the settlement doors and spotted them.

“Alice, Lily, it's time to come back home. I'm about to make dinner.” Said Lucy.

“OK, we'll be on our way, Mom.” Said Alice.

As Alice and Lily looked at the sun going down, Alice spoke.

“Lily, remember this: the sun might go down, but it will always come back up. Our present might be ending, but our future is multiplying because our hope is never lost." Said Alice as they made their way back.
